Trump Testifies [Updated Again]

Original Article

Donald Trump is testifying today in the fraud case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The presiding judge has already held Trump liable. Trump’s testimony is going about as you would expect: Donald Trump’s courtroom decorum has began to break down as the former president began yelling and attacking the judge and the attorney general from the witness stand. Trump had been testifying for the past roughly two hours in hushed tones until he became visibly agitated, speaking loudly saying that the Justice Arthur Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James were “trying to hurt” him.

Trump gave the judge and the courtroom what they deserved. I think I heard the judge say "his courtroom". Really, I thought courtrooms belonged to the people. What a pompous idiot!

Love him or hate him, Trump has the courage of his convictions. I hope the appeals slap this judge down hard.

A dimocrat DA James elected on a campaign to "get Trump" and a dimocrat judge Engoron. The verdict of this partisan political witch hunt against Trump was pre-determined---GUILTY. This trial is nothing but pure election interference!!!

The judge has already decided the case. Horrible Trump is guilty and must be punished. This is a complete travesty of Justice. Where is the Republican Party? No comments. Nothing. It’s like they want him to go to prison.

Washington — The House voted to censure Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian American in Congress, after her defense of a rallying cry that is widely regarded as calling for the elimination of Israel. The censure resolution introduced by Georgia Rep. Rich McCormick condemns the Michigan Democrat for "promoting false narratives" around the Oct. 7 terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel and "calling for the destruction of the state of Israel." The House passed the measure late Tuesday by a vote of 234 to 188, with 22 Democrats joining all but 4 Republicans voting in favor of her censure. Four members voted present.

Ohio voters approved a ballot measure Tuesday night that will effectively outlaw any restrictions on abortion and other procedures that involve reproduction, including gender-transition surgeries. The measure, known as Issue 1, will also remove parental-consent and notification requirements for minors who undergo the procedures. The amendment includes vague language about prohibiting any law that “directly or indirectly” would “burden” or “interfere” with “reproductive decisions.” Opponents of the measure argue it would also outlaw nearly any restrictions on abortion or other reproduction-related procedures,

CBS News projects that Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has been reelected to a second term, defeating the state's Republican Attorney General Daniel Cameron. Beshear has been a popular governor, with broad approval of his handling of the pandemic and natural disasters in the state. Cameron tried to tie Beshear to President Biden, who is unpopular in the state. Trump won Kentucky by 26 points in 2020, so Beshear had to make inroads with Trump voters and ensure voters in Democratic districts, including the cities of Louisville and Lexington and the Cincinnati suburbs in northern Kentucky.

The FBI has been alerted about a series of threatening antisemitic emails sent to University of Pennsylvania staff. The agency is working with university police, according to UPenn President Liz Magill. Magill sent a letter to the UPenn community explaining that she learned that some university staff received “vile, disturbing antisemitic emails threatening violence against members of our Jewish community, specifically naming Penn Hillel and Lauder College House.” The messages targeted the personal identities of the recipients. Fortunately, no credible threats were found. Police conducted safety sweeps of Penn Hillel, an on-campus Jewish organization, and Lauder College House, an on-campus dorm named for the family of

A Jewish student was assaulted in an antisemitic attack at the campus of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst (my parents taught there in the 1980s and 90s, and it is in contention for the ugliest campus in America). He was attending a vigil for the Israeli hostages held by Hamas when an aggressive student began harassing attendees. After the vigil was over the aggressor punched the other student, spit on the Israeli flag, and was subsequently arrested. The arrestee is out on bail and is barred from entering the campus. At least that much has happened. The UMass administration condemned the assailant’s conduct as “reprehensible, illegal, and unacceptable”

The vote on a motion to table, or kill, the resolution was 213 opposed to 208 in favor. Six Republicans joined all but one Democrat in voting to block the measure introduced by Georgia Rep. Shortly after thousands of Hamas terrorists flooded across the Israeli-Gaza border on October 7, massacring, raping, and torturing civilians, UNRWA staffers and affiliated teachers took to social media to celebrate the atrocities as a justified response to Israeli aggression, UN Watch revealed in a report released Monday entitled, “UNRWA: Hate Starts Here.”

On Monday, Israel shot down a ballistic missile in flight outside of the Earth's atmosphere. This marks a historical first time that an anti-ballistic missile has successfully intercepted a target in space during combat. The missile was fired by Houthi rebels in Yemen and was targeting Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) used their Arrow anti-ballistic missile defense system, which is a joint American-Israeli project first deployed in Israel over 20 years ago. While the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has released few details about the interception, the Air Force is known to operate several batteries of the Arrow 2 system, which uses a hypersonic interceptor to take out

Newborn syphilis cases, which can be fatal, have risen more than 10-fold in the last decade and nearly 32% in a single year, according to a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released Tuesday. The CDC said that cases have reached “dire levels” in the U.S. More than 3,700 cases were reported to the agency in 2022, up from 2,855 in 2021 and 335 cases in 2012. Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by bacteria that can linger in the body for many years. Special counsel Jack Smith's team filed a lengthy response Monday to former President Donald Trump's motions to dismiss his federal election interference case on statutory and constitutional grounds, saying the former president "stands alone in American history for his alleged crimes." Trump's lawyers have filed multiple motions to dismiss the Jan. 6 case, including mounting arguments that the charges brought against him were unconstitutionally applied and ran afoul of the charging statutes. Trump in August pleaded not guilty to charges of undertaking a "criminal scheme" to overturn the results of the 2020 election by enlisting a slate of so-called "fake electors," using the Justice Department to conduct "sham election crime investigations,"

Israel will have “security responsibility” over the Gaza Strip for some time after its war against Hamas ends, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview aired Monday night. How Israel intends to handle Gaza’s postwar future remains an open and burning question as Israeli forces push deeper into the enclave amid a campaign to eliminate the Hamas terror group, which has ruled the Strip for over 15 years. “I think Israel will for an indefinite period have security responsibility,” Netanyahu told ABC News. “We’ve seen what happens when we don’t have that… security responsibility, what we have is the eruption of Hamas terror on a scale that we couldn’t imagine.”

In other words, they are now trying to force their gun control desires into foreign policy issues. The American Medical Association (AMA) will debate whether to reverse its stance on assisted suicide this month at its next interim meeting. A set of resolutions, proposed by AMA’s Resident and Fellow section, suggest the AMA should abandon its opposition to assisted suicide, adopting instead a neutral stance on the practice. The resolutions also propose changing the official language from “assisted suicide” to “medical aid in dying” (MAID) at the meeting,[Snip] These proposals, if adopted, fundamentally change the AMA’s position on assisted suicide. The AMA determined in its last policy deliberations that assisted suicide is “fundamentally incompatible with the physician’s role as healer.”
