After weeks of speculation about whether Harvard University's president, Claudine Gay, would be forced to resign amid a plagiarism and antisemitism scandal, Gay announced that she was stepping down. In her resignation letter, Gay spoke of "personal attacks and threats fueled by racial animus," and made no mention of her failure to properly address antisemitism or the never-ending allegations of plagiarism against her rather limited record of scholarship. Gay, who exploited race to reach the pinnacle of Harvard, chose to blame racism on her way out the door.

We are in a dark place as a country. This is a direct result of the extreme shift to the Left by the Democrat Party. Prior to 2020, President Barack Obama was our most far-Left President. But even Obama was still on the cusp between being an extreme liberal and being a communist. In a recent book, John Drew wrote about his occasional meetings with Obama in the early 1980s and that Drew -- a leftist at that time -- had persuaded Obama to accept a more moderate position than that of the hardcore Marxists. In another article in the same book, Trevor Loudoun reveals that Obamacare was

Ousted Harvard President Claudine Gay speaks out for the first time since her resignation in a New York Times essay, playing down plagiarism allegations and revealing she has been bombarded with racist threats.
Gay, 53, resigned on Tuesday and is now revealing she has been threatened and attacked with hate speech.
Gay wrote, 'On Tuesday, I made the wrenching but necessary decision to resign as Harvard’s president. For weeks, both I and the institution to which I’ve devoted my professional life have been under attack.'

While most Americans are struggling to make ends meet in this economy, Joe Biden was just on his gazillionth vacation, this time in St. Croix. And it looks like he enjoyed plenty of time in the sun because on his way back to Washington, D.C. (a mere layover before his next vacation coming up shortly, no doubt), Biden was seen with a wicked sunburn on his face. "The 81-year-old president’s striking new sunburn was on full display as he shook hands on the tarmac of Henry E. Former President Donald Trump appealed a ruling disqualifying him from Colorado’s 2024 election ballot to the Supreme Court Wednesday.
The Colorado Supreme Court ruled 4-3 Dec. 19 that Trump is ineligible to be on the state’s primary ballot under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. Trump asked the Supreme Court Wednesday to determine whether the court erred in excluding him. “The question of eligibility to serve as President of the United States is properly reserved for Congress, not the state courts, to consider and decide,” the petition states. “By considering the question of President Trump’s eligibility and barring him from the ballot, the Colorado Supreme Court arrogated Congress’ authority.”

By now, one might think that the liberal media would know better than to try to ask a gotcha question of Vivek Ramaswamy. But alas, they have not yet learned that lesson.
On Wednesday, a Washington Post reporter ridiculously asked him to “condemn white supremacy and white nationalism” and was utterly destroyed as a result.
"I'm not — I'm not going to recite some catechism for you,” Ramaswamy began. "I'm against vicious racial discrimination in this country. So I'm not pledging allegiance to your new religion of modern wokeism which absolutely fits the test."

It's been apparent for some time that Joe Biden isn't in any condition to run for president this year. He's in even poorer condition to serve another four years as president; hell, he's not in any shape to serve as president now. I've written a fair amount recently on President Biden's manifest unfitness for office, and going into the election cycle, he's just going to get worse. The question a lot of us are asking is, "What are the Democrats going to do about this?"Over at the Washington Times, Joe Navarro has some ideas. Why is it easier to find lies in the media about “climate change” than truthful information? Why is honest reporting on the environment an outlier instead of a rule?
Media parrots have said for decades that humans, and our use of natural resources are killing the planet, and that oceans, species, and forests are dying. They report on future predictions, but rarely on scientific facts—so I thought I would fill the vacuum.

It was once a commonsense belief and universal truth that men and women, boys and girls, are different, especially in the realm of athletics. With rare exceptions, men and women compete in their own categories, from high school level through college to the Olympic games and professional sports.
Mixed competitions place women and men on the same team, such as mixed doubles in tennis, or dancing, either in the ballroom, or on ice. Equestrian sports are an exception, but the fact that a horse is a major part of the sport reduces the sex difference between competitors.

A former county clerk in Kentucky, Kim Davis, must pay a total of $260,104 in legal fees and expenses to a same-sex couple whom Davis denied a marriage license because of her religious beliefs.
The new sum is in addition to the $100,000 in damages a jury ruled Davis must pay to the couple who sued, David Ermold and David Moore.
The Davis case gained international notoriety in 2015 when she was jailed for refusing to issue a marriage license to a same-sex couple. Davis maintained that she had been faced with a “seemingly impossible choice” between following her conscience and losing her freedom.

