Illegal alien criminals, child traffickers, and potential terrorists violating our laws to cross the southern U.S. border get all kinds of moolah and freebies. But if you’re an American soldier who put everything on the line to defend your country, Uncle Sam would apparently like a thousand bucks for that gear you were told you COULDN’T bring out of Afghanistan. It has seemed fairly obvious, especially since the disastrous withdrawal that left thousands of Americans and allies stranded in the hellhole of Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, that the Biden administration hates our military. Congressmen were exempted from the federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates,

Happy Tuesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) We talk a lot about the acute political divide in this country these days, but let's face it: it isn't just politics that divides us now. I've spent most of my adult life in the entertainment industry, surrounded by liberals. There was a lot of common ground to be found for most of those years.
Then Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election.
Since then, it's seemed as if there's a Planet Right and a Planet Left, and they aren't even in the same universe. That's not always the case —

Billionaire Elon Musk warned conservative media assassin Media Matters for America (MMFA) he'd sue the "news" outlet for not just lying about his Twitter/X platform, but for the mendacious way the George Soros-bankrolled website manipulated data to depict it as a racist outlet that is a "risky and unsafe platform for advertisers." On Friday, Musk issued the threat to go "thermonuclear" on the outlet and "their board, their donors, their network of dark money, all of them," and by Monday afternoon had detonated a 15-page lawsuit filed in Texas federal court (read it below). Musk's lawsuit claims that MMFA, "undeterred by truth," went beyond its "twenty articles and counting"

It can be said there are degrees of hackery when it comes to the journalism industry. The standard Level 1 example is basic bias and partisanship in the reporting. Level 2 can be said to have a more activist role, avoiding particular details or working hard to slant undeniable evidence. This type is seen frequently at Politifact, to give an example. The lowest has been Level 3, where a journalist delivers information they know to be incorrect but forges ahead with their agenda as that is far more important than the actual facts. (This has been on display in rising numbers during the Israeli-Hamas conflict.)

A former editor for the left-leaning website The Recount has reportedly been charged with multiple counts of child pornography.
According to Massachusetts authorities, 44-year-old Slade Sohmer has pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of dissemination of child pornography.
Sohmer was arrested at his residence in Otis, Mass., on Friday, several weeks after law enforcement obtained a search warrant and confiscated his personal electronic devices.
An investigation into Sohmer was started after authorities received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Authorities later traced the content in the lead to the IP address of Sohmer’s home internet.

In a now-infamous recent podcast recording on the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, former President Barack Obama lectured: “You have to admit that nobody’s hands are clean, that all of us are complicit to some degree.”
Ironically for such a narcissist, Obama is painfully lacking in self-awareness. It is Obama himself who doggedly pursued a grand strategic “realignment” in the Middle East, away from Israel and America’s traditional Sunni Arab allies and toward the terrorist Iranian and the Muslim Brotherhood (for which Hamas is the Palestinian-Arab offshoot). The Biden administration, reliably acting as a third Obama term, has stayed the course — evinced by a brand-new alleged U.S. sanctions

Throughout the real-life science fiction movie called COVID, we have been told to “follow the science.”
The face of COVID, Dr. Anthony Fauci, condescendingly proclaimed, “I am the science.” It comes to light now that most of his assertions turned out to be incorrect.
Gender and sex are the latest battlefront in the realm of “science,” and this, too, is turning out to defy actual science and common sense. But as both COVID and gender are now political and advocacy issues rather than the science once taught in biology class, we are no longer following science and instead engaging in magical thinking.
What’s the difference between sex and gender?

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) Well, they're back in the news, and they're as irritating as ever.
The House Soviet Select Committee on Daddy Issues, also known as the J6 Committee, has come under some long-overdue scrutiny, courtesy of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. Johnson decided to wrap up last week by throwing a little spice into the normally moribund Friday news cycle, which Matt wrote about:
Moments ago, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) publicly released footage from the events of Jan. 6, 2021.
"To restore America’s trust and faith in their Government we must have transparency,” Johnson said in a post on Twitter.

The 72nd Miss Universe Competition was held tonight in El Salvador.
This year the pageant will include ‘women’ from 85 countries including two trans competitors from Portugal and The Netherlands.
Miss Nepal Jane Diika Garrett is also competing tonight. Jane is the first plus-size model in the Miss Universe pageant.
Moments ago the final 20 contestants were picked by the judges.
And guess who made the cut? Miss Nepal, the heavy woman, and Miss Portugal Marina Machete , the trans. Miss Nepal.

The left-wing media watchdog group Media Matters for America (MMFA) has a sordid record of not only publishing absurd "fact-checks” but of bullying businesses that dare to advertise on conservative outlets, or even platforms they don’t approve it. And Elon Musk has had enough of it.
At 2 a.m. ET on Saturday, Musk threatened to file a 'thermonuclear lawsuit' against Media Matters. "The split second court opens on Monday, X Corp will be filing a thermonuclear lawsuit against Media Matters and ALL those who colluded in this fraudulent attack on our company,” Musk wrote in a post on X/Twitter. "This week Media Matters for America posted a story that

A new controversy has broken out in Europe over the use of the so-called "pain grip" by German police. More specifically, it's a restraint technique being used to remove climate change protesters who are blocking roads and otherwise causing chaos in public. A recent viral video showed police using the move on a man who was sitting in front of a bus, ignoring orders to get up. As he's carried onto the sidewalk, you can see his right hand being forced down to put pressure on his wrist. The man can be heard screaming as if he's feeling the worst pain ever visited on any human in history.

With the release of some 40,000 hours of surveillance footage from January 6th came hysterical responses from the usual suspects. Adam Kinzinger and Jamie Raskin were quick to weigh in, decrying the move toward transparency. Then there was Liz Cheney. Cheney spent the waning years of her political career obsessing over January 6th until voters finally sent her home for good. In the aftermath of her Wyoming primary defeat, grand predictions that Cheney would become more powerful than ever graced airwaves and front pages. In the end, though, she quickly fell into obscurity having lost the one thing that made her relevant.
