Republican Iowa governor Kim Reynolds will endorse Florida governor Ron DeSantis for president, securing him some leverage in the state where he is currently behind former president Trump in polling and where the first caucus for the GOP 2024 nomination will be held.
The planned endorsement will happen on Monday at a rally in Des Moines, sources close to both governors told NBC News. The DeSantis campaign has invested more resources and energy in the Hawkeye State. It solidified its first major ad buy there in October, setting aside $2 million worth of airtime starting in mid-November and running through the January 15 caucuses

London has become ground zero for some of the most disturbing pro-Hamas demonstrations in the world following the attacks on October 7th in Israel, and things just got a lot more chilling.
As RedState reported, tens of thousands have marched through the streets, some shouting antisemitic slogans and declaring support for "intifada." The mobs have also taken over various British monuments, desecrating and damaging them.
In light of that, counter-protestors showed up on Saturday to ask people to respect British heritage. Instead of being allowed to march down the street as the pro-Hamas protesters have done, though, they were forced to stay behind barricades.

Last week I took a look at the Wall Street Journal’s principal story on the October 18 hospital shot heard ’round the world: “Blast at Gaza Hospital Kills More Than 500, Palestinian Officials Say.” The original headline on the Journal’s online version of the story asserted: “Israeli Airstrike on Gaza Hospital Kills More Than 500, Palestinian Officials Say.”
Israel’s responsibility for the “shot” constituted the implicit premise of the story, even as cleaned up. Clayton Fox included the Journal’s performance in the dishonor roll of his Tablet column “Anatomy of a blood libel.” Fox quotes from the investigation conducted by independent journalist Davis Zweig

There is nothing wrong with hoping for a two-state solution in the Israel-Palestinian conflict. In fact, for over 70 years the Israelis, the UN, and most people around the world have been arguing that a two-state solution is the only outcome that could achieve permanent peace.
There is one problem: the Palestinian leadership and most of the Palestinians, along with a large number of Muslim extremists, don’t want a two-state solution. Their goal is one state, one people, and the Middle East altogether cleansed of Jews. It’s pretty hard to find a compromise with people who want you dead and gone.
Many well-meaning people don’t really understand this fact.

Real Admiral Daniel Hagari of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told reporters in a briefing Sunday that Israel trying to protect civilians in the war but that the Palestinian terror group Hamas was trying to stop civilians from evacuating, and operating from hospitals.
Hagari said that Israel had “prioritized evacuation efforts over other missions.” He said that the Israel Air Force dropped over 1.5 million flyers warning Palestinians to evacuate the northern Gaza Strip, which is where Hamas’s strongholds are located, and to move south, beyond the Wadi Gaza wetlands, for their own safety. He added that Israel had made 20,000 personal telephone calls to civilian

Barack Obama is not a learned man, but it’s a mistake to confuse that with stupidity. He is, in fact, an extremely clever man. Combine that cleverness with the fact that he truly dislikes Israel and has aligned himself with those countries and groups that wish to destroy the country, complete with the genocide of all of its inhabitants, and you end up with someone who covertly signals to Israel’s enemies his ideological allegiance with them, even while seemingly treading a morally meaningless line right down the middle.
Those of us who have paid close attention to Obama over the years know that he dislikes Jews and Israel. Here

Former President Donald Trump holds sizable leads over President Biden in five of the six most important battleground states, according to a New York Times-Siena College poll released Sunday.
Trump leads Biden by a whopping 10 points in Nevada, six points in Georgia, five points in both Arizona and Michigan, and four points in Pennsylvania. Biden's sole lead is in Wisconsin, where he beats Trump by two points.
Biden had defeated Trump in all six states during the 2020 election. Combining the polling in all six states gives Trump a 48-44 lead over Biden. The NYT-Siena College poll surveyed 3,662 registered voters in the six states from Oct. 22 to Nov. 3.

Is it possible that we will actually see a Biden-Trump rematch in 2024? I have been confidently predicting for a long time that it won’t happen, but filing deadlines are starting to go by, and no one has entered the race against Joe Biden except Dean Phillips (I don’t count Marianne Williamson).
Democrats are nervous about Biden because 1) everyone has now noticed that he is senile, 2) Bidenflation has destroyed the budgets of most American families, 3) the Southern border is a disaster that even Democrats are now running away from, and 4) pretty much every other Biden

Gaza’s genocidal war against Israel has torn the Democratic Party apart by revealing the anti-Semitic core of its dominant left wing. Axios headlines: “Biden’s 2024 team roiled by Israel-Hamas war.”
Part of President Biden’s political team is in turmoil over the Israel-Hamas war, as some aides see the White House as abetting an immoral attack on Palestinians — while others believe Biden is showing “moral clarity” in protecting Israel from terrorists.
… The strife within the Democratic National Committee (DNC) — which Biden is leaning on for his re-election campaign — reflects larger generational and political divisions among Democrats.

Demonstrators called for “intifada” against Israel in the streets of Washington, DC, on Saturday, where tens of thousands gathered in Freedom Plaza for the District’s “largest pro-Palestinian protest in years,” according to reports.
“In a call and response, a woman can be heard saying into a microphone ‘Long live the intifada,’ to which the crowd responds, ‘Intifada, intifada, intifada,'” the Times of Israel reported.
Watch the video here: “Intifada” is the name for the violent riots that have occurred against Israel since the late 1980s, Breitbart News reported:
The term Intifada, which literally translates to “Stone Uprising,” refers to years of violent Palestinian riots against Israel starting

It's hard to imagine there's a more antisemitic person in the U.S. than Congress' own Rashida Tlaib. Every time she opens her mouth these days, she spews incendiary, hateful rhetoric against the Jewish state, even as Jews in her own country fear for their safety. The fact is, Tlaib doesn't care about them and probably would prefer they go away -- by any means necessary.
It's clear she doesn't care about those who are being held hostage in Gaza after being brutally ripped from their homes in Israel. She hasn't once expressed remorse about that or called for them to be returned to their families.

It’s quite an eye-opener. A vote was taken in the House on Thursday to sanction Hamas terrorists and their supporters. 45 Democrats said no to that resolution.
Name ’em and shame ’em. I call them the Hamas Caucus. The resolution is for new sanctions on Hamas’ international backers and a policy of opposing Iran’s nuclear program ‘by any means necessary.’ The Squad and its fellow travelers voted against that.
One Republican joined with Democrats to vote no.
The House of Representatives voted last night by wide bipartisan margins in favor of new sanctions on Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian terrorist groups, and a nonbinding resolution
