The Biden administration is setting a booby trap in case a Republican wins the presidency in 2024.
On Friday, the White House unveiled a proposed rule that would make it even harder than in the past for an incoming Republican president to wrestle control of the left-leaning federal bureaucracy and actually implement the conservative policies promised to voters. Of the 2.2 million federal civil workers, only 4,000 are presidential appointees. The rest stay in their jobs, from one administration to the next, protected by rules that make it nearly impossible to discipline or replace them.

Dismantle the DOJ/FBI, EPA, NEA, ATF, IRS and anything to do with DEI and Affirmative Action. The rest will fall in line.

If I remember correctly, the president has the authority to reduce a Federal employee's salary to one Dollar. You don't have to fire them if they quit.

Great suggestions, we don't have to take the Dem's lying underhanded effort to control even after they are out, and it they keep up all this crap they will indeed be out. People are sick of having their lives and livelihoods trashed by these political thugs.

Has Betsy not been listening to Vivek? He has laid out in detail how a president can lawfully cut the size of the Federal workforce and with it the leftist bureaucrats.

Defund them. If they want to keep working free of charge, not a problem.

don't issues like these have to be enacted by congress? - guess we have finally become a "Banana Republic" but an incoming president can change any of these rules, etc and enact their own so, I don't see any big issue and especially if our President gets a majority Republican House and Senate there'll be no stopping him, I mean, our President

Simple solution: Relocate ALL non-essential DC jobs OUT OF DC to some quaint place like Minot, ND.
This is entirely un-Constitutional. The POTUS is CEO of the Executive Branch and can do what he wants with that vast Branch, whether or not Congress-goons vote anything into law.

#2, The President also has the clout of the Presidential records act too….see how that has worked out for him!? Democrats are playing for keeps and I am beginning to believe that Republicans don’t even understand that they are in the fight of their lives. God help us!

The Democrats are always 10 steps ahead , the have no intention to allow the peaceful transfer of power . While the battles about firing are going on relieve the bureaucrats of all power, warehouse them and make sure they’re uncomfortable also transfer to places like Samoa , Guam and Alaska.

FTA: "The rest stay in their jobs, from one administration to the next, protected by rules that make it nearly impossible to discipline or replace them."
That it is nearly impossible to terminate a federal employee is essentially a myth made up by the lazy upper level bureaucrats and political appointees who do not wish to exert the effort required to discipline or remove federal workers. The process isn't automatic, like so many senior feds may wish it to be; you have to do some work to make it stick and be grievance-proof. One thing that I found that works is to have promoted more minority supervisors, good workers regardless of race, than your Agency's HR department, so when they come prowling for numbers to whip you with, you can turn the tables and once the taint of racism is taken off the table, make your employee termination case based on the documented performance deficiencies of the employee and said employee's failure to improve performance.

Biden has been and is acting as a one-man band all along.
Signing this, decreeing that, forbidding the other.
At least it can all be cancelled, "with a stroke of the pen," should Trump end up back in the WH........
Like that is going to happen!!!

The Deep State would squish Vivek like a bug if he tried to do that, #4. The media, the Uniparty and the left would come down on him and his family like a TON of big big bricks. Vivek doesn’t have the maturity, fighter instincts, political wartime experience or courage to handle any of that.

Working in an engineering assignment for a defense contractor in the mid 60’s, I watched the most incompetent individual in the department desperately seek a government job. He got it and we did not have to put up with his incessant whining anymore. Good for us! I always think government employees are just like Dean.

Realistically before the wimpy Republicans can do anything to reform the federal bureaucratic system they must first win control of the Presidency, and the Congress by big margins. It does not help that wimpy Republican presidential candidates are out the claiming that when they are elected that they will fire up to 75% of the federal workforce across the board.

Notice how they feel the need to put into place some sort of controls instead of believing that their schemes are widely accepted by the masses?
