The state of Massachusetts is asking private homeowners to take in illegal aliens as the state runs out of room to house the thousands of border crossers who are still flooding into the Bay State.
Massachusetts is the only state that has a state-wide “right to housing” rule for homeless families. And with that rule in mind, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey (D) has repeatedly asked legal residents to open up their homes to illegal immigrants for whom officials are having a hard time finding beds.Healey declared a “state of emergency” over the influx of illegal aliens in August, saying in her declaration, “There are currently nearly 5,600 families

The Iowa caucuses are upon us, and it appears former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has improved her position, according to the most recent poll.
But while the survey reveals favorable results for the candidate, what it says about her supporters in Iowa is also noteworthy. The poll revealed that most of her supporters would vote for President Joe Biden if former President Donald Trump became the Republican nominee. While the overwhelming percentage of Republican voters in Iowa would support Trump if he gets the GOP nod, Haley’s supporters have a different plan.

Fani Willis, the Georgia prosecutor trying to bring Donald Trump down through a RICO case, has been silent on charges that she hired her lover as the special prosecutor in the case. (snip) Willis has refused to address the allegations directly but came as close as possible today in a sermon at church. And her response?
She is imperfect, and you are racist for noticing. (snip) "You cannot expect Black women to be perfect and save the world," Willis said. "We need to be allowed to stumble. We need grace."
"We are all flawed, sinners, unworthy, imperfect, damaged...But we are qualified upon His calling," she continued before concluding her remarks.

On the eve of the Iowa caucuses, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, a former ally of Donald J. Trump, delivered a blistering critique of the former President, implying that Trump prioritizes personal loyalty over the nation’s welfare.
In 2017, Donald Trump, who was then serving as President, threw his support behind Ron DeSantis in the race for Florida’s governorship. This endorsement from Trump was a significant boost for DeSantis, a tea-party conservative, enabling him to surpass the right-wing GOP candidate Adam Putnam, who was serving as Florida’s agriculture commissioner at the time, Politico reported.

Off the Press reported, “Conservative activists are up in arms as details of an immigration deal being negotiated in the Senate have been leaked. The proposed plan suggests that illegal border crossers will be immediately eligible for work permits, and the government will allow up to 5,000 illegal immigrants a day before new expulsion powers kick in.The Party of the Bushes once again rescues Democrats right in the nick of time. The public finally rose against illegal immigration and the invasion by immigrants — only to have these Trikki Nikki-level Faux Conservatives sell us out.

An illegal alien, accused of causing St. Johns County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Michael Kunovich’s death, says his “constitutional rights” have been violated and he is the victim of police brutality as well as racial profiling.
As Breitbart News reported, 19-year-old illegal alien Virgilio Aguilar-Mendez of Guatemala was arrested in May 2023 and has been charged with resisting an officer with violence and manslaughter in connection with Kunovich’s death.
Aguilar-Mendez’s defense attorney, Phillip Arroyo, told First Coast News that has threatened to file a federal lawsuit if St. Johns County prosecutors do not drop their charges against his client.
“Mr. Virgilio was a victim of police brutality.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Sunday slammed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene as being "filled with hate," after the Georgia Republican congresswoman called for the Georgia state attorney general to investigate allegations that Willis had an improper relationship with the special prosecutor hired to go after former President Donald Trump.
"Dear God, I don't want to be like those who attack me. I never want to be a Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has never met me but has allowed her spirit to be filled with hate," Willis told the congregation of Atlanta's Big Bethel AME church on Sunday.

President Joe Biden raised more than $97 million in the final three months of last year for his re-election campaign as he prepares to make his case to voters for a second term.
The amount was more money than the $68 million that former President Barack Obama raised during the same period of his reelection but it was dwarfed by the $154 million that former President Donald Trump raised for his.
Biden's war chest was boosted by a series of star-studded fundraising events, including one in Boston that featured singer-songwriter James Taylor, and three days in California for gatherings with Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, Shonda Rhimes, Rob Reiner, and David Geffen.

A dangerous Arctic blast continued sweeping across the US Monday, bringing below-freezing temperatures to more than three-quarters of the country and leaving at least four people dead – including a woman in Oregon who was killed when a tree toppled onto her RV. The bone-chilling cold was expected to set record-low temperatures Monday and Tuesday from Oregon to Mississippi — about 79% of the country — and threaten an NFL playoff game and the Iowa caucuses. Lashing winds and a slushy-like mix of snow and ice brought down some 100 trees over the weekend in a community just south of Portland, Oregon

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the greatest champions of American democracy...Dr. King was assassinated in 1968 while supporting a strike by sanitation workers in Memphis because he represented a fundamental threat to the white racial order and American apartheid. Unfortunately, while pushed back by the civil rights movements of the 1960s and 1970s, these same forces were never defeated in American society. Instead, they adapted and evolved to maintain their power and influence.
With the Age of Trump, ascendant neofascism, and reinvigorated white supremacy the same social and political forces that martyred Dr. King are now reversing the gains of the civil rights movement.

Speaking to Scripps News moments before the start of Monday's Iowa caucuses, former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean said that none of the leading Republican presidential candidates look presidential.
Dean, who was a presidential hopeful in 2004, had a disappointing showing during the Democratic Iowa caucuses that year. [SNIP] "One thing that Republicans have a problem with is none of their candidates look presidential at this point," Dean told Scripps News. "Certainly not any of the leading candidates."
"Biden is the president and he's acting like a president," Dean added about not campaigning in Iowa.
