Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) vetoed Democrat lawmakers’ “assault weapons” ban on Tuesday, along with a number of other Democrat-backed gun controls.
On January 23, 2024, Breitbart News noted that Virginia Democrats were advancing an “assault weapons” ban.
On February 9, 2024, Breitbart News pointed out that the Virginia House Democrats “assault firearm” ban targeted semiautomatic centerfire pistols — like the 9mm or 45 ACP — if said pistols take a detachable magazine and have a threaded barrel.
Semiautomatic centerfire pistols are wildly popular among concealed carriers and target shooters. Some of the most popular semiautomatic centerfire pistols include the 9mm, 45 ACP, and 10mm, and a pistol chambered

Amit Soussana, a female lawyer who battled her captors as they took her hostage from Kfar Aza, Israel, during the October 7 terror attack, suffered sexual assaults by a Hamas terrorist in Gaza, she told the New York Times.
In an interview published Tuesday, Soussana, 40, provided details about how she was tortured, groped, and forced to perform a sexual act on one of the guards watching in a room at a private home during her weeks in captivity.
Soussana is the first Israeli hostage to provide details to the public about being a victim of sexual violence by Hamas. The Times reported:
“He came towards me and shoved the gun

Last summer the regime of socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro announced that leading opposition candidate Maria Corina Machado was ineligible to run for office. The country hadn't held an election in five years at that point but Machado was expected to be the leading candidate if the current government agreed to hold an election.
The opposition held a primary to decide who would face off with Maduro and, as expected, Machado won despite the government sending out its colectivo thugs on motorbikes to harass opposition voters.
Machado hoped that a clear win in the primary would embarrass the socialist government into allowing her on the ballot, but in January

Buoyed by legions of avid supporters, Donald Trump made a bubbly debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange Tuesday.
Shares of Trump Media & Technology Group soared like helium from the opening bell and maintained most of those gains until late in the trading day when a selloff brought Trump's namesake social media company closer to earth with a closing market value of nearly $8 billion, on par with ride-hailing company Lyft and online marketplace Etsy.
It was also an epic trading day for Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee and Trump Media's largest shareholder.

Ronna McDaniel, the former chair of the Republican National Committee, was ousted by NBC News as a paid contributor after vocal protests from the network’s staff over her hiring.
NBCU News Group Chair Cesar Conde announced the decision to part with Daniels, who just made her inaugural network appearance Sunday, to staff in a Tuesday memo obtained by The Hill. “No organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned,” Conde wrote. “Over the last few days, it has become clear that this appointment undermines that goal.”

Newsmax, the conservative cable news channel touted by former President Trump and his allies, received funding from a member of the Qatari royal family during Trump’s years in the White House, according to a new report.
The Washington Post reported Tuesday that a member of the Qatari royal family invested roughly $50 million in Newsmax in 2019 and 2020, citing documents and representatives for the media company and the royal. At the time the investment was made, the Post noted a coalition of countries led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates had put up a diplomatic and economic blockade against Qatar, over what they said were ties to terrorist

The New York judge overseeing former President Trump’s hush money trial imposed a gag order on Trump on Tuesday, preventing him from attacking jurors and court staff as his trial approaches.
Judge Juan Merchan’s order still enables Trump to publicly attack the judge and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D).
But it prevents the former president from attacking other prosecutors, court staff and their family members “if those statements are made with the intent to materially interfere with” the case.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican, agreed to pay nearly $300,000 in restitution on Tuesday under a deal cut with federal prosecutors to terminate fraud charges that have been leveraged against him for nine years. Paxton had pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors announced the decision in a Houston courtroom just weeks before Paxton was set to face trial, where he could have faced 99 years in prison if found guilty.
Paxton's attorney, Dan Cogdell, told Fox News Digital following the announcement that "the state finally realized that they could not prove the charges and simply made us an offer that I could not

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Tuesday appeared likely to reject a challenge to the abortion pill mifepristone, with a number of justices indicating the lawsuit should be dismissed.
The court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, heard oral arguments on the Biden administration's appeal of lower court rulings that restricted women's access to the pill, including its availability by mail. But during the arguments, there was little discussion of whether the Food and Drug Administration's decisions to lift restrictions on the drug were unlawful.
Instead, the justices focused on whether the group of anti-abortion doctors who brought the lawsuit even had legal standing to bring the claim.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage has called on the government to release full statistics on migrant crime as is done in countries like Denmark while maligning the Tories for opening the country up to “mass criminality” through its open-door immigration policies.
An analysis of figures published by the Danish government statistician (Danmarks Statistik) on the proportional criminal conviction rate of different nationalities between 2010 and 2021, was dominated by migrants from the Middle East and Africa, with migrants from Kuwait, Tunisia, Lebanon, Somalia, Jordan, Uganda, Morocco, Iraq, and Algeria topping the list. Comparatively, over 40 nationalities were more likely to commit crimes compared to their relative population size compared to native Danes.

Politico has a follow up on something which seems pretty strange in retrospect. Just a few months ago, the Biden administration was leaking to the media that it was about to crack down on illegal immigration. Specifically, we were told there might be an executive order coming intended to limit the surge of asylum seekers. But all of that seems to have faded away.
A month ago, the White House was openly considering a string of executive actions to curb migration at the southern border. But no announcements were made. And now, immigration advocates who had been engaged with the Biden administration about the moves say they no longer appear imminent...

Joe Biden abandoned Israel on Monday when he refused to have the U.S. veto a UN Security Council resolution. The resolution called for an immediate ceasefire, which would then stop Israel from wiping out the Hamas terrorists. The ceasefire was not conditional on releasing the hostages, according to the Israeli UN ambassador Gilad Erdan. Republicans, including Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted Biden for throwing Israel under the bus and throwing a lifeline to Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also ripped the move, saying that he would be canceling a trip to D.C. that his aides had planned.
So what has
