The GOP, as a political organization, stands for “Grand Old Party.” How does it live up to its name?
It’s hardly grand, instead it is a circular firing squad of squabbling principles and interests, with many GOPers sitting on their high horses arguing about government’s role, fiscal policy, or candidates’ temperaments. As for old, much of the elected GOP is young, although Senate Majority Mitch McConnell is 81 years old.
The current GOP now stands for “gladly out of power” as elected Republicans are doing everything they can to commit political suicide, becoming a permanent minority in national, and in many cases state and local, politics.

The GOPe is on one side and rank and file Republicans are on the other. The money is 90/10. The people are 10/90. The former does not want Trump to win and be almost as glad as the Democrats to be rid of him. The rank and file however view Trump as the sole life boat the nation has to get out of the present deadly morass. They want other Republican candidates to accept the urgency of the situation, stand down and not mess with the party's chances in '24. Fraud and bodily harm to PDT are the biggest fear now. Nothing else matters. There is no other complicated issue here.

Crooked money grubbers running GOP for their financial insterests, never for the benefit of the country.
Uniparty are at least half of "Republicans", perfectly happy to be making money and moderate power without being the "party in power". They are far more interested in being invited to the right cocktail parties and going on the right "fact finding" boondoggle overseas travel than anything associated with "smaller government" or "freedom".
Way too many RINOs infesting the party.

WOW!! I must have blacked out and written an article for the American Thinker under the moniker "Brian C. Joondeph".
It's everything I've been saying. Lucianne!! This is a must read. Actually a must read for several days.
Every campaign Republicans spend more energy attacking their own than Democrats.
On everyone's computer(windows) - do right click, print, save as pdf. Save it to your cloud backup. Print it out. Read it over and over.
Hey Ann Coulter, David Cole. He's talking about you too. You both spend more time criticizing Republicans/Trump than Democrats.

Republicans (not Conservatives) are like the municipal workers standing around leaning on their shovels. They get paid anyway, so why do anything, much less the right thing.

So what would the good Doctor (he is an ophthalmologist) Joondeph have us do? Write to our congress critters? Take to the streets brandishing AR-15s?
It is all going to play out, and not necessarily to our liking.
