Supreme Court justices appeared receptive Monday to National Rifle Association claims that a former New York state official violated its free-speech rights by pressuring banks and insurance companies to blacklist the group after the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida. The NRA is suing former New York State Department of Financial Services superintendent Maria Vullo, who the group says used her regulatory power to economically punish the group for its gun-rights stance in violation of the First Amendment. The Biden administration has backed some of the NRA’s claims and encouraged the high court to reverse a lower court decision to toss out the suit.

The Washington State Supreme Court officially abolished the traditional bar exam requirement for aspiring lawyers Friday due to its perceived negative impact on minorities.
The Supreme Court has announced that the bar exam is no longer a requirement for those who aspire to be practicing lawyers. The Bar Licensure Task Force claims that the exam is only minimally effective in measuring competency and noted its unfair barrier to marginalized communities aspiring to practice law, according to the Washington Administrative Office of the Courts. The Task Force on Bar Licensure found that the usual bar exam unfairly stops people from underrepresented groups from entering the legal profession.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp cut short a concert Sunday in Toledo when hecklers in the crowd wouldn’t stop interrupting him.
Mellancamp, who has clashed with audiences in the past, was interrupted initially as he was telling a story. A video on TikTok shows Mellencamp respond as an unseen audience member at the Stranahan Theater in Toledo yells from the crowd that he should “play some music.”
The audience booed the heckler. Then Mellencamp addressed the heckler directly and told someone on the concert staff to bring the man to him after the show.

Free speech is on trial at the Supreme Court, but Justice Kentanji Brown Jackson is no fan of the First Amendment. The Constitution, you see, limits the government. But leftists want unlimited government — which is why they hate the Constitution.

NASA’s X-59 quiet supersonic aircraft has been moved to the paint barn at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works’ facility in Palmdale, California, says the space agency.
Once painted, the team will take final measurements of its weight and exact shape to improve computer modeling. The supersonic passenger plane aims to fly faster than the speed of sound, at almost twice as fast as Concorde.
Engineers are aiming to reduce the sound of the typical sonic boom to a sonic thump to minimise disruption to people on the ground.

The Biden administration is expected this week to finalize highly anticipated regulations targeting gas-powered vehicle tailpipe emissions, considered the tip of the spear in its efforts to electrify the transportation sector. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is slated to issue the final rulemaking — which officials have boasted will incentivize greater adoption of electric vehicles (EV), but which opponents have criticized as a de facto mandate — as soon as Wednesday, industry sources told Fox News Digital. The regulations, a key part of President Biden's climate agenda, would ultimately force automakers to more rapidly expand electric options in their fleets beginning in a matter of years.

Last March, Matt Taibbi testified before congress about the investigation that was widely known as the Twitter Files. Here's a bit of what he had to say.
The original promise of the Internet was that it might democratize the exchange of information globally. A free internet would overwhelm all attempts to control information flow, its very existence a threat to anti-democratic forms of government everywhere.
What we found in the Files was a sweeping effort to reverse that promise, and use machine learning and other tools to turn the internet into an instrument of censorship and social control. Unfortunately, our own government appears to be playing a lead role…

President Biden’s and former President Trump’s recent visits to the Texas border left no doubt that the Biden administration’s open border policy has led to an invasion crisis. An estimated 7.2 million illegals have entered the U.S. under his presidency, an amount equal to the population of 36 states. While Biden continues to call for “border security,” Congress has gotten nowhere in the failed attempt to pass a law that would resume the Trump administration’s efforts to build a wall. Similarly, the Biden administration’s repeated promises to secure the border ring hollow despite being touted in the mainstream media echo chamber.

It really is a transparently obvious contrast that highlights how far the west has fallen. Russia holds transparent elections and Vladimir Putin wins 87% of the vote, resoundingly being reelected; yet Biden calls it a dictatorship. Meanwhile Ukraine cancels all elections, Zelensky declares the political opposition party unlawful; yet Biden calls it a democracy.
The totalitarian areas and liberty areas are ideologically inverting as a direct outcome of western governments deliberately cleaving the globe. What they call “globalism” is actually a fracturing of the international compact. This reality is now transparent and obvious to the ordinary person, and the Ukraine vs Russia example stands as direct evidence

