U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was first elected to his position in 1984. Thereafter, the voters of Kentucky elected him another six times, with his last victory occurring in 2020. Nonetheless, at the age of eighty-one, there are questions about whether McConnell will be able to serve the entirety of his latest six-year term, which does not end until 2026.When a reporter asked him that question at a recent event in Kentucky, McConnell “froze.” He stopped talking and stared blankly ahead without answering the question.

It appears that John Thune(SD) is a favorite RINO fetch dog of Mitch "MultiUselessMotionLess" McConnell. Another Senator from South Dakota says "Motionless" is "perfectly capable". Ah, cough cough, don't let your eyes deceive you.

He's suffering the effects of head trauma after he fell and hit his head in March of this year. These "blank-outs" are probably, "Absence Seizures," or, "Petit Mal Seizures," resulting from that injury. Not sure if there's any therapy or medicine for that. He needs to be under medical care not making political decisions.

Senate and congress office holders should have a 3 term limit. After that they become more interested in their own benefit and not much more for the country.

Term limits won't be effective if the person limited out has a spouse, sibling or adult child to take their place.

FYA: “ ‘ It is time for U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to fulfill his commitment to the Freedom Caucus and bring the issue to a vote. Let us see which members of Congress listen to “We the People.” ‘
Wake me when they’re voting.
(Prediction: it will never happen)

Silly citizens. Is God's wish that politicians stay forever regardless of circumstances. They need the money.

Even if the wimpy Republicans go along with the leftist Democrats and pass some sort of “Term Limits” you can safely bet that the current geriatric bunch in the Congress will be grandfathered in.

the problem, once again, rises and seeks answers from the populace but, there is only one problem with enacting this issue and making it law .... the congress!! bot House and Senate, the don't want to give up their selected seats in whatever house they occupy because ... well, you know "the rest of the story"
- term limits will never happen so don't expect anything like this legislation to ever become a reality

Now that we know there is massive cheating in our election process, can we state confidently that these old dusty creatures even won their races? I don’t trust the election process and will not change my mind until massive changes are made. One day, one paper ballot, with meaningful oversight.

They had to do a hard reboot, control-alt-delete, again. Between brain dead Fetterman, Nursing home Did I, and Mitch "I need a reboot" McConnell, we're in Great shape.

Congress will never, ever launch a constitutional amendment that limits the time legislators can serve. The only way such an amendment could ever succeed is to convene a convention of the states as laid out in Article V. Two-thirds of the states can propose an amendment, which would then require three-fourths of the states to approve it. Governors, all courts, the president and federal legislators would play no role. Needless to say the Democrats would fight to the death to prevent this from happening and, unfortunately, there are too many Republicans who oppose the convention of the states.

Newt Gingrich kept his promise with the Contract with America and brought Term Limits up for a vote. It was defeated and never heard from again. Such an amendment not only needs to address family members taking their place, but also prohibit lobbying after their terms. Perhaps they could lobby but only if they forfeit their federal pensions and other benefits.

it is perplexing how Kentuckians repeatedly put fiscal conservative Rand Paul and big-spending RINOcrat Bendict Turtle in time after time-- one fights government over reach and demands accountability for taxpayer money spent and the other is a leader of all-out efforts to preventing accountability
