The government of Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday that the Saudi and Chinese navies have commenced a three-week joint exercise known as “Blue Sword.” The first Blue Sword drill was held in 2019, near Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea port city of Jeddah. This year’s exercise was launched from the southern Chinese city of Zhanjiang, with a ceremony attended by hundreds of troops. “The goal of the exercise is to boost the mutual trust and friendly relations between the Chinese and the Saudi Arabian navies, enhance the participants’ capabilities in naval combat and comprehensively improve the joint operational capabilities of overseas armed rescue units,” said China’s state-run Global Times.

Saudi navy? Everybody point and laugh. Saudis are not sailors, preferring to get in their air-conditioned Mercedes and drive into the desert for a goat-grab. The Red Chinese navy is something to worry about, though. The Saudis have given them access to port facilities on the Red Sea apparently. THAT’s what’s in it for China.

The Saudis are playing nice with all sides since the Biden administration has made the USA a less than reliable ally. They are hedging their bets just to be safe. This is probably also a business decision for the Saudis.

Saudi Arabia is making a "power move" in light of the growing Persian nuclear threat. Iran has been mated to Russia for decades and now Saudi Arabia is being courted by Red China. Amazing how these "hard-core Islamic States" are making deals with "atheist Communist devils" in an effort to bring the U.S.A. down a notch, or three, on the world stage. In the end, no nation wants to trust in Russian or Chinese made weapons. No way.

Newly-released documents reportedly found on the bodies of dead Hamas terrorists involved in Saturday’s attack on Israel show that the group intentionally targeted schools, and planned to kill civilians, along with taking hostages. NBC News reported: Documents exclusively obtained by NBC News show that Hamas created detailed plans to target elementary schools and a youth center in the Israeli kibbutz of Kfar Sa’ad, to “kill as many people as possible,” seize hostages and quickly move them into the Gaza Strip. The attack plans, which are labeled “top secret” in Arabic, appear to be orders for two highly trained Hamas units

Israeli bodies were located during a raid on Gaza carried out by forces under the command of the 7th Armoured Brigade, on Friday night. Reports were received from the forces near the border that there were "discoveries" near the border. The discoveries underwent investigations, which led to the later decision to send in a large force under the command of Lt. Col. Shimon Putrabani. After the brigade surrounded the location, bodies were collected from and transported to Israeli territory. The operation was carried out jointly by infantry and armored units which took out a Hamas cell that fired anti-tank missiles at Israeli territory. This was the first operation

You hear this all the time from the critics of Israel’s bombing of Gaza as if it is proof that Israel is a cruel bloodthirsty country. My response: why not? It’s not like Hamas hasn’t been the recipient of billions of dollars in Western aid, no less the blood money they get from their allies in Iran and other outlaw regimes. There is one reason why Gaza citizens are in the line of fire, why they are being subject to bombings, why they will be in the streets during vicious street-to-street fighting shortly, and why their hospitals and schools are getting destroyed: Hamas wants it that way. Hamas builds bunkers and tunnels,

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Friday on Israel to limit Palestinian civilian deaths as he worked to set up safe areas in the Gaza Strip, seeking to keep calm in the Arab world following a major Hamas attack. After a solidarity visit to Tel Aviv, Blinken, on a six-nation tour of the Arab world, again defended Israel's right to respond but also stepped up the tone on protecting innocent Palestinians. "We have urged the Israelis to use every possible precaution to avoid harm to civilians," Blinken told a news conference in Qatar. The Israel Defense Forces tells Fox News that its infantry forces and tanks entered the Gaza Strip Friday to conduct localized raids. Fox News' Trey Yingst reported the military action was not the much-anticipated ground invasion by the Israeli military of the Gaza Strip. The development comes as the militant group Hezbollah took responsibility for targeting Israeli military posts with small-arms fire along the country's border with Lebanon, which the Israelis responded to with artillery strikes. More than 1,300 Israelis were killed and thousands more wounded when Hamas launched a surprise terror attack on the Jewish state Saturday. As many as 150 people are believed to have been taken captive

JERUSALEM — Israel’s military on Friday directed the evacuation of northern Gaza, a region that is home to 1.1 million people — about half of the territory’s population — within 24 hours, a U.N. spokesman said. This could signal an impending ground offensive, though the Israeli military has not yet confirmed such an appeal. On Thursday it said that while it was preparing, a decision has not yet been made. The order, delivered to the U.N., comes as Israel presses an offensive against Hamas militants. U.N. spokesman Stéphane Dujarric called the order “impossible” without “devastating humanitarian consequences.”

For the past seventeen years, the world has condemned the containment of Gaza that followed the rise of Hamas to power in that territory. In just a few days, the world finally learned why containment was necessary for Israel’s security. Hamas’ orgy of annihilation of defenseless civilians, widespread rape of Israeli women (and others caught in their invasion), and hostage-seizing perfectly demonstrated why Gazans needed to be isolated. And not just by Israel. For some reason, few bother to acknowledge that Egypt has partnered with Israel on that containment strategy, and for the same reasons. Those reasons are so vital to Cairo that even with an Israeli ground invasion perhaps just hours

The only question is how much of that will we be paying. But sure. Why not pump another $294 million into the terror nests after all the billions we’ve already spent subsidizing them? What could possibly go wrong? The United Nations issues an emergency appeal for $294 million to address “the most urgent needs” in Gaza and the West Bank. The funds would be used to help more than 1.2 million people, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says, stressing that aid groups do not have “the resources required to adequately respond to the full range of needs of vulnerable Palestinians.” You could address some pretty urgent needs
