On Friday, the U.S. Department of the Treasury confirmed, in a letter to Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), that the Treasury has been using political watchwords in searches during surveillance of the financial transactions of American citizens. Senator Scott is the ranking Republican on the Senate Banking Committee.
The Biden administration has confirmed that terms like "MAGA," "Trump" and "Kamala" were included in the push by federal investigators for banks to surveil private financial transactions following the Jan. 6, 2021 protests at the U.S. Capitol, /snip/ "Exchange events" convened by its Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, or FinCEN, "began shortly after January 6 under the prior Administration,"

Authorities on Friday nabbed a 15-year-old migrant suspected of shooting a tourist and firing at cops in Times Square, law enforcement sources said.
The US Marshals Fugitive Recovery Task Force took the Venezuelan teen into custody in Yonkers at around 3:30 p.m., according to the sources.
It came just moments after NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell identified Jesus Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa as the “armed and dangerous” person of interest in connection with the chaotic incident at the Crossroads of the World Thursday night.
He arrived in New York from Venezuela in September and has been staying at a temporary shelter at the Stratford Hotel on West 70th Street, Chell said.

Welcome to 2024, where the same man who was just absolved of criminal responsibility for the willful retention and mishandling of classified documents, largely due to his being elderly and having a faulty memory, is nevertheless held up by his fellow Democrats as being fit for reelection as commander in chief and de facto leader of the free world.
I've heard of damning with faint praise before, but Special Counsel Robert Hur's report is next level. Of course they aren't recommending criminal prosecution of Old Joe. That was pretty much a given.

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, after suffering a humiliating loss in the Nevada primaries, complained that former President Donald Trump “rigged” the race to prevent her from making a decent showing.
Haley’s comments come weeks before the much-anticipated South Carolina primaries. Given that this is her home state, it will be a critical race that could decide the future of her candidacy.
During an interview, a reporter asked if her loss in Nevada would hurt her campaign. Haley responded, claiming that the race was a “scam” and explained why her campaign did not direct any spending in the state.

Nikki Haley hasn't been faring well in the GOP primaries thus far (to put it mildly). But she appeared to have a foolproof plan for Nevada. While everyone else who bothered to run is competing in the caucus tomorrow, Haley was the only prominent candidate to enter their name in yesterday's primary. As it turns out, that plan didn't work out very well either. Haley managed to lose by a significant margin to "None of these candidates." The "none of the above" option drew more than 60% of the vote in a race with very sparse turnout. (NY Post). President Biden emerged victorious in Nevada’s Democratic primary Tuesday,

Did you know that kids across America are enjoying this year's Black Lives Matter "Week of Action?"
This is thanks to the endorsement of the National Education Association, the largest teachers' union. It has partnered up with BLM (they still exist?) to engage students in anti-White, anti-Jewish, and anti-Western activities designed to prepare children to become good citizens in the coming de-colonialized America.
There is absolutely nothing good to recommend about the BLM Week of Action, but this year, a new and particularly vile twist has been added to the mix: a call to martyrdom.

The Justice Department on Tuesday announced charges against 70 current and former New York City Housing Authority employees on allegations of corruption and bribery.
"These 70 defendants are accused of demanding kickbacks and bribes for access to no-bid contracts and lucrative, under-the-table deals," Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Ivan Arvelo said.
The defendants were "charged with allegedly accepting cash payments from contractors in exchange for awarding NYCHA contracts," according to federal officials.

A clear majority see that His Fraudulency Joe Biden is in mental decline and believe (correctly) that the media are trying to cover this frightening fact up.
Between January 28-30, Rasmussen Reports surveyed 934 likely voters and asked, “Do you feel like, over time, Joe Biden is getting less and less mentally sharp?” Across every gender, racial, and age line, a majority said yes.
Of everyone polled, 59 percent said yes, while only 33 percent disagreed. Looking at the internals, 61 percent of men said yes, as did 57 percent of women, 63 percent of those aged 18-39, 60 percent aged 40-64,

With a few subtle changes, the article you're about to read would appear to be satire.
The New York City Police Department, beset by out-of-control crime, repeat violent offenders released back to the streets, a growing invasion of illegal aliens, and Democrat politicians who won't let officers do their jobs has taken matters into its own hands — by banning facial hair and wearing newly designed uniforms.

"Huh?" you ask.
The NYPD is going "old school," according to Chief of Patrol John Chell, who told department brass at a recent Compstat meeting at One Police Plaza:
Uniform changes are coming rather quickly. No more beards in about a week.

Poor communication and a refusal to adapt to evolving scientific evidence led to unnecessary school closures and the restriction of outdoor activity during the Covid outbreak, contributing to the “pandemic chaos” that plagued the country for more than two years, a scathing report published Monday revealed.
The report, “Pandemic lessons for the 2024 presidential election,” was published in the British Medical Journal and draws on a breadth of scientific studies to assess the policy failures that led to significantly higher death rates in the U.S. than in other developed countries. “During the devastating global covid-19 pandemic, one nation stood out: the United States saw ‘eye wateringly high’ death rates

Americans will soon be subjected to facial recognition screening in airports as a new program that is quietly rolling out the technology to 400 locations across the US.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is 'in the beginning stages of integrating automated facial recognition capability' to current systems that scan flyers' credentials but won't be fully operational until 2030 or 2040.
The upgrade, which claims to capture 'minimum data' will match the traveler's face to their identification document, flight status and vetting status - and the facial recognition system is already used at 25 airports.

The Biden administration finalized an energy efficiency rule for stoves on Monday after claiming that it has no intention to ban gas-powered models.
The Department of Energy (DOE) published the final rule in accordance with a court order that requires the agency to publish the rule by the end of January. The administration proposed an aggressive efficiency regulation for stoves in February 2023 and subsequently promised that it is not attempting to ban gas stoves, calling suggestions to the contrary “misinformation.”
Compliance with the rules will be required for newly-manufactured products starting in January 2028, according to the DOE.
Comments:
What diabolical things are going on here? We know Biden is a rutabaga, but what about the decades of purloined docs he's kept. The Dems want him gone, but what means will they use?
We're in dangerous times.
