Kentucky's incumbent Democratic Gov. Andy
Beshear reelected, CBS News projects

Original Article

CBS News projects that Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has been reelected to a second term, defeating the state's Republican Attorney General Daniel Cameron. Beshear has been a popular governor, with broad approval of his handling of the pandemic and natural disasters in the state. Cameron tried to tie Beshear to President Biden, who is unpopular in the state. Trump won Kentucky by 26 points in 2020, so Beshear had to make inroads with Trump voters and ensure voters in Democratic districts, including the cities of Louisville and Lexington and the Cincinnati suburbs in northern Kentucky.

Don't read a whole lot into this race. The democrat governor was/is popular and was always ahead in the polls.

Okay. We didn't have the "red wave" in 2022. A Republican should usually win the Kentucky governors race. Now the state is run by a phony-"centrist"-lib for four more years. An "abortion anytime" amendment passes in Ohio by a big margin. Networks are hinting that Miss. governor race could be a runoff (probably not) and the early thinking is that the Va. senate stays RAT infested. Anyone who believes this "Trump will win in a landslide" stuff is smoking cigarettes that don't come in packs of 20 (now also legal in Ohio). Couple of things. Our Democrat friends know how to get out the vote, legally or otherwise. We don't. Or we don't know how to frame the issues. Either way, we'd better get to work.

The sad reality is that too many voters don't take the time to understand the issues. They see a 30 second commercial on TV and believe every word of it, or they vote for the party, regardless of the issues. I hope everyone likes misery, it is here and there is more to come.

I hope this is not a sign of things to come. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone could vote for a democrat after living under Biden’s corrupt regime. Who wants more of this insanity? Put down the moonshine Kentuckians and make better choices!

The legislature and the rest of the cabinet are Republicans and they will clip Andy's more radical proposals. I will never forget nor forgive his lockdown of churches and his sending the state police to record license numbers of people who dared to go to church. He'd be another Gavin Newsom if not checked.

We reported previously about how a State Department official resigned over U.S. support for Israel in the Israel-Hamas war, and that more might be looking for an exit. There was also an internal memo written by two State Department staffers demanding that the U.S. support a ceasefire, as well as other similar thoughts submitted to the department's Dissent Channel. But now some Congressional staffers have just made a video on the Capitol steps to express their displeasure that the U.S. hasn't called for a ceasefire in the war. We are Congressional staffers are Capitol Hill and we are no longer comfortable being silent.

If Democrats re-nominate Joe Biden, the 2024 election could resemble the 1980 contest between Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. Why? Because a large majority of Americans are worse off today than they were before Joe Biden took office. This CBS News poll illustrates the point. There is a lot of interesting information at the link, but let’s focus on what I think are the most important points. First, how are things going in America today? Generally speaking, do you feel things in America today are going… Very well: 5% Somewhat well: 22% Somewhat badly: 36% Very badly: 37% These are absolutely brutal numbers for an incumbent president.

The latest New York Times poll showing former President Donald Trump leading Joe Biden in five of the six swing states sent Democrats into paroxysms. But there are troublesome facts about both candidates buried in the crosstabs of that poll that Peter Schweizer drills down on in his most recent podcast episode, and they don’t even touch on the abortion issue that seemed to dominate this week’s elections in Virginia, Ohio, and elsewhere. The Times poll found Trump leading in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, and Nevada by between five and ten points over President Joe Biden, while closely trailing Biden in Wisconsin. All six states were key

Honest Reporting broke a bombshell today: Gaza-based photographers who work for the Associated Press and Reuters were on the scene of the October 7 massacre in Israel very early in the morning, ready to capture the moment when Hamas fighters raped, kidnapped, tortured, and slaughtered almost 1,500 Israeli civilians. Maybe they heard about what happened and decided it was newsworthy, so they hustled on over. Or maybe Reuters and the AP are paying money to people who knew that civilians were about to be massacred and either thought, “Yay” or “What a great opportunity to collect a paycheck.” Here's what Honest Reporting had to say: On October 7, Hamas terrorists

Palestinians and their allies have justified and even celebrated Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre in Israel as a blow against Jewish oppression. But the 2 million Arab citizens of Israel have overwhelmingly responded by drawing closer to the Jewish state. Among Arab Israelis, prominent media personalities have helped lead an unprecedented surge in support for their country and opposition to their self-proclaimed liberator Hamas. Pro-Israel arguments that were previously almost unspeakable in the Arab mainstream have in recent weeks gotten a respectful hearing. Yoseph Haddad, a 38-year-old Christian Arab influencer, has skyrocketed to fame in Israel with his outspoken advocacy for the country in Hebrew, Arabic, and English. Haddad told

NEW YORK -- In a big upset, Republican Kristy Marmorato defeated incumbent Democrat Marjorie Velazquez for the New York City Council District 13 seat in the Bronx. Marmorato's win is a rare victory for a Republican in the borough, which has more registered Democrats. CBS New York spoke to Marmorato late Wednesday afternoon, and she talked about support from voters. "They actually believed that their vote counted and that their voice mattered in this race, and that is, emotionally, probably one of the most fulfilling things, that they believed in me as a person," she said.

The Minnesota Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected an attempt to block Donald Trump from the state’s GOP primary ballot next year based on the 14th Amendment’s “insurrection clause” but said the challengers can try again to block from the general election ballot if the former president wins the Republican nomination. The 14th Amendment, ratified after the Civil War, says US officials who take an oath to uphold the Constitution are banned from future office if they “engaged in insurrection.” But the Constitution doesn’t say how to enforce the ban, and it has only been applied twice since 1919, which is why many experts view these challenges as a long shot.

Biberaj is probably most well known for her despicable actions following two rapes committed by a "transgender" boy at county high schools; while the school board was failing to alert parents to the danger in their schools after the first rape, Biberaj was failing to file charges against the boy. When terrorists tell you who they are, believe them. Hamas’ terror-symps and useful idiots have spent four weeks marching through college campuses and city centers demanding a cease-fire. Meanwhile, Hamas tells the New York Times they want “permanent” war for their political purposes, and designed the October 7 massacres to get one. They envision a state of total war with Israel that will force other Arab nations to join them to destroy Israel and slaughter its Jews, and the weeks since have only brought them closer to that goal. Or at least, they think so: But in the bloody arithmetic of Hamas’s leaders, the carnage is not the regrettable outcome

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves (R) was projected to win reelection over Democrat Brandon Presley to secure a second term, according to Decision Desk HQ. Reeves was expected to have the edge in Tuesday’s election, although Presley put up what many observers considered a surprisingly competitive fight to try and flip the governor’s seat in the ruby-red state. Reeves won with the backing of former President Trump in a conservative stronghold state that hasn’t elected a Democratic governor in 20 years. In 2019, Reeves won by 5 points against Democrat Jim Hood, then the state’s attorney general, to fill the seat left empty by his term-limited Republican predecessor.

President Joe Biden fundraised off the Democrat Party’s nearly flawless election day on Tuesday, using the victories in Ohio, Kentucky, and likely in Virginia to draw a contrast between “democracy” and “MAGA.” The Republican potential losses in all three states highlight the GOP’s seeming inability to persuade voters of their arguments against late-term abortions. In Ohio, the state passed an initiative to block bans on abortion by adding protections to the state constitution. In Virginia, Democrats appeared to retain power in the Senate. In Kentucky, incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear (D) trounced gubernatorial candidate Daniel Cameron (R). “Across the country tonight, democracy won and MAGA lost,” Joe Biden’s X account posted.
