Thomas Lifson recently wrote about In-N-Out Burger and Denny’s fleeing Oakland, California. Crime became so constant and blatant it was too dangerous for employees and customers. At the In-N-Out, criminals were going from car to car in the drive-up lane, robbing customers as they waited for their orders. This kind of wanton, and unrestrained criminality isn’t limited to California. It’s everywhere Democrats/socialist/communists rule, places across the country like Boston:
Walgreens was accused of "racial discrimination" by a Democratic lawmaker in Massachusetts after the pharmacy giant closed another location in Boston.

The ATM scene from "L.A. Story" come to life. Except the robbers aren't courteous now.

Baldy got what she wanted, to use Sunny Johnson’s words “congresswoman wanted to destroy capitalism and she’s succeeding so what her problem?” ( loosely translated).

Actually, DC Attorney General Schwalb is partly correct when he says, 'We cannot arrest and prosecute our way out of it.' Because the problems in Black communities begin long before the young are old enough to commit crimes - though that 'coming of age' happens younger and younger with every generation. These communities truly need a 'Come to Jesus' revolution because until the Black family is restored with two-parent homes - incarceration though important iwill remain a day late and a many dollars short.

When the store says they are closing due to ''The changing dynamics of the marketplace', you can assume they are tired of being robbed blind.

Yah think. It took them a long time for Corporations to realize that wanton theft affected their bottom line and ultimately raised their prices to cover the theft and lost customers because of the increased prices. There are black politicians that don't understand that there are side effects to thievery. One of them are big store deserts. The Islamic punishment for thievery (loss of hands) may become mainstream.

Walgreens is my pharmacy in a well-ordered town, and I truly appreciate their business. I don't blame them if their employees don't want to work in dangerous locals. Even their customers are afraid to walk the streets due to rampant crime. Sounds like they're waiting to train young people from birth up, to become lawful citizens, rather than incarcerating the criminals who are right now on the streets. In Israel and Jordan years ago, I saw thieves (past tense) walking around with missing fingers. When questioned, I was told that they had a finger cut off when they stole something. To be noticed by the public with missing fingers was a great deterrent. Too harsh? Well, crime is harsh too!

Maybe Biden and the Obama appointed leftist and socialist Democrat crew that manages Biden should think about placing government run socialist pharmacies in so-called minority (Black) “communities” in the big leftist and socialist Democrat cities like Boston. Then the residents could purchase or steal whatever items they wish with nobody outside those “communities” having a clue as to was taking place in those government run socialist pharmacies. If that were to occur companies like Walgreens could move to more civilized communities where they could provide their services and make their customary traditional profits without being continuous crime victims and losing millions of dollars worth of merchandise through uncontrolled retail theft.

OK, I'll say it straight out. Most of the crimes committed are by blacks destroying their own. Wrong is wrong no matter who does the perpetrating. No excuses. As for all the major companies and the Mom and Pop storefronts leaving. What the hell does the congresswoman expect? The border, law and order, the economy. Get with it Republicans.

Capitalism is a two way street. It brings merchants and services into communities, while the customers enjoy the convenience and access to products they want and need. The continued presence of those merchants isn't guaranteed, however. When politicians like Pressley support defunding the police, the dynamic changes. Sometimes a merchant can make more money by closing a business and moving on to a better location. Progressive politicians can complain all day about "food deserts" and "discrimination." But note those are progressive politicians who fail to keep communities safe in the first place. It's not up to the merchants to put themselves and their employees at risk.

I sort of understand. In the civil rights days as a school kid, many of us whites wouldn't fight back, knowing that if we did there would be more black ones piling on. We knew (or believed) that if we meekly took a few lumps we might get away without severe damage.
Its different now. If I was trapped in a fast food drive through line and someone approached me to rob, he stands a good chance of getting shot. We tried playing nice and indulging the animals, and it just got us more and worse.
Why arent the criminals afraid? Why is it just the innocent?

Every business should get out while it can.... Because "Directive 10-289" or something much like it is surely just around the corner.
