Wisconsin Supreme Court, now under liberal
control, overturns Republican-favored
legislative maps

Original Article

The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Friday ruled that the state’s legislative maps, which give Republicans the advantage, are unconstitutional and ordered new lines drawn for the 2024 election. The 4-3 decision overturning the current maps in a key battleground state carries major implications for the 2024 election and comes after liberals won control of the court this spring. The Wisconsin case is among a slew of redistricting fights across the country that could determine control of governing bodies from local governing boards to state legislatures and the US House of Representatives.

I would imagine that these justices on the Wisconsin Supreme Court are all appointed which makes it difficult for the good guys to do anything to stop the spread of demcommie influence in the state so - it will be interesting to see how the repubs in Wisconsin handle this

The legislature should grow a spine and slap the court down. Tell them to stay in their lane. Why do you think the demo-commies always push so hard to stuff their creatures onto the courts? Because they work hard to make everyone believe the courts have the final say. Too many don't remember the Founders clearly said the courts don't have the final say, the people do. And the people are represented by the legislature. Wish 'the people' would wake up and smell the coffee.

The Legislature should tell this biased/partisan court to go ---- itself. Just because they are in the judiciary, no matter what level, they do not have the final say since democrat "justices" are ruling on political philosophy, not law and the Constitution. As such, they should be ignored.

I hope the Republican legislature doesn't just roll over. The U.S. Constitution is clear: elections are the responsibility of the state legislature. Does the Wisconsin Supreme Court have standing to make this decision? What remedies does the Wisconsin legislature have? Even worse, if the dems get away with this, it will be the state supreme courts that will have the last say. That's Unconstitutional.

It seems clear to me that Jack Smith was appointed for the purpose of besetting Donald J. Trump and finding a means to keep him from running for president again. If I’m right, Smith's many strategies have come to naught this week and it is extremely unlikely that the cases he instituted in the District of Columbia and Florida (meritless as I think they are) will ever be resolved before the election. The case in the District of Columbia is being heard before Judge Tanya Chutkan. She indicated she wants to hear the case this coming March and has been firm about sticking to that.

The movie was an awe-inspiring presentation of the evidence proving that Arizona’s midterm election was rigged and covered up with absurd show trials in Kari Lake’s lawsuit to overturn the results. This was a complete guide to the clear evidence of misconduct before election day, fraudulent mail-in ballot signature verification, illegal mail-in ballots with no chain of custody documentation and shady testimony by election officials. It also featured interviews with Kari Lake attorneys Kurt Olsen and Bryan Blehm, We The People AZ Alliance investigators Chris Handsel and Shelby Busch, and Lake expert witnesses Clay Parikh and Heather Honey.
Andrew Cuomo ‘leaning towards’ mayoral
run, if Adams craps out

Andrew Cuomo is officially waiting (very quietly) in the wings, Page Six hears. Insiders tell us that the former governor — who has been quietly polling on his chances of being elected mayor of New York City in the event the troubled Eric Adams craps out — is “leaning towards” a run at City Hall. Adams is not only facing historically low approval ratings, but his office is also under investigation for its ties to the Turkish government. Now we hear Cuomo — who himself resigned in 2021, after a string of sexual harassment allegations against him (which he has consistently denied) — is ready to run should the opportunity present itself.

A major pro-Palestinian advocacy group is creating a political arm that would grade members of Congress on a scorecard, mobilize voters for candidates it supports and make political donations. The news, announced Thursday by the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, followed similar moves in recent years by Jewish Voice for Peace, an anti-Zionist group, and American Muslims for Palestine, amid shifting political currents in the country. For decades, American voters have shown more sympathy for Israelis than Palestinians, and these attitudes have been consistent across party affiliation and age range. But that seems to be changing.

If the Biden administration thought that by rescuing Iran's economy, which had hit bottom, and removing the Houthis from the list of Foreign Terror Organizations would make both Iran into an ally, the generosity appears to have backfired. If the Iranian regime is allowed to advance to nuclear weapons capability, it will be on course finally to drive the US out of the region; threaten its oil-rich neighbors; destabilize Europe; deploy military assets in Venezuela and Cuba, and, at last, come for the "Great Satan," the United States.

Japan’s governing Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) on Friday replaced two of its top executives, as part of a purge related to the worst corruption scandal to rock the country in three decades. The outgoing executives were in charge of policy and parliamentary affairs. They belonged to an LDP faction — a sort of party within a party — formerly led by the late ex-Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Japan’s current prime minister, Fumio Kishida, has been sacking party chiefs and Cabinet members to save his administration, as prosecutors investigate allegations that LDP ministers and lawmakers violated political finance laws.

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) is putting together legislation to require the U.S. military to adhere to state-level red and yellow flag laws for troops. A red flag law allows family, friends, and others, to seek a court order to have guns removed from someone they view as a danger to himself or others. A yellow flag law is more narrow, allowing law enforcement to seek the court order for firearm removal.Collins bill comes in response to the October 25, 2023, Lewiston, Maine, attacks, which were carried out by a member of the U.S. Army Reserve. The attacker used a sniper rifle which was legally purchased.
