New York has lost 10 billionaires in the last four years — three of whom fled to Florida — leaving tax coffers lighter by tens of millions of dollars annually. This year 62 New York-based billionaires appeared on the Forbes 400 list of the wealthiest Americans, compared to 72 in 2019 and 65 last year.
Investor and Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris, whose net worth was valued at $5.7 billion last year, has grown his fortune to $6.9 billion — but he packed his bags for Florida.
Other billionaires who have relocated from Gotham to the Sunshine State in the last four years include hedge funder Daniel Och

WenTo t to NYC once in my life and I hated it. Too big, too noisy, too dirty, too crowded. Enjoyed the sight seeing of the more interesting places but as a whole no thank you. Wouldn't go back even if someone else paid for it. Why anyone stays there is beyond me. I can certainly see why the rich want to leave just for the taxes and crime alone. To each his own. Feel the same about CA. Despite what these two places believe the rest of the country does not want to move there.

It's pretty obvious that NY is trying crush people with money, so they MOVE.
A multimillionaire nephew of my wife moved from NYC to rural NJ about 15 years ago to escape the insane leftism of NYC, and finally during the COVID insanity, moved to SC to be free. He is there now, big middle finger to the NE hellholes that he left.

A billion now sure doesn't buy what it did in 2019, inflation has taken 25% away. It is bound to be that a lot more than 10, its logical to think many became billionaires in those 4 years since 2019 so they too must have left.

Open letter to NY refugees to FL: You are welcome here in FL, but if you want FL to stay free and not turn into what you left, do NOT vote for Democrats: They are anxious to tax your arse from here to eternity and they will do exactly that if you continue to vote for them. Democrats never met a tax they didn’t love. By contrast, Republicans want to cut your taxes. So choose wisely, refugees or you will find yourself back where you started, looking for another Red State to move to.

Many will end up in the DPR of Palm Beach, or the Saint Pete/Tamps area

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. Used to love visiting the City By the Bay. All of the small and large neighborhoods. Around every other corner an interesting shop or restaurant. Some of the small 'dive' restaurants and diners had amazing food, from every corner of the world.
Now, we no longer visit. Elon Musk describes it well during an interview about his purchase of Twitter. Twitter had a downtown San Francisco headquarters, and right outside the building it appears, as Musk describes it, the Zombie Apocalypse. The mentality that would allow more cities to decay and devolve this way, Twitter was assisting with spreading that decay mentality, and Musk is appalled.

Unexpected outcome of course. Wait until New York attempts to pay its bills next year.

I am surprised that they are not being sued by NY for taking their money with them.
These billionaires knew that if they stayed in NY much longer, they would become millionaires.

Way back when...Rush told Mayor Bloomberg that he was leaving NY and that he would "first to lead the way". It took the Millionaires and Billionaires a bit more time to follow Rush out, but it has started and we in Florida welcome them!

But are they taking their liberal, for the most part, feelings with them?

Read William Forstchen's book, "One Second After", for a preview of what NYC will someday look like.

New York will still tax them as if they still lived there. Rush Limbaugh was a prime example of that, even ten years after moving to Palm Beach, the Democrat "machine" that runs NYC still sent him tax bills and threatened him with legal action if he did not comply. Pure evil. We fought a war against a mad king who did far less to our forbearers.

And the rats are not happy with the installed mayor...who is asking for money from the government to run his city...hence the confiscating of his phone and laptop...if the rats want to get rid of someone...they grab his/her electronics and search for a crime....I'm sure they will find something to take him down....
