Cindy Flash — a 67-year-old Minnesota native — and her 66-year-old husband, Igal Flash, were among more than 1,300 people murdered by Saturday’s brutal Hamas terrorist attack on Israel.
Flash’s family described her as a “staunch advocate for the rights of Palestinians” and an outspoken opponent of Israeli military action.
Cindy Flash hailed from St. Paul, Minnesota, while Igal Flash was the son of Holocaust survivors and an Israeli citizen. She relocated to the Kfar Aza kibbutz in southern Israel many years ago after visiting as a college student. The Department of Justice (DOJ) put financial institutions on notice for rejecting illegal immigrants’ credit applications.
The DOJ issued the warning in a joint statement with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) on Thursday. (snip) The two agencies claimed that the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) protections for national origin and race extended to alienage, though they admitted that no such explicit provisions spelled out their interpretation. The agencies conceded that creditors could rely on immigration status to determine repayment ability, but then cautioned against “unnecessary or overbroad reliance” on immigration status.

An American family whose loved ones told them they were about to be murdered by Hamas during a heartbreaking phone call have been informed their relatives are alive in a beacon of hope to dozens of distraught families.
Jay Zeitchek, 70, who lives in New Jersey, told DailyMail.com that the last words his family heard from their relatives in Israel as savage terrorists descended on their home were: 'I don't we can survive, I love you.'
They were then seen being taken hostage by gunmen in a chilling video circulating on social media.

During the past week, I found that even most well informed Americans know very little about the causes of the war between Jews and Arabs in Israel. Here is a summary of 13 basic facts I think every American should know:
Until 1964, the word “Palestinian” rarely described Arabs who once lived in Israel. That was when KGB Agents of Communist Russia created and funded a terrorist group called the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). Its leader, Yasser Arafat, was born and raised in Egypt. The PLO was as artificial as other effective and deadly groups communists used during the Cold War

Less than a week after Israel was struck by a devastating mass invasion by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, American college students who initially voiced support for the terrorists have now been forced to recant their statements for fear of being canceled.
As Just The News reports, perhaps the biggest example thus far is the story of Ryna Workman, the president of NYU Law’s Student Bar Association. Workman, a black woman who identifies as “non-binary,” had applied for a job with the law firm Winston and Strawn; after she had initially been accepted, the firm then sent out a public statement revoking her job offer

A controversial San Francisco progressive lawmaker has quit X, claiming he no longer feels safe after Elon Musk targeted him - but locals claim he's really left over outrage about his stance on the Israel massacre.

Musk and other San Franciscans say Preston's progressive policies have contributed to the ruination of the city, now a byword for open drug-taking, ram-raids and violent crime. But many critics believe Preston is using the Musk excuse to deflect outrage over

As we watch the horrific images of Hamas's brutal attack on Israeli citizens, there is no mistaking the face of evil.
This is brutality on a scale most of us here in America have never witnessed - the rapes of women who are dragged through the streets to cheers. Babies murdered in their cribs — beheaded — fathers shot while trying to help their families escape—charred remains of still-smoking corpses in gardens, doorways, and cars. For the past three years, our government has lied to us about what happened on January 6th. The Vice President stood before us and compared a riot at the Capitol to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

You hear this all the time from the critics of Israel’s bombing of Gaza as if it is proof that Israel is a cruel bloodthirsty country.
My response: why not? It’s not like Hamas hasn’t been the recipient of billions of dollars in Western aid, no less the blood money they get from their allies in Iran and other outlaw regimes. There is one reason why Gaza citizens are in the line of fire, why they are being subject to bombings, why they will be in the streets during vicious street-to-street fighting shortly, and why their hospitals and schools are getting destroyed: Hamas wants it that way.

I recall my time as a New York City liberal when the left was pushing “political correctness.” White liberals were urged to abstain from criticizing minorities in any way, lest we be deemed “racist.” The left pushed “white guilt” like heroin and we all happily stuck the needle in our arms. The only question is how much of that will we be paying.
But sure. Why not pump another $294 million into the terror nests after all the billions we’ve already spent subsidizing them? What could possibly go wrong?
The United Nations issues an emergency appeal for $294 million to address “the most urgent needs” in Gaza and the West Bank.
The funds would be used to help more than 1.2 million people, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says, stressing that aid groups do not have “the resources required to adequately respond to the full range of needs of vulnerable Palestinians.”

Sometimes a flare goes up in the darkness and you can see where everyone is standing.
That has certainly been the case since the appalling massacres in Israel last Saturday.
The bodies of all the young festivalgoers, pensioners and beheaded babies hadn’t even been found before people began making excuses for their murder.
And even praised the mass slaughter.
On Sunday, just 24 hours after the atrocities, Hamas terrorists were still killing Jews in Israel.
And radical extremists were gathering in Times Square to celebrate their actions.
I went over to Times Square to see that “pro-Palestine” rally.
But it wasn’t “pro-Palestine.”
It was just pro-massacre.

House Republicans tapped Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) as their nominee for speaker a day after their initial candidate, Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), failed to consolidate enough party support to win the majority vote on the full House floor.
In a closed-door meeting on Friday, Republicans voted 124-81 to nominate Jordan, giving him the edge over Rep. As the city prepares for massive demonstrations in Times Square and elsewhere, don’t dismiss the barbarity of Hamas because the terror group is based halfway around the world.
Its members and allies can and will try to do harm on US soil, too.
Witness former chieftain Khaled Meshaal’s call for a global day of jihad Friday, a blatant attempt to incite violence.
“To all scholars who teach jihad,” said Meshaal from his deluxe Doha surroundings, “this is a moment for the application (of theories).”
That call was echoed by Hamas itself, per regional analysts.
Not that the terror group’s fans need much encouragement to become violent.

One unexpected blowback from the medieval Hamas's barbaric murdering of hundreds of Israeli civilians is the revelation of current global amorality.
More than 20 Harvard university identity politics groups pledged their support to the Hamas murderers -- to the utter silence for days of Harvard President Claudine Gay.
Americans knew higher education practiced racist admission policies. It has long promoted racially segregated dorms and graduations. And de facto it has destroyed the First Amendment.
But the overt support for Hamas killers by the diversity, equity, and inclusion crowd on a lot of campuses exposes to Americans the real moral and intellectual rot in higher education.

If the most informative response to the Hamas atrocities was Victor Davis Hanson’s Twitter post on Israel’s “50th anniversary war,” then the most interesting was written in The Spectator by Brendan O’Neill, who asked “why isn’t Antifa condemning the tide of anti-Semitism?”
“Where is Antifa?” he wondered. “Where are those self-styled anti-fascists who love to rage against anything that is even vaguely reminiscent of the 1930s?”
He knows what the rest of us do: That there’s nothing anti-fascist about Antifa.
“To the modern left, everything is fascism except actual fascism,” says O’Neill.

JERUSALEM — Israel’s military on Friday directed the evacuation of northern Gaza, a region that is home to 1.1 million people — about half of the territory’s population — within 24 hours, a U.N. spokesman said.
This could signal an impending ground offensive, though the Israeli military has not yet confirmed such an appeal. On Thursday it said that while it was preparing, a decision has not yet been made.
The order, delivered to the U.N., comes as Israel presses an offensive against Hamas militants. U.N. spokesman Stéphane Dujarric called the order “impossible” without “devastating humanitarian consequences.”
