Mornings in Northeastern Pennsylvania start on WILK-FM with ‘The Bob Cordaro Show’ described as “convincingly conservative, lovingly logical, proudly and passionately patriotic and reliably right”. And then eventually other conservatives, including Ben Shapiro, come on the air.
But that may be about to change.
WILK is one of a number of Pennsylvania stations owned by Audacy (five in Philadelphia alone), the second largest radio broadcaster in America and it, along with over 200 radio stations across the country, is about to fall into the hands of George Soros in time for the 2024 election..

Look at the debacle that Air America was. Then just hope that Soros has thrown away millions on a concept that Americans have already judged progressive (regressive) radio to be a disaster.

Audacy was bankrupt for a reason...AM radio was a low income business until Rush Limbaugh, he made it a profitable powerhouse Nationwide, with nationwide syndicated "Stars". The ONLY person I would be willing to tune in for anymore is Mark Styen, and he is not on the air, anywhere.
There is enough small towers with nearly NO Income, that even in those areas Soros takes over a station, it won't cost much for someone else to rent another dial spot if they had/have a ready audience and a good ad sales team.
Young Lefty's are not likely to tune in to am, they have phone aps that play through their cars or ipods, Old Lefty's will stay with NPR. Hopefuly this will just suck a couple Billions out of Soros's coffers.
Car manufacturers are starting to not even OFFER AM radios anymore...let alone have them standard in every vehicle.
It might be interesting to see if someone could market a "Vintage Rush" station package, maybe a best of, maybe a matched date from days gone by. "Today in History" sort of thing.

Bo Snerdley (James Golden) has a podcast & live radio show; 'Rush Hour'. It may be the closest to Rush revival as we get.

AM has been dying for years. The number of people who listen to AM via real AM antenna is small and shrinking.
Everything today is over the net. Podcasts, YouTube videos, live streams on services of all sorts.
If Soros wants to give charity to the AM radio station owners, more power to him. It's not the 90s anymore.

Yeah. Fill the airwaves with libs.
Watch the ratings drop. They may stay on the air, but no one listens.
It's like the story we were taught in marketing class. Company has a great idea for a new dog food. Does focus groups, etc. With dog owners and expect to sell well. Initial sales exceed expectations, but resale falls dramatically. They found out the dogs hated the food.

This move could backfire big time. Bubba does not want to listen to far left voices telling him that men can have babies, the border is secure, and the economy is booming.

Remember Air America? Didn't think so. That's the future for these Soros stations. Conservatives will just create a new venue.

KRLD in Dallas is one of the buckles in the best of this Audacity deal--
Radio is a very ad effective way to spread a message as well as News, Weather and Traffic safety information. It is invaluable to the public's interest, and a quick and easy way to get information out to the masses.
This must be stopped before people get the impression that those factual pieces of information take a back seat to politically-driven brainwashing attempts to change attitudes due to the back and forth of TALK RADIO which must at all costs be squelched.

Thanks for the heads up #4 I definitely will tune in. I miss Rush and the two guys in his timeslot just don't cut it. Then there's the yammering putz Hannity. I can no longer stomach him. Don't get me started on that doofus Brian Kilmeade who comes on at 10am. All of my favorite hosts have either retired, died, gone on to do tv or got replaced by lesser talent. So, talk radio just isn't worth it anymore.
