One of J.P. Morgan strategist Michael Cembalest's predictions on his list of "Ten Surprises for 2024" is getting a lot of attention beyond just folks interested in the market and investing.
It's because Cembalest's third predicted "surprise" is that Joe Biden will pull out of the election between Super Tuesday and November, for health reasons. (X) Super Tuesday is the day that you have a lot of the states holding primaries and caucuses. This year, that's March 5.
Cembalest says that after Biden steps down due to health, the Democratic National Committee will name a replacement to whom to pass the torch. "Biden has a low approval rating

Yeah, yeah, another Democrat has likened a Republican to Hitler; this must be a day ending with a y. But Old Joe Biden has a way of making everything worse, and in his latest smear of the man he wants us to believe is the worst person on planet earth, Donald Trump, Old Joe came through for us yet again.
Barack Obama said it years ago: “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.” On Friday, Old Joe proved his sainted predecessor right yet again in what was supposed to be a stemwinder campaign speech that would get his far-left base all fired up to do

There isn’t much left in this regime to shock the consumer of news.
We have grown accustomed to the daily cavalcade of assaults on American freedoms in the Federal Register; both the autocrat-in-chief and his press secretary have mainstreamed the practice of lying about virtually every issue. They attempt to take both sides of foreign policy issues within the same speech, claiming to be supporters of Israel while supporting Hamas, claiming to be opposed to the risk of nuclear war while encouraging Iranian nuclear advancement.
What is left to shock us, in such an environment?
Well, sometime Friday, January 5, the story developed that Lloyd Austin, the 70-year-old

Happy January 6th to those who celebrate. Specifically, the mainstream press outlets just can't get enough of playing the same clips over and over while proclaiming that the nation was mere minutes from collapse because of a short-lived riot. With each passing year, one would hope the ridiculous urge to make January 6th a national day of remembrance would fade. That would mean giving up what the left-wing media thinks is a winning political issue, though, so we know that's never going to happen. Instead, we'll continue to get insanely pathetic displays like the one I'm about to share with you.

The Department of Defense didn't notify the White House that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was in the Walter Reed National Medical Center intensive care unit until Thursday. That's it.
I've posted twice on the growing mystery of why the Defense Department failed to notify Congress that Secretary Austin was in the hospital. In the first episode, it was revealed in a Pentagon statement on Friday that Austin had been in the hospital since New Year's Day due to "complications" from an "elective medical procedure." This came as a shock to the Pentagon Press Corps and Congress.

On Friday, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, who claims to be a Republican, signed an executive order banning transgender surgeries for children under the age of 18 at any Ohio hospital or ambulatory facility. That's good, right? Wrong. The order comes a week after the governor vetoed sub-HB 68, a bill that not only would have banned transgender surgeries on children, but also would have outlawed chemical castration, puberty blockers, and men participating in women's sports. It also included a provision that would allow recourse for women harmed by men participating in their sports. When he vetoed the SAFE Act, DeWine parroted left-wing trans activists, claiming, without evidence,

With the Christmas season ending and radio stations returning to their regular selection of music, one song I most certainly will not miss is that painful British tune “Do They Know It’s Christmas.” Written nearly 40 years ago by a group of British musicians to raise money for victims of Ethiopia’s famine, the song is best remembered as the leading prompt for millions worldwide to change the station — a truly terrible, annoying, sanctimonious song despite its noble intentions and purported support for a worthy cause.
Resulting mostly from the tribal chaos of the country’s decade-long civil war, the Ethiopian famine affected roughly 8 million people. What saved the nation

Grace Slick, chanteuse and enchantress of ‘60s San Francisco psychedelic rock stalwarts Jefferson Airplane, is often albeit inaccurately credited with the quip, “If you remember the ‘60s, you really weren’t there.” Many a rock'n'roll star has left any effort to chronicle their life story either entirely to a third party or has leaned heavily on a cowriter or ghostwriter to detail the assorted and often sordid detailings of sex, drugs, and … well, rock'n'roll. While Geddy Lee, bassist/keyboardist/singer of Canadian progressive hard rock trio Rush, used assistance in putting together his autobiography

Harvard President Claudine Gay’s recent testimony before the U.S. Congress and subsequent exposure of her academic history have revealed much about the true nature and purpose of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) ideology.
The most significant “A-ha!” moment from le affair Gay is that DEI only “works” in noncompetitive environments such as government and academia. The principles of “diversity” and “equity” implicitly assume that entities and organizations will continue along their current trajectory regardless of who’s in charge. DEI discounts merit, ability, and leadership and assumes as a matter of ideological gospel that “diversity” will more than make up for their loss.

While most Americans are struggling to make ends meet in this economy, Joe Biden was just on his gazillionth vacation, this time in St. Croix. And it looks like he enjoyed plenty of time in the sun because on his way back to Washington, D.C. (a mere layover before his next vacation coming up shortly, no doubt), Biden was seen with a wicked sunburn on his face. "The 81-year-old president’s striking new sunburn was on full display as he shook hands on the tarmac of Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in Christiansted, St. Croix, before boarding Air Force One with first lady Jill Biden.

Ray Epps, the only person who was captured on video actually telling people to storm the Capitol on Jan. 6. 2021, has just been recommended for a six-month sentence, while others who entered the Capitol when police opened the doors for them and walked around for awhile taking selfies are facing years in prison. What’s going on here? The most obvious explanation is that Ray Epps is or was a fed, and a leader of efforts to fabricate a Jan. 6 “insurrection” in order to frame and destroy Donald Trump. But surely the leftist elites wouldn’t dream of doing such a thing, would they? The Daily Wire reported Tuesday

Lee Jae-myung, recognized as South Korea’s main opposition party leader, was stabbed in the neck at an impromptu press conference in the southern city of Busan. Lee had just completed a tour of the Gadeokdo New Airport construction site and had stopped to talk with a gathering of reporters. There, a yet-to-be-identified man in his sixties approached Lee, asking for an autograph. The man mingling with Lee supporters, wore a paper crown with Lee’s name on it. He suddenly lunged forward and stabbed Lee in the left side of his neck. The attacker was immediately subdued, separated from the crowd, and arrested. Lee was airlifted to Pusan National