Back when the Biden administration passed the hilariously named Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), a significant debate broke out over a provision that would funnel massive amounts of money to the Internal Revenue Service. The funds would supposedly go to hire an army of new agents who would diligently work to ensure that everyone was "paying their fair share" of taxes and that government revenue was predicted to increase. Conservatives pushed back hard against the plan, but most of the IRS funding survived. Yet the anticipated benefits have still yet to show up. The reason for this, according to a new report from the Inspector General for Tax Administration is that

From Tuesday's Fourth Circuit decision in Duvall v. Novant Health, Inc., written by Judge Agee and joined by Judges Quattlebaum and Floyd (upholding a damages award of "about $4 million"): (snip) "To be clear, employers may, if they so choose, utilize D&I-type programs. What they cannot do is take adverse employment actions against employees based on their race or gender to implement such a program. And as recounted above, the evidence presented at trial in this case was more than sufficient for a reasonable jury to conclude that is precisely what Novant Health did to Duvall."

Zachary Stieber, a reporter with the Epoch Times, released the CDC report on the frequency of myocarditis following the COVID vaccines.
Zachary posted the FOIAed documents here. [Tweet]
Every single page was redacted! EVERY SINGLE WORD! Every single word was redacted. Last September, nearly two years after the introduction of the COVID vaccine, Dr. Anthony Fauci finally admitted the vaccines cause myocarditis.
So when did they learn this? And how severe were the results?
Vigilant Fox added: “They’re is obviously something very wrong that they are trying to hide.

In 2011, then Homeland Security Advisor to President Obama, John Brennan, swore before Congress that drone-targeted assassination missions near the Pakistani border had not led to “a single collateral death.” That was an obvious lie with grave consequences, given that Brennan was sworn under oath and was one of the top officials in the US national security community. Yet there were no subsequent repercussions. In fact, the opposite occurred. Brennan was subsequently rewarded with a 2013 appointment as CIA Director.
But the next year, once again, Brennan lied to Congress,

In an exclusive RedState interview, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) explained why his bill to preserve AM radios in vehicles is a winner for consumers and the country. The Cruz bill, The AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, which would mandate that automakers keep the AM radio, already has 47 co-sponsors and passed the Senate’s Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, so it is awaiting a floor vote.
This should be the year to celebrate the centennial of the AM car radio, a fixture in automobiles up until now. Yet instead of celebrating this landmark, BMW, Mazda, Volkswagen, Tesla, and others are all planning to eject AM radio from the dashboard.

The day before yesterday, at an Ohio campaign rally, President Trump predicted a financial “bloodbath” facing the U.S. automobile industry if he is not elected.
His exact words were as follows:
"If you're listening President Xi and you and I are friends but he understands the way I deal. Those big monster car manufacturing plants that you're building in Mexico right now and you think you're going to get that and not hire Americans and you're going to sell the cars to us.
"We’re going to put a 100 percent tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars

"The Kamala conundrum comes down to this: She was picked because she was Black and female, a combo tantamount to job security. Now that she has become a burden to the Democratic ticket, Biden can’t fire her. He can’t risk alienating his base. Full stop."
That was Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker, in a March 15 piece headlined “For the Country’s Sake, Vice President Harris Should Step Aside,” a move proposed “with all due respect.” If readers wonder how much respect is due, a ballpark figure would be zero, and that was true from the start.
Kamala Harris owes everything to poontronage from Willie Brown, a Democrat queenmaker 30 years her senior.

Shortly after Donald Trump made remarks at a rally in Ohio, Joe Scarborough posted on X: “Donald Trump’s America. And he is proud of it. Promised another ‘bloodbath’ if he loses again.” The picture was from the Jan. 6 riot.
Soon after, however, Scarborough deleted the post.
We can’t say for certain why, except that he hit the delete button shortly after Elon Musk responded to “Morning Joe” with this comment:
At least Scarborough had the good sense to take back his inflammatory and wildly out-of-context portrayal of what Trump had said. The same can’t be said for almost every other major news outlet,

There’s plenty of bad news about the Republican campaign in 2024, and I’ve covered it in detail, but objectivity requires that one correctly assess what is going right too, and there’s a lot going right for Republicans right now. First and foremost, there is the massive change at the Republican National Committee with the firing of the utterly useless Ronna McDaniel and the elevation of Michael Whatley and Lara Trump.Next, Donald Trump is in a position where it looks like he is likely to win the presidency if current trends continue…that’s one heck of an if. And, finally, we also seem to be doing pretty well in the Senate races.

