Rudolph Isley, a founding member of the legendary soul group The Isley Brothers, has died at age 84, his family confirmed.
"There are no words to express my feelings and the love I have for my brother," Ronald Isley said in a statement to CBS News. "Our family will miss him. But I know he's in a better place."
A cause of death has not been revealed. Rudolph was an original member of the family musical group that consisted of him and his brothers O'Kelly "Kelly" Isley Jr. and Ronald Isley. The R&B and soul band took off in the late 1950s and continued to make music for over six decades.

For the past seventeen years, the world has condemned the containment of Gaza that followed the rise of Hamas to power in that territory. In just a few days, the world finally learned why containment was necessary for Israel’s security. Hamas’ orgy of annihilation of defenseless civilians, widespread rape of Israeli women (and others caught in their invasion), and hostage-seizing perfectly demonstrated why Gazans needed to be isolated.
And not just by Israel.
For some reason, few bother to acknowledge that Egypt has partnered with Israel on that containment strategy, and for the same reasons. Those reasons are so vital to Cairo that even with an Israeli ground invasion perhaps just hours

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday said the Israeli government showed him photographs and videos of Hamas atrocities, including of a baby riddled with bullets, soldiers beheaded, and young people burned alive in their cars or hideaways.
"It's simply depravity in the worst imaginable way. It almost defies comprehension," Blinken told a news briefing in Tel Aviv, where he traveled after hundreds of Hamas terrorists poured across the barrier fence and rampaged through Israeli towns on Saturday. Blinken said Hamas had no regard for the rule of law or "any basic standard of human decency" and instead target civilians "in the most inhumane ways possible."

A 19-year-old female suspect allegedly assaulted a 24-year-old Israeli School of General Studies student at Columbia University on Wednesday evening after tearing down photos of Israeli hostages that had been posted by the victim.
A spokesperson for the NYPD told National Review that Maxwell Friedman was arrested and charged with one count of assault. The victim suffered minor injuries, including a broken finger and laceration, according to the Columbia University student publication, which complied with the victim’s request to remain anonymous. The victim and a friend had reportedly been putting up posters of Israelis who had been taken hostage by Hamas. The perpetrator asked to join, and later, began ripping down

The American death toll from the barbaric Hamas terror attack on Israel has risen to 25, Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced Thursday, shortly after arriving in Israel to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior government officials.
The number of confirmed American fatalities has continued to rise since Saturday, when thousands of Hamas terrorists poured across the Israel-Gaza border to slaughter, kidnap, and torture Israeli civilians.
There are at least 17 Americans among the hostages who were dragged back across the border into Gaza as Hamas withdrew, the White House announced Wednesday.

The government of Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday that the Saudi and Chinese navies have commenced a three-week joint exercise known as “Blue Sword.”
The first Blue Sword drill was held in 2019, near Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea port city of Jeddah. This year’s exercise was launched from the southern Chinese city of Zhanjiang, with a ceremony attended by hundreds of troops.
“The goal of the exercise is to boost the mutual trust and friendly relations between the Chinese and the Saudi Arabian navies, enhance the participants’ capabilities in naval combat and comprehensively improve the joint operational capabilities of overseas armed rescue units,” said China’s state-run Global Times.

Addressing reporters during a press conference with Jewish leaders at the White House on Wednesday, Joe Biden appeared to confirm reports that Israeli babies had been found decapitated at Kibbutz Kfar Aza along the Gaza border after Hamas terrorists withdrew from the area.
“I never really thought that I would see and have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children. I never thought I’d ever,” Biden said alongside a group of Jewish leaders. Several outlets reported earlier this week that the decapitated bodies of babies had been found at the kibbutz in Southern Israel by the Israeli military.
Tal Heinrich, a spokesman for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, confirmed the reports on Wednesday

Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger has reportedly been left “overwhelmed and exhausted” by the challenge of righting the ship at the Mouse House, whose tanking stock price has spurred activist investor Nelson Peltz to further boost his stake in the firm.
People in Iger’s inner circle told Bloomberg News that the CEO, who recently returned to helm the company with great fanfare after the disastrous tenure of his handpicked successor, Bob Chapek, has often joked to confidantes: “Why did I come back?” Peltz, who called off his proxy fight with Disney in February after Iger committed to a $5.5 billion cost-cutting spree which included laying off 7,000 employees,

House Republicans have chosen Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., as their nominee for speaker after huddling behind closed doors for over two hours on Wednesday.
GOP lawmakers voted via secret ballot for who they will put up as speaker in a House floor vote, which will likely come sometime this week.
It comes after former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., was ousted in a vote by eight members of his own party and all House Democrats last week. That moment marked the first time in history the U.S. House of Representatives voted to remove its own leader. The contest to replace him quickly became a two-man race between

Come on, man, you may be tempted to respond. The US had known Hamas to be a client and proxy for the mullahs in Tehran for decades. Hamas even routinely brags about the support they get from Iran. They have relied on Iranian arms and munitions for their constant rocket attacks on Israel ever since the Israeli occupation of Gaza ended in 2005, an arms stream that forced Israel to put a policy of containment in place.
So why investigate whether Iran’s revolutionary guard (IRGC) trained Hamas “militants,” as NBC News calls the barbaric terrorists? There may be a reason to “investigate” the obvious:

House Republicans are demanding information about former Special Envoy for Iran (SEI) Robert Malley and members of his negotiating team who “may have had compromising ties to the Iranian regime.”
House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer and Representative Glenn Grothman, who chairs the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs, wrote a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday, giving the State Department until October 25 to turn over information related to Malley and his team.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense chief and centrist opposition party leader Benny Gantz have agreed to form an emergency government, a joint statement from Gantz's National Unity party said on Wednesday. Terrorists from Islamist group Hamas invaded Israel from the Gaza Strip on Saturday in a surprise assault that killed at least 1,200 people, the deadliest Palestinian militant attack in Israeli history.
Israel has responded with a massive bombardment of Gaza that has killed 1,055, and deployed thousands of troops around the enclave amid growing expectations it will launch a ground invasion to destroy Hamas.
