Republican Indiana Rep. Jim Banks sent a letter Wednesday to Department of Agriculture Sec. Tom Vilsack demanding answers over a department rule change Banks said would block religious schools from participating in the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service programs. The rule change falls under the department’s Title IX sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) provision.
(snip) Banks mentions the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) blocking preschoolers enrolled at the Church of Compassion Dayspring Learning Center from qualifying for free lunches provided by the USDA’s Child and Adult Food Care Program in December 2022, because the preschool objected to the USDA’s SOGI rule.

Bill Stevenson, the ex-husband of first lady Jill Biden, said Wednesday on Newsmax that he has been a target of the “very dangerous … Biden crime family.” Stevenson discussed his divorce (snip) “Frankie Biden of the Biden crime family comes up to me and he goes, ‘Give her the house or you’re going to have serious problems.’ I looked at Frankie and I said, ‘Are you threatening me?’ and needless to say, about two months later, my brother and I were indicted for that tax charge for $8,200.” (snip) “I was on the wrong side of them, and they have literally come after me for 35 years in a row."

Health care for some should not involve paying for the death of others.
Despite the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, many pro-abortion advocates still claim that “abortion is health care.” This erroneous phrase misses the mark when it comes to what health care truly is.
When doctors take their oath to “do no harm,” there is an inherent understanding that human life is sacred and therefore not something easily given up or taken away. To take an innocent life -- for whatever reason -- does not constitute health care.

Federal Judge Maryellen Noreika is suddenly in the spotlight. Today she refused to approve Hunter Biden’s plea agreement, as we have discussed in several previous posts. Liberals immediately denounced Judge Noreika as a Trump appointee. All of which raises the question: who is she? (snip) Noreika graduated from Lehigh University, got a masters degree in biology from Columbia, and her law degree, magna cum laude, from Pittsburgh University, where she was a member of the Law Review.
Her career in private practice was with the Morris, Nichols law firm in Wilmington, Delaware. Morris, Nichols is a good, medium-sized firm. She did intellectual property litigation, mostly patent lawsuits.

The FBI furnished key files to the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday regarding its work to combat domestic Catholic extremism and an uptick in threats against school administrators.
Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Oh.) subpoenaed the files and threatened to hold FBI director Christopher Wray in contempt if he refused to hand them over. Jordan had given Wray a July 25 deadline. Now that the bureau has handed over the batch of records, Jordan’s team plans to review the documents and is keeping its options open.

Monday on FNC’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) revealed that he had once again made a referral for former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci’s prosecution by the Department of Justice.
According to the Kentucky Republican, Fauci lied to Congress, which he said was a felony. (snip) “So, everything he’s been telling us from the very beginning has been a lie,” he added. “We’ve documented that it’s a lie, and it’s a felony to lie to Congress. And so, I’ve referred him not once but now twice to the Attorney General of the United States for prosecution."

Hunter Biden's lawyers have responded to allegations that they conspired to lie to a court clerk in the First Son's criminal case in Delaware by saying the incident was simply an 'unfortunate misunderstanding.'
Delaware Judge Maryellen Noreika had ordered the First Son's attorneys to explain themselves by 9pm Tuesday or be sanctioned. (snip) It is claimed that someone from Hunter's attorney Chris Clark's former law firm later called the Delaware clerk – pretending to be from the office of Smith's attorney, Theodore Kittila – asking them to remove the original filing and, with it, 448 pages of Congressional testimony from the two IRS investigators who worked on the case.
