At least three people have died in the historic flooding battering California, as multi-million-dollar mansions are trashed by rivers of flowing mud and boulders - while forecasters predict more rain is still to come. The Pineapple Express, a weather system lingering over much of the Golden State, is causing chaos over several regions including the star-studded Beverly Hills, Malibu and Montecito neighborhoods. The severe weather system has killed three Californians so far and 38 million people remain under flood alerts, as the National Weather Service forecasts additional rainfall of up to six inches into Tuesday.

At a budget meeting on Friday Feb. 2, the HRM approved Halifax Public Libraries’ proposed $25 million budget for 2024/25, an increase of $1.5 million from last year. What makes this a bitter pill to swallow, even if it was pre-approved in December, is that nearly half of the increase—$692,355 of your hard-earned tax dollars—is because of and will mostly go to Jeff Bezos. When the library wants to buy a book, an actual ink-on-paper object, it costs about $15 and they can have it until it falls apart. If the library wants an audio book, it costs thousands of dollars to lend it out for two years.

Or some other excuse to invoke martial law and lockdowns for “public safety.” How about those millions of migrants, military-aged males, an invading army ready to cause trouble when called upon?

President Joe Biden's foul language continues after he allegedly called Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu a 'bad f****** guy.' People who have spoken to President Joe Biden are claiming that the 81-year-old leader called Benjamin Netanyahu a 'bad f****** guy' in private conversations, Politico revealed. Biden's alleged insults come as the U.S. is dragged further into war and conflict in the Middle East. Politico's Jonathan Martin wrote a column on Sunday explaining how Biden, 81, is losing millions of votes amongst young liberals for the United States' support of Israel amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza with Hamas.

The Senate Republican’s chief negotiator of the open borders deal appears to be feeling the heat. In an email sent Sunday night to outside groups and obtained by Breitbart News, Sen. James Lankford’s (R-OK) staff pleads for air cover in support of the Senate border bill. “[I]f you and/or your group agrees that this policy could help at the border today and give the next Administration helpful tools to use, please feel free to share a statement of support with our team that we can amplify,” reads the Sunday night email to recipients.

Former President Donald Trump suggested in an interview Sunday that “some changes” could be coming to the Republican National Committee when asked about Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel’s performance. Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings showed the RNC had only $8 million cash in hand, its lowest figure since 2014. “Sunday Morning Futures” host Bartiromo asked Trump during the interview about the RNC’s apparent cash issues under McDaniel, who came under fire after Republicans underperformed expectations of a “red wave” in the 2022 midterm elections and had a disappointing 2023 election night, losing control of the Virginia General Assembly and failing to unseat Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear of Kentucky.

Former President Donald Trump scored his largest lead yet against President Biden Sunday in a new NBC poll, as voters gave the incumbent poor marks across the board. Trump, 77, notched a 47% to 42% lead over Biden, 81, with registered voters, marking an increase from his 46% to 44% edge recorded in a November poll from the outlet. “This is the biggest lead NBC has ever had in 16 polls for Donald Trump over Joe Biden,” NBC’s political correspondent Steve Kornacki told “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

Immigration policies that admit vast numbers of low-skill workers are a plague on Americans in low-skill jobs, warned the late, great Barbara Jordan — the Texas congresswoman who chaired President Bill Clinton’s immigration commission back in the 1990s. Open borders make a welfare state unworkable, warned America’s leading Socialist, Sen. Bernie Sanders — before he started toeing the new Democratic Party line amid his 2016 presidential run. Warnings fully vindicated by The Post’s Isabel Vincent’s deep dive inside the city’s cash-based underground migrant economy.

When he left the White House, Donald Trump was a pariah. After years of bending Washington to his will with a single tweet, Trump was, at least for a moment, diminished. He was a one-term Republican president rejected by voters and then shunned by large swaths of his party after his refusal to accept his 2020 election defeat culminated in an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol that sent lawmakers running for their lives. Some members of his Cabinet had discussed invoking the 25th Amendment, seeing him unfit to remain in office. He was banned from social media and became the first president to be impeached twice.

The Senate immigration bill, aka border security bill, is only designed as the cover for the Senate to send $60 billion more to Ukraine. The Ukraine money is the priority (corps/lobbyists) the border “security” bill is the technique to create and spend it. That said, they certainly would not want to let a created and purposeful border crisis go to waste, and they didn’t. The latest version of the Senate Immigration Reform Bill is now public [SEE HERE]. The proposed Senate border security bill provisions are actually worse than existing non-secure border provisions.

The hot topic of immigration has come to a boil in recent weeks with a clash between President Joe Biden and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott over the building of a border fence to keep illegal entrants from crossing into the U.S. Americans lean strongly toward Abbott in the feud, expressing strong support for a border wall, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. Along with the economy and health care, immigration has leapt to the fore among the many issues that concern Americans this election year. The latest national online I&I/TIPP Poll, including 1,402 registered voters, asked three questions related to the topic, with special focus on the U.S.-Texas border row.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) celebrated Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) with the reveal of the new immigration plan, adding that the two have “never worked more closely.” “I have never worked more closely with Leader McConnell on any piece of legislation as we did on this,” Schumer told reporters on Sunday, according to Andrew Desiderio of Punchbowl News. (X) As Breitbart News reported on Sunday, the newly revealed bill had some concessions made on border security along with other glaring red flags: The establishment authors of the bill have largely hidden its contents — along with many possible loopholes, exceptions, modifications, and caveats

Former President Trump is all but certain to win the 2024 Republican presidential nomination and he will defeat President Biden in November — if the voters are allowed to decide the outcome. Though a number of polls show Trump leading in most if not all of the seven states that will be truly competitive this year, only Georgia and North Carolina have enacted meaningful election integrity legislation since the last presidential contest. The remaining five have doggedly refused to adopt serious reforms that will ensure fair and honest elections. Not coincidentally, they include states that Biden won in 2020 by tiny margins after protracted post-election vote counting.

That’s what solar power does. American Experiment’s Isaac Orr and Mitch Rolling have an excellent expose of California’s solar power scam: Stealing with Solar: The Great Net-Metering Heist. Subhed: “How Solar Panels Helped Wealthy Californians Pick The Pockets of Low-Income Families.” See original for links: Affluent households in California siphoned nearly $3.4 billion in 2021 from the pockets of low-income families through a government program called net metering. This program allows people with solar panels to get free electricity while forcing people who can’t afford them to pay all of the costs associated with maintaining the electric grid. What a steal!

I’m old enough to remember when the late, great Rush Limbaugh referred to NBC’s Sunday political affairs show as Meet the Depressed. A return to that moniker might be in order after today’s opening segment on the latest NBC News poll, showing former President Donald Trump opening a five-point lead over incumbent President Joe Biden and triggering a panic over Biden’s “presidency in peril”. Watch as host Kristen Welker opens the show with utter shock over the poll before quickly finding a culprit for Biden’s bad numbers: KRISTEN WELKER: Steve, these are some truly stunning numbers. STEVE KORNACKI: They really are, Kristen, and let's just start with the bottom line.
