An online petition is calling for a boycott of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade due to its planned inclusion of LGBTQ+ performers. The petition was started by One Million Moms, a division of the "pro-traditional values" organization American Family Association (AFA). [snip] "The non-binary and transgender extravaganza on display this Thanksgiving will be brought to you by Macy's during their annually sponsored Thanksgiving Day Parade," the petition from One Million Moms reads. "Unless they are forewarned about it, this year's holiday parade will potentially expose tens of millions of viewers at home to the liberal LGBTQ agenda."

Macy's must have hired the marketing genius from Bud Light.

I'm not a parade person but I would have it on as background noise while I was busy getting my Thanksgiving meal together. Always hated the set up for the Broadway performances, the lip synching and the honey oozing praise. Basically ignored it. But this year I will make sure it is not on. I'm tired of this push to make any and all lifestyles equal. Sorry, but men are not women, will never be women, cannot be women. Makeup and a boob job is not what being a female is all about. Shop a bit on Macy's website but no more. Tired of the nonsense.

Why corpoations continue to commit corporate suicide is beyond me. If they had any sense they would immediately cancel and LGBQT+ inclusion in the Macy's Day Parade and in any other aspect of their busness. Cannot they learn from the Bud Light fiasco?

A “Bud Light REDUX” is appropriate and will be well deserved. Fools seldom learn that SOME things need to be left alone.

I usually watch it. Haven't decided about this year. Its always kind of funny to see the flamers prancing around in the Broadway portions. They've been there as long as I can remember.
Maybe their fairy float will get booed.

Maybe Catholic Bishops could send Bishop Strickland to lead the counter protest as with the Dodgers when they invited the Sisters of Perpetual Indugence Tranvestites.

The parade slowly became unwatchable about 10 years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if the commie NBC pressured Macy's to do this.

With all of the woke failures experienced by corporations lately, you'd think Macy's would've taken the hint, but no... I'm sure it's some woke chippy putting this together and consequences be damned.

This is THE reason good people are disgusted with the LGBTEIEIO crowd. Most don’t care what these delusionals do in private, just quit making everything about yourselves and expecting the masses to adore you. You’re making a nuisance of yourselves.

I've watched the parade for over 50 years, not anymore. Turned off NCIS Australia tonight for the same reason. They keep shoving this crap and I keep turning it off. Lots of other shows to watch.

Not that I give a rodent's pet donkey about Macy's, NYC, or the T'giving Day Parade in some make-believe center of the universe, but, if one of "our" great local marching bands was invited to march, raised money, bought new uniforms, paid for planes, trains or automobiles to transport to the event only to have this historic even canceled by some crazy mayor or wicked governor, NYC would deserve what happens to an iconic department store. "Would Macy's tell Gimbles?"

Boycott the parade if they're going to have a freak show. Boycott the store while you're at it.

No thanks. What has been a tradition since my childhood is gone. We will not watch it. The LGBTQ+ fascists are, once again, bullying their way into what is a family and kid friendly event. What does sexual orientation have to do with a Christmas Parade? Just stop this madness. The world does not revolve around the sexual confusion of this group. In fact, polite society frowns upon such displays in front of children. I saw an interview with a drag queen who was explaining their history and he said that drag queen shows were specifically created for adult entertainment because they were meant to be risqué and raunchy. They were never meant to be family entertainment.
Macy’s has made a grave error. Many people will no longer shop there and they will close their credit cards in protest. I am sick to death of caricaturish way that they demean women and strut and twerk in front of kids. Family entertainment is no place to celebrate their lifestyle. Why do they even want to behave like this in front of children? Something is very off with this group and corporate America is wrong to promote it.

Our Macy's left years ago and we have Belk. It's a nice store. I liked Macy's and their Christmas parade but I am so tired of trans and non-binary.

Who the "heck" is sitting on the boards of these once-respected, formerly American companies? Inclusion my butt! What about the 90+ percent of Americans who just want to celebrate AMERICA'S HOLIDAY with their families?

#23 I've read somewhere that these companies have to knuckle down to this "inclusion stuff" or lose their financial ratings...which would crash their ability to operate their businesses. I.E., any outstanding loans might be immediately called for repayment, etc., surprise tax inspections, etc.
The companies are caught in the same trap society is. Better put on the Happy Face....or else!
We've lost our country to "The Big Guy."

Macy's now joins Target and Disney on my no-go list. Enjoy the view on the way down. Anybody who exposes children deliberately to this mentally-ill freak show doesn't deserve to survive.

I quit watching it years ago. They spent too much time spent on "Celebrities" lip-syncing songs I'd never heard before (and wouldn't bother with again). It was a huge waste of time.

I haven't watched the MTDP since the presidential Gungan Jar Jar O'Binks and his Wookie Chewie stunk up my White House. I do remember as a child watching it with my siblings and cousins while my mom cooked the feast with the help of my aunts. While my dad and uncles were either outside or in another part of the house talking "man stuff." The joys of growing up in the 80s. Now everything has changed and not for the better. Macy's like other mall anchor stores has left and been replaced by shops like Belk or malls have been shut down all together. I haven't shopped there in years and this latest foray into the stupid by them just give me another reason not to.

I make it a point to never watch the parade. If Macy's just paraded balloons and the HS and college bands the whole affair would only last 20 mins. TV coverage demands stupid Broadway musical numbers that seem to stop the parade every 10 minutes, conveniently stretching the venue long enough for broadcasting and televised ads. I've got better things to do on Thanksgiving than watching self-serving announcers and vapid singing.

And another one. This time next year, will Macey's still exist, or will it join the ranks of dead retail as a resuilt of this horrible business decision? Will former Macey's employees be sitting on the unemployment line drinking Bud Light?
