EU has successful states and failed states. The successful states like France and Germany send huge amounts of money to the failed states. Greece has been a failed state for decades. When you continue to elect communist governments - nothing works. The government doesn't work, the people don't work.

There's something about Greeks that truly confuses me. They love engaging in capitalism, while at the same time they're huge proponents of Communism. I'm guessing that their love of Communism is due to the Greek Civil War of the 1940s, during which time the Communists lost and the country didn't become a Soviet satellite.

It’s still early, but there are patterns
to what’s happening in Israel

The situation in Israel is changing with incredible rapidity, but it’s still possible to understand some of what’s going on. This post puts together a few ideas about what’s happening. One. The date of this attack is symbolic to the Muslim attackers. On October 6, 1973—fifty years ago, almost to the day—the Yom Kippur War began when a coalition of Arab states attacked Israel. After 19 days of fierce fighting, Israel won a decisive victory. Muslims never forget military victories or losses and, as we’ve seen before, they like to time their attacks to coincide with those anniversaries. This attack is intended as revenge for and a re-do of that war.
10 Ways Democrats Are Already Rigging
The 2024 Election

It’s no secret by now that Democrats love rigging elections in their favor. During the 2016 contest, agencies such as the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI willingly partook in a Hillary Clinton campaign-funded operation to convince the American public that Donald Trump colluded with Vladimir Putin and the Russian government to steal the election. The FBI didn’t just launch an investigation into Trump based on “uncorroborated intelligence”; it used the Clinton-funded Steele dossier to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on his campaign.
Hold on, here’s why Trump can’t become

Former President Donald Trump revealed Wednesday that he has been fielding calls about possibly becoming the next speaker of the House of Representatives, but the legal battles weighing over the GOP juggernaut might keep him on the campaign trail rather than Capitol Hill. While Trump, 77, has already been deemed the preferred speaker choice for at least two House Republicans, a little-known House GOP rule restricting those with felony indictments from serving in the role could make him ineligible for the post. “A member of the Republican Leadership shall step aside if indicted for a felony for which a sentence of two or more years’ imprisonment may be imposed,

The FBI says that New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez tried to interfere in two criminal matters in exchange for payoffs — and now NBC New York has learned the names of three people the Democratic senator allegedly wanted to pressure. According to numerous sources familiar with the matter, two of the people were trying to become the state's U.S. Attorney. The third was, at the time, New Jersey’s attorney general, sources said. In an indictment, the three officials who were allegedly contacted are unnamed. But several sources said Menendez improperly reached out to the then-New Jersey attorney general, the now-sitting New Jersey U.S. Attorney, and the current Hudson County Prosecutor.

Washington — The House on Tuesday voted 216 to 210 to remove California Republican Kevin McCarthy from his position as House speaker, a historic move that comes days after he reached an 11th-hour deal to avert a government shutdown with the help of House Democrats. The ouster came after Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz acted Monday night to force a vote on a motion to vacate the office of the speaker, following through on a threat he made last week to take the gavel from the California Republican while the threat of a shutdown loomed. While other speakers throughout history have stepped down after losing the support of their party,

The Supreme Court sided on Tuesday with federal interference in the Alabama legislature for the second time in four months, by ordering or allowing the liberal judicial override of a redistricting plan. This misuse of the Voting Rights Act obstructs a state legislature from exercising its constitutional authority to reformulate its congressional districts based on population changes. Some 15 years after Americans elected a black president, and long after black congressmen and senators have been elected by majority-white constituents, the Supreme Court is still falling for the liberal lie that whites won’t elect a black representative. Liberals perpetuate this fiction to increase the number of Democrat-controlled congressional districts,

“Violent extremists” would be “very willing to take action” on Jan 6, the FBI correctly predicted two months before the riots the Bureau helped organize and instigate.Funny how that works, isn’t it? It’s a predictably breathless report from NBC News examining an internal FBI analysis that determined the Stop the Steal protests would require “law enforcement preemption” but that the “disorganization” of extremist groups would “hinder widespread violence.” Unless, you know, the FBI stepped in to help organize things a bit.

“Ralph Nader is not going to be welcome anywhere near the corridors,” then-senator Biden had declared, blaming the consumer advocate for Democrat Al Gore’s defeat to Republican George W. Bush. So began Nader’s long exile from Democratic Capitol Hill hideaways, where Nader had once been feted as a conquering policy genius. Nader, a spry 89-year-old who works remotely because of covid concerns, still resents the slight. But if you ask him these days about Biden’s reelection fight in 2024, he does not respond with his old gibes about Republicans and Democrats being nothing more than “Tweedledum and Tweedledee.”

JPMorgan Chase agreed on Tuesday to pay the US Virgin Islands $75 million to settle a lawsuit alleging the Wall Street behemoth enabled Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring by ignoring red flags related to Epstein’s accounts at the investment bank. The historic settlement, which marks the first enforcement action filed against a bank for profiting from human trafficking, comes just one month before JPMorgan and USVI were set to go to trial in Manhattan. “As part of the settlement, JPMorgan has agreed to implement and maintain meaningful anti-trafficking measures, which will help prevent human trafficking in the future,” USVI Attorney General Smith said in a press release.

The Western world awoke Saturday morning to war in Israel, images of Hamas terrorists slaughtering Israeli civilians in the streets, and Hamas rockets raining down on Israeli neighborhoods. Israeli families were (and, as of this writing, still are) fleeing for their lives. On social media, Hamas posted horrifying videos — a dead, naked Israeli woman being paraded through the streets, plainclothes Hamas fighters slitting the throats of civilians in their cars, and women and children being kidnapped and carried away to a fate worse than death. The situation is fluid and developing, and there will be much to say in the days and weeks to come —

According to a memo obtained by Libs of TikTok, the law group informed members that the word “picnic” has “historical and offensive connotations,” and apologized for “any harm or discomfort” caused by its use. The group’s view mirrors that of the University of Michigan’s IT department from several years ago: “Picnic” was included in a “Words Matter Task Force’s” list of offensive words and phrases along with “brown bag,” “blacklist” and “long time, no see” among others.

Hillary Clinton has to be the Rasputin of 21st century American politics. Grigori Rasputin – the “Mad Monk” -- was a Russian religious fanatic who managed to worm his way into the Russian imperial family with a claim that he could alleviate the hemophilia suffered by Tsarevich Alexei. In short order he was exercising personal control over Tsarina Alexandra, the boy’s mother, who in turn influenced the easily-led Tsar Nicholas II. Rasputin’s erratic behavior led to extreme alarm among the Russian nobility. At last, late in December 1916, Prince Yusupov invited Rasputin to his St. Petersburg palace, where Rasputin was fed a lethal dose of poisoned cakes

The surprise attack by Hamas on Israel suggests a massive intelligence failure as the Israeli government appeared blindsided by the infiltration of Hamas fighters across the southern border and the launch of thousands of rockets. The Hamas assault by air, land and sea also raised questions as to why U.S. intelligence agencies apparently did not see it coming, experts and former intelligence officials said. U.S. officials said that if the Israelis knew an attack was imminent, they did not share it with Washington. “We were not tracking this,” one senior U.S. military official told NBC News.
