A year ago, Matt K. Lewis, a Senior Columnist at the Daily Beast, did a column of concern trolling called, “‘Anybody but Trump’ Is the Only Way Forward for the GOP.” Lewis wrote, “The GOP’s never been closer to moving on from Donald Trump. “The Jan 6. Committee hearings, coupled with Trump’s mixed record of midterm primary endorsements, have left the 45th president bloodied and bruised even in the eyes of loyal Republican voters. And that’s generating speculation that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis may eventually supplant Trump as the party’s standard bearer.” (Snip) The second question is this: Is Donald Trump a uniquely dangerous person?

Three Republican congressmen introduced a bill Tuesday to repeal the D.C. Home Rule Act, an effort that would remove the Washington, D.C., mayor and council, granting all governing authority in the District to Congress.
The bill, which is not likely to pass, was introduced by Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) and cosponsored by Reps. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) and Byron Donalds (R-Fla.). Ogles said the bill is an attempt to exert authority over the District as Republicans focus on crime policy.

A judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by six University of Wyoming Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority sisters seeking to block a trans-identifying male from joining.
The sorority sisters will now be forced to accommodate Artemis Langford (whose given name is Dallin), a 6’2″, 260-pound man who believes he is a woman. The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) has reported fuel contamination could impact residents who are evacuating from Florida’s coast.
FDACS reported fuel contamination has occurred at dozens of gas stations that were serviced by the Port of Tampa.
In a press release, FDACS revealed, “Any fuel purchased after 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, at stations supplied by Citgo from the Port of Tampa has a strong likelihood of being contaminated with diesel fuel.”

His point is that abandoning Trump now means acceptance of every illegal and evil action taken against him. I think that's right. It's only Trump who is capable of taking on the enemies of our country, internal and external.
