Gold prices notched a new record on Monday for a second day in a row — with spot prices touching $2,100 as the global rush for bullion appears set to continue.
Gold prices are on course to hit fresh highs next year and could remain above $2,000 levels, analysts said, citing geopolitical uncertainty, a likely weaker U.S. dollar and possible interest rate cuts. Prices of the yellow metal have risen for two consecutive months with the Israel-Palestinian conflict boosting demand for the safe-haven asset, while expectations of interest rate cuts have provided further support.

This year, Cuyahoga County may still be on track to surpass 2017 for the highest number of overdose deaths. Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas Gilson said fentanyl remains the biggest contributor. "There’s still always the chance you get something you didn't bargain for,” said Gilson.
Since fentanyl appeared in the area's drug supply in late 2014, Cuyahoga County went from around 350 drug overdoses a year to 650 plus every year. The worst year to date was 2017 when 727 people overdosed. In June, when News 5 spoke to Gilson last, he feared the county was on track to surpass 2017.

The flailing Disney Corporation is still digging that woke hole to bury itself in and its latest Christmas movie aimed at teens is just another example of its continuing obsession to jam radical LGBT themes in every movie and TV show it makes for kids.
If you thought you might be tuning in to see its newest holiday flick, “The Naughty Nine,” to see a fun Christmas romp, you’ll instead be confronted with a family headed by a pair of gay dads and another scene where two young boys are confiding in each other about who they think is a male “hottie.”

Cornell University students raging against Israel have 'convicted' their college president of genocide during a mock trial they held over the weekend.
The Cornell Coalition for Mutual Liberation occupied a campus building on Friday, chanting anti-Israel slogans before holding a 'mock trial' of University President Martha Pollack, for 'complicity in genocide,' as the university has ties to Israel.
Just weeks ago, a student was arrested by the FBI after he threatened to shoot up a kosher dining hall and called to kill all Jewish people at Cornell University. The terrifying ordeal has not halted anti-Israel sentiments on campus, however.

Survivors of the Supernova massacre witnessed women being gang raped and beheaded, new testimony has revealed.[Snip]“We collected 1,000 bodies in ten days from the festival site and kibbutzim,”[Snip] “They were all young women. Most in little clothing or shredded clothing and their bodies bloodied particularly round their underwear and some women shot many times in the face as if to mutilate them. “Their faces were in anguish and often their fingers clenched as they died. Bad polls for Biden? MSNBC has a fix for that!
On her MSNBC show on Saturday, Katie Phang's guest, Molly Jong-Fast of Vanity Fair, citing NYU journalism professor Jay Rosen, said that journalists, instead of writing stories about polls, should focus instead on the "stakes" of the election.
And just what are those "stakes?" According to Rosen, the stakes are nothing less than "the consequences for American democracy."

This was the first time in our nation’s history that a lawmaker was expelled from Congress for being accused of a crime.

From inflation to gas-stove bans, it’s clear President Biden and his top officials are living in an alternate reality. Perhaps no issue proves this point more than their unrealistic mandate for electric-vehicles, a multibillion-dollar effort to force Americans into cars they simply don’t want and can’t afford. In a recent speech President Biden bragged that billions of taxpayer dollars were being spent to convert auto-manufacturing factories to produce electric vehicles and “build a network of 500,000 electric-vehicle charging stations all across America.” These actions, he claimed, will help “working families” and “create good-paying union jobs.” But facts are stubborn things

"Sticker shock" has taken on a whole new meaning when new electric vehicle owners get their first repair bill following a simple fender bender. The Wall Street Journal reports that a San Francisco resident got in a minor accident with his electric truck. He thought that repairs would be "a couple-thousand-dollar bill from the repair shop and to be without his truck for a couple of weeks." Instead, the first-time EV owner was shocked to get a $22,000 bill for repairs that took 2 1/2 months.
The Biden administration has a goal to have 50% of all new cars on the road in 2030 be electric vehicles.

Hollywood celebrities have a horrible reputation for speaking without thinking. Actors and actresses who are encased in self-righteous bubbles and locked safely behind gates in secure communities drop opinions about things they have no knowledge of. It isn’t that they have opinions that’s annoying. It’s the smugness that they deliver them with and the anticipation they have that they will be lauded as brilliant. Susan Sarandon is a typical example of this. She threw out a comment regarding the Israel/Hamas conflict that she was sure would be met with liberal approval. However, what transpired was something Hollywood types are not used to. Sarandon is no stranger to controversy.

The news comes the day after Gov. Gavin Newsom defended Democrats' economic record in a nationally televised debate. State Republicans blame Newsom and California Democrats for nearly doubling the state’s budget over the last six years and called for reductions in government programs to protect critical government functions from severe budget cuts.
