A majority of priests of the Church of England want the church to offer same-sex weddings and allow premarital and gay sex, according to a major survey.
The survey, conducted by the Times, found most Anglican priests think church teaching should be brought into line with public opinion on moral issues.
Most priests support a change to allow gay couples to get married in church, with 53.4 percent in favor and 36.5 percent opposed, revealed the survey, which assessed responses from 1,200 active Anglican priests.
The Church of England currently allows blessings for gay couples but only permits church weddings between a man and a woman.

Suicides by women in Afghanistan are skyrocketing according to a new report that has come out a year after President Biden catastrophically pulled US forces from the country handing it over to the Taliban. The despair of Afghanistan women suffering under the deadly oppression of the Taliban is palpable to all women and it should bring great shame to the Biden administration. One young woman was kept from becoming a doctor and then was forced into a marriage with her cousin who was a heroin addict. She felt she had nothing left to live for

A judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by six University of Wyoming Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority sisters seeking to block a trans-identifying male from joining.
The sorority sisters will now be forced to accommodate Artemis Langford (whose given name is Dallin), a 6’2″, 260-pound man who believes he is a woman. Wyoming U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson, after hearing allegations of sexual deviancy on Langford’s part, ultimately dismissed the case on Friday and stated that redefining “woman” to include males was “Kappa Kappa Gamma’s bedrock right as a private, voluntary organization — and one this Court may not invade.” Johnson notably used Langford’s preferred she/her pronouns in his decision

In recent years, auto thefts and carjackings have become ordinary events in the streets of Chicago, often occurring in the middle of the day and sometimes being live-streamed on social media as they occur.
Last year, Chicago reported more than 21,000 vehicle thefts. In 2021, the number was “only” 14,000.
Unfortunately, things are getting much worse. As of this writing, Chicago has experienced more than 20,000 vehicle thefts, with nearly four months before the year ends.
But worry not, my fellow Chicagoans, Mayor Brandon Johnson has a plan that is sure to solve the problem: He is suing two automakers, Kia and Hyundai,

The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) has reported fuel contamination could impact residents who are evacuating from Florida’s coast.
FDACS reported fuel contamination has occurred at dozens of gas stations that were serviced by the Port of Tampa.
In a press release, FDACS revealed, “Any fuel purchased after 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, at stations supplied by Citgo from the Port of Tampa has a strong likelihood of being contaminated with diesel fuel.”

enate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell froze up again during a press conference Wednesday afternoon, marking the second such incident in just over a month.
During the press conference in Kentucky, McConnell failed to respond after a reporter asked him his thoughts on “running for reelection in 2026.” The senator, who took office in 1985, attempted to mumble something before falling silent. After around 10 seconds of silence, an aide approached McConnell and asked if he’d heard the question. McConnell appeared to whisper “Yes” in response before falling silent again.

In honor of the reversal of the ban on gay men donating blood, a former policy advisor under President Joe Biden will roll up his sleeve and give what he has to offer.
Dr. Robert Goldstein, former senior policy advisor at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2021 to 2023 and a gay man, will donate blood Tuesday alongside his old mentor Dr Rochelle Walensky, former director of the CDC.
Dr Goldstein, now the commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, has never been able to make the life-saving donation because he is a gay man, and up until May 2023, was forbidden from giving blood

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has acknowledged the existence of around 5,400 emails that it is holding, suggesting President Biden used various email pseudonyms during his time as vice president.
Knowledge of the collection of correspondence came to light following a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request made by the Southeastern Legal Foundation (SLF), a nonprofit organization specializing in constitutional law.
The FOIA request was submitted more than one year ago in June 2022 and

Federal revenue dropped $416 billion compared to this time last year, according to recently released U.S. Treasury Department data, despite the Democrats’ passage of their $780 billion Inflation Reduction Act last year.
The legislation, which President Biden signed in August 2022, contained a 15% minimum corporate income tax, which still hasn't been fully implemented by the IRS.
Experts at the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget and the Tax Foundation told Just the News that most of the revenue raising provisions in the IRA have not taken effect yet but they likely won't raise much revenue given the price-tag of the energy-related tax credits in the bill.

A massive emergency alert test will reportedly sound alarms on all U.S. cellphones, television sets, and radios in October, in the wake of the deadly wildfires on the Hawaiian island of Maui.
On October 4, every cellphone, TV, and radio in the United States will blast a warning tone of an emergency alert, in order to ensure that the nation’s Emergency Alert system is working correctly in the event of a national disaster or attack, according to a report by USA Today.
The emergency alert will most likely read, “This is a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System, issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, covering the United States

On Monday, US District Judge Tanya Chutkan set a March 4 start date for former President Donald Trump’s federal criminal trial on charges of conspiring to overturn the 2020 election. “The public has a right to a prompt and efficient resolution of this matter,” Chutkan said.... Most obviously, with Trump as the current leading contender for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, Americans deserve to know before they vote in the general election if a jury of his peers finds him innocent or guilty of having tried to end the lawful transition of power after the 2020 election.
