U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was first elected to his position in 1984. Thereafter, the voters of Kentucky elected him another six times, with his last victory occurring in 2020. Nonetheless, at the age of eighty-one, there are questions about whether McConnell will be able to serve the entirety of his latest six-year term, which does not end until 2026.When a reporter asked him that question at a recent event in Kentucky, McConnell “froze.” He stopped talking and stared blankly ahead without answering the question.

It appears that John Thune(SD) is a favorite RINO fetch dog of Mitch "MultiUselessMotionLess" McConnell. Another Senator from South Dakota says "Motionless" is "perfectly capable". Ah, cough cough, don't let your eyes deceive you.

He's suffering the effects of head trauma after he fell and hit his head in March of this year. These "blank-outs" are probably, "Absence Seizures," or, "Petit Mal Seizures," resulting from that injury. Not sure if there's any therapy or medicine for that. He needs to be under medical care not making political decisions.

Senate and congress office holders should have a 3 term limit. After that they become more interested in their own benefit and not much more for the country.

Term limits won't be effective if the person limited out has a spouse, sibling or adult child to take their place.

the problem, once again, rises and seeks answers from the populace but, there is only one problem with enacting this issue and making it law .... the congress!! bot House and Senate, the don't want to give up their selected seats in whatever house they occupy because ... well, you know "the rest of the story" - term limits will never happen so don't expect anything like this legislation to ever become a reality

Now that we know there is massive cheating in our election process, can we state confidently that these old dusty creatures even won their races? I don’t trust the election process and will not change my mind until massive changes are made. One day, one paper ballot, with meaningful oversight.

Congress will never, ever launch a constitutional amendment that limits the time legislators can serve. The only way such an amendment could ever succeed is to convene a convention of the states as laid out in Article V. Two-thirds of the states can propose an amendment, which would then require three-fourths of the states to approve it. Governors, all courts, the president and federal legislators would play no role. Needless to say the Democrats would fight to the death to prevent this from happening and, unfortunately, there are too many Republicans who oppose the convention of the states.

Newt Gingrich kept his promise with the Contract with America and brought Term Limits up for a vote. It was defeated and never heard from again. Such an amendment not only needs to address family members taking their place, but also prohibit lobbying after their terms. Perhaps they could lobby but only if they forfeit their federal pensions and other benefits.

it is perplexing how Kentuckians repeatedly put fiscal conservative Rand Paul and big-spending RINOcrat Bendict Turtle in time after time-- one fights government over reach and demands accountability for taxpayer money spent and the other is a leader of all-out efforts to preventing accountability

Thomas told News Nation that DeSantis lacks all of the qualities that make a good candidate – charm, charisma, discipline, being likeable – and he is now backing Trump. John Thomas: I, along with a lot of grassroots supporters and major donors, said, okay, let’s draft DeSantis, encourage him to run for president, because we think he’s got the stuff. Except there was one problem, Adrian. It’s that when Governor DeSantis did end up launching, he had a failure to launch, and he’s never recovered.

Those of us who have been paying attention since January of 2021 have all seen the ongoing deterioration of President Biden, and it's a matter of some concern for everyone, be they Left, Right, or center, that the man who supposedly sits at the levers of power in Washington is not all he should be. (I would argue that he's not even within shouting distance of where he should be.) With Donald Trump and Joe Biden in the political mix for the 2024 presidential election, there is nothing normal about our politics or this campaign season. Almost no question is too crazy to ask.

News broke Monday that U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, the judge overseeing the Jan. 6-related case against Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., set a March 4, 2024, trial date for the former president. It just so happens that March 4 is the day before Super Tuesday, when more than a dozen states, from California to Texas to Virginia, will hold Republican primary elections. What a coincidence! What this means is that Trump, the Republican front-runner by a wide margin, will not be able to campaign ahead of the most important date on the GOP primary calendar. It also means he’ll likely be tied up in court a week later on March 12,

Hospitalizations are still less than half what they were when President Joe Biden said, "The pandemic is over."Yet the shallow media keep pounding away: "It may be time to break out the masks" headlined CNN. Frightened people believe. The movie studio Lionsgate reinstated an office mask mandate. Atlanta's Morris Brown College mandated masks and even banned parties. That all Republicans should first stop giving in to the media and other Democrats by calling limits on abortion a "ban" on abortion. Six-, 13-, 15-, or 20-week limits on abortions are not bans any more than moving pornographic books out of children’s sections in libraries is a "ban."It appears that many people are giving Nikki Haley high marks for the debate because she appeared moderate and reasonable and willing to work with Democrats

Despite years of Biden family and media disinformation, we are finally learning that President Joe Biden really did fire Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin for looking into state corruption involving the oil company Burisma and Hunter Biden -- and ultimately Joe Biden himself. As vice president, Biden, in his own words, bragged that he had threatened to cancel the deliverance of American foreign aid to Ukraine unless Shokin was dismissed. So what is Congress to do now -- un-impeach and exonerate an innocent impeached Donald Trump, and instead impeach a guilty Biden for essentially the same allegations?
