As many cities have begun to turn away from being “welcoming” or “sanctuary” cities, the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma, seems to be heading in the opposite direction.
Activists for migrants were celebrating this week by designating Tulsa as its newest “Welcoming City.” The designation comes after Mayor G.T. Bynum and members of the city council enacted several measures since September to make the city a more desirable destination for illegal migrants.
The group Welcoming America has helped cities across America create, promote, and guide efforts to create conditions better for migrants in American cities.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Security Agency (ISA, or Shin Bet / Shabak) announced Saturday that Ahmed Siam, a Hamas terrorist who held 1000 Palestinians hostage at a local hospital, had been killed by the IDF in an airstrike in Gaza.
In a statement, the IDF said:
Based on precise IDF and ISA intelligence, and with the direction of IDF ground troops, IDF aircraft struck Ahmed Siam, a company commander of the Naser Radwan Company of the Hamas terrorist organization. Two days ago, the IDF spokesperson exposed that Siam held hostage approximately 1000 Gazan residents at the Rantisi Hospital and prevented them from evacuating southwards for their safety.

DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pushed back Saturday against growing international calls for a cease-fire, saying Israel’s battle to crush Gaza’s ruling Hamas militants will continue with “full force.”
A cease-fire would be possible only if all 239 hostages held by militants in Gaza are released, Netanyahu said(snip)
also insisted that after the war, now entering its sixth week, Gaza would be demilitarized and Israel would retain security control there. Asked what he meant by security control, Netanyahu said Israeli forces must be able to enter Gaza freely to hunt down militants.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) sent a letter to the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct expressing "serious concerns" about the judge overseeing a civil fraud trial against former President Donald Trump and the Trump Organization.
"This judge’s bizarre behavior has no place in our judicial system," she wrote, describing "inappropriate bias" and "judicial intemperance" in her Nov. 10 letter.
New York Attorney General Letitia James is suing President Trump for defrauding the state by artificially inflating his net worth in a trial that began on Oct. 2. A week before the trial, New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron had granted the attorney general's

Will Republicans ever rebel against the execrable primary debates foisted on us every four years? (snip)Here are a few of the questions that need to be answered:
1. Ambassador Haley, you mention your husband’s military service often, and by “often,” I mean “on a 5-second loop.” In nearly every public appearance, you say some variation of this: (snip)“Our family, like every military family, is ready to make personal sacrifices when our loved one answers the call. We could not be prouder of Michael and his military brothers and sisters. Their commitment to protecting our freedom is a reminder of how blessed we are to live in America.”

Both Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech SARS-CoV-2 vaccines are contaminated with plasmid DNA fragments which have not been removed during the current manufacturing processes. This proven fact has been acknowledged by the US FDA, Health Canada, and the European Medicines Agency. In yet another clear breach of informed consent and labeling requirements, this was not previously disclosed to physicians, public health officials, or patients. Furthermore, the presence of highly active promoter/enhancer DNA sequences (and fragments) derived from the SV40 virus, present in the Pfizer/BioNTech product, was not disclosed and discussed with either the public or to the regulatory agencies. This has also been clearly established. Prior FDA guidance concerning

On the day that the DOJ announced arrests related to a brothel that focused on political clients, these 70 Republicans voted to give the FBI brand new headquarters.
Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz moved to defund plans for the new office building with an amendment to the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act for 2024. House Democrats were unanimous in opposing the Gaetz proposal and were joined by 70 Republicans. Gaetz’s proposal failed 273 to 145 in a Wednesday vote, the same day the Justice Department unveiled three arrests over a “sophisticated high-end brothel” ring operating in Virginia and Massachusetts.

I was not going to bother reviewing Tuesday’s off-year election results. I had a good post scheduled — “Why they hate Snow White: The Christian moral to the story is the problem for the left” — but I postponed it until tomorrow (Friday) because there is a lot of panic by people who should know better.
Matt Drudge did his best to discourage people who want to Make America Great Again. The Twitter Files explained his 180 on Trump in March 2017 or so.

When Illinois lawmakers brag about having a “welcoming state,” they might want to talk to parents like Susie Redfern. In 2019, the Chicago Tribune profiled her and her son Nick as symptomatic of a dysfunctional system failing to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.
But rather than fixing that crisis, the Illinois Legislature created a new one, establishing health care programs for illegal immigrants that have exploded in costs, even as some of the state’s most vulnerable citizens lack access to needed care. It’s a particularly cruel example of the misplaced priorities of the radical left.

The chair of the House Oversight Committee issued a slew of subpoenas on Wednesday, including to Hunter Biden and James Biden. Additional subpoenas, as well as requests for transcribed interviews, were served on other Biden family members and business associates. These investigative steps are solid, but the House committees charged with the Joe Biden impeachment inquiry need to issue subpoenas for the witnesses and documents Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, not-so-subtly suggested late last month.
“I’ve obtained the names of 25 DOJ and FBI personnel to interview at a future date,” Grassley wrote in a late-October letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray

Real estate tycoon Robert Bigelow, the biggest donor to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' 2024 presidential campaign, said he's now backing former President Donald Trump, in part because the security threat posed by the unrest in the Middle East requires the "strongest commander" and that the former president is the obvious choice.
Calling President Trump a "bull" and Mr. DeSantis "dinner," Mr. Bigelow told The Financial Times in an interview Wednesday that he believes the former president's campaign has built up significant steam, making him hard to beat.
"I think Trump is too strong," Mr. Bigelow told the outlet. "I think Trump has the momentum, the inertia, to beat him."