Should our government decide “our democracy” is in imminent danger and it’s necessary to suppress dangerous insurrectionists like Catholics and soccer moms, would America’s federal, state and local police play along?
It has long been common knowledge Federal agencies have been stockpiling enormous quantities of mil-spec arms, ammunition and other gear. Agencies like the Railroad Retirement Board, Department of Education and Fish and Wildlife Service have automatic weapon-armed SWAT teams. Apparently, railroad retirees, federal education grant applicants and Trout are a greater threat to “our democracy” than anyone imagined. Let’s evaluate the real potential threat:

Presidential candidate Nikki Haley, like most of us, doesn’t like chaos. She’d prefer that America be an orderly, law-abiding, harmonious nation. Unfortunately, that is no longer the America in which we live. But in her condemnation of “chaos,” Haley confuses correlation with causation, and is using our current turmoil to attack Donald Trump. At a campaign stop in Bluffton, South Carolina, she said:
I agree with a lot of his policies, but the truth is, rightly or wrongly, chaos follows him (Trump). We have too much division in this country, and too many threats around the world to be sitting in chaos once again.

The far-left Associated Press covered itself in corruption this week with the claim that disgraced Harvard President Claudine Gay’s resignation “highlights new conservative weapon against colleges: plagiarism.”
You see, according to AP reporters Collin Binkley and Moriah Balingit (the company itself says “the piece was not up to standards and is in the process of being updated”), Claudine Gay’s serial plagiarism isn’t the story. Also, Not The Story is Gay testifying before the U.S. House under oath that within the appropriate context she doesn’t believe that calling for the extermination of Jews on Harvard grounds violates school policy.
No, the story is that “conservatives” used plagiarism as a “weapon” against Gay.

Claudine Gay, erstwhile Harvard University president reliably accused of serial plagiarism, resigned yesterday. It is not a victory. She should have been fired.
In a collectivist world, no one owns anything. Neither name, face, voice, nor written words.
Neither right, title nor interest in anything tangible or intangible attaches to anyone. No clothes, no food, no shelter, no means of transport, no currency, no birthright, no property. No progeny. No legacy. Everyman, and woman, is named Emanon, or Emanona.
Possessions, likewise identities, are held in common. Or by the state.
Undermining the quaint notion of the rugged individual is the assault on speech and objective truth, denying private property,

Intelligence experts are becoming increasingly convinced that six high end brothels in the suburbs of Boston and Washington, D.C. were set up by a foreign nation as an espionage 'honeytrap'.
They believe the brothels – allegedly masterminded by a 41-year-old South Korean woman – targeted politicians, high ranking government officials and defense contractors.
But the mystery is which country was behind the scheme. Russia, China, Korea itself, or even Israel are al seen as possibly being behind the scheme.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has reached the minimum threshold — 1,000 signatures — to qualify for placement on the presidential ballot in Utah as an independent candidate, the first state where the upstart populist has qualified.

As each state sets its own requirements, and the costs for collecting signatures and filing across states can be prohibitive for candidates without party backing, it is unlikely that Kennedy will qualify for candidacy in every state.

Claudine Gay ended her tenure Tuesday as the shortest president in the history of Harvard University, yet her resignation statement didn’t acknowledge the scandals that led to her ouster—instead suggesting that racism was to blame.
The incident arguably illustrates the effectiveness of conservative critics in drawing attention to Gay’s many scandals, and the fecklessness of a university so rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion that it refuses to acknowledge the ideological roots of the scandal.
Gay, who became Harvard’s president in September 2023, testified about antisemitism on campus at a Dec. 5 hearing in the House of Representatives.

Last week CNN reported that a “December migrant surge” at the southern border was the “largest in more than two decades.” Several other news outlets used similar language. The New York Times warned that “surging” Mexico border crossings “push U.S. resources to the brink.” In another story, CNN even described the situation as a “crisis.”
Weirdly, the press is even exaggerating the current “surge.” Consider that CNN story, which says:

The Jewish family who was targeted with foul-mouthed harassment in a New Jersey mall has spoken out in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com after shocking video of the incident went viral.
On New Year's Day, mother Adi Vaxman was with her husband and two of their children, ages 12 and 16, at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, where the family hoped to play a round of mini-golf.