Leftists across social media freaked out on Saturday after Donald Trump warned of a “bloodbath” in the automobile industry if Joe Biden wins in November.
Trump made the remarks during a rally in Dayton, Ohio, where he was warning about the impacts on the automobile industry if he is not re-elected.
“Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath. That’s going to be the least of it,” Trump said during a rally near Dayton, Ohio. “It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”
If this election isn’t won, I’m not sure that you’ll ever have another election in this country,” he added.

Prepare to read a remarkable statement: “everything is broken in this country.”
According to a recent poll, 70 percent -- seventy! -- of Canadians agreed with that assertion. Those surveyed say that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s (radically) Liberal government is too focused on climate change and the war in Ukraine, and not dealing with issues important to them, such as the high -- and rising -- cost of living.
“Everything is broken in this country.”
Much the same is true in America, where the (radically) progressive Biden administration is obsessed with battling climate change, funding the war in Ukraine, and making sure that everyone’s preferred pronouns -- and bathroom choices -- are honored.

People are curious,” Barnett said in a recent interview with The Post. “There are a million listings that say, ‘Great Views.’ Let’s do something different. There's new reporting about Joe Biden, and it's not looking good from inside the campaign.
According to the report from NBC, Biden is "angry and anxious about his reelection effort." Nearly 20 lawmakers, present and past administration officials, and Biden allies, dished on his anger about Trump leading him in the polls.
When he found out that his numbers were dropping, he was "seething." That's why he's now throwing Israel and Netanyahu under the bus, and doing all he can to try to appeal to the left to get them back into the fold.
The polls have left him frustrated and questioning the travel and communication strategies.

According to media, last December the three Chinese auto manufacturers, MG, BYD, and Chery, announced they were going to spend billions building new EV manufacturing plants in Mexico. Each Chinese auto manufacturer was going to spend between $1.5 to $2.0 billion.

This reality is now transparent and obvious to the ordinary person,

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) railed against the Justice Department on Sunday for taking too long to indict and prosecute former President Donald Trump in the various cases against him. He also lashed out at Trump for seeking to delay his trials. While Schiff insists that his criticism is motivated by a desire for justice, it is abundantly obvious that this is more about politics.
Schiff made his remarks during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union.” The host brought up Schiff’s disagreement with Attorney General Merrick Garland’s handling of the investigations into the former president, particularly when it comes to the timing.

The Perfect Storm Explained: Drivers Licenses for Illegals + Noncitizen Voting + Mail-in Ballots + Private Funding of Elections + Partisan Hack SOSs (Photo) Does undocumented immigrant mean illegal alien? If you hesitated before answering yes, you are a victim of progressive doublespeak. Undocumented immigrants are illegal aliens. Noncitizens, whether here legally or illegally, are not allowed to vote in our nation’s elections. It’s a felony for noncitizens to vote, and the U.S. and state constitutions clearly prohibit foreigners from voting. Even so, “The Department of Justice appears to be using taxpayer dollars to have jails and the U.S. Marshals Service encourage incarcerated felons and noncitizens to register to vote,”

Democrat President Joe Biden is “angry and anxious” about his struggling reelection campaign, NBC News reports.
Things are so bad inside the White House that, at one recent meeting where advisers informed Biden of his falling poll numbers in battleground states like Michigan and Georgia, Biden then began yelling and cursing at staffers. “President Joe Biden was seething,” NBC’s Peter Nicholas, Courtney Kube, and Carol E. In the absence of an extremely unlikely recovery of public confidence in the President and the Democrats, the voters will attempt to return the White House and the Senate to the Republicans in November. As to the presidency, Trump is the beneficiary of an accelerating collapse in the traditional Democratic coalition that rested on a foundation of white working class and minority voters. And there aren’t enough “highly-educated” voters to prop up this crumbling edifice. With regard to the Senate, the Democrats face a brutal map this year. Of the 33 seats up for election, 23 are held by Democrats.

They also argued that the case should be heard in front of the High Court. My colleague Susie Moore gave us the good news and the bad news:
Now, here's where the bad(ish) news comes in. The court granted certiorari in conjunction with granting the government's request for a stay, meaning

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden was seething.
In a private meeting at the White House in January, allies of the president had just told him that his poll numbers in Michigan and Georgia had dropped over his handling of the war between Israel and Hamas.
Both are battleground states he narrowly won four years ago, and he can’t afford any backsliding if he is to once again defeat Donald Trump. He began to shout and swear, a lawmaker familiar with the meeting said.
He believed he had been doing what was right, despite the political fallout, he told the group, according to the lawmaker. Asked about the episode, Andrew Bates,
