Incompetent teachers get rich, kids suffer

Public schools (I prefer the term “government schools”) in Democrat-run cities have become a racket, plundering taxpayers’ funds and failing to deliver even a minimally acceptable education. The fact that Americans spend more on their government schools than any other country, and yet our students place near the bottom of standardized achievement tests is all the proof that one needs. We are being cheated on a massive scale, and the future of the nation is in peril when large numbers of children, mostly but not exclusively minorities, are being condemned to law pay and social status because they are so innumerate and illiterate.

According to the teacher's union, the solution to every education problem is to spend more money. Perhaps if they spent less time pushing their political agenda and more time teaching the basics, our kids would not be illiterate.

At one point this rhetoric was valid but no more. Teachers no longer teach but are forced by nea, unions, school districts to peddle propaganda. Every moment of their day is scripted and liberal administrators dangle teachers careers, loan debt, as tools to force compliance. I have a friend who is trying to make retirement and in her classroom actually teach without bringing the wrath of her supervisor . Before her integrity is questioned she is a widowed mom of 2. The title should read “incompetent nea and unions get rich”

Is there anyone more racist than a teacher who does not love the profession and chose to teach because they thought it took little work on their part and they got summers off. If they treated teaching like a profession instead of treating it like a job, then children who attend government schools would know how to read, write, and compute - basic skills needed to build all future learning. It's not that hard when you really want to educate the children.

The premise here seems to be that Black people can’t pass a competency test and this isn’t fair. What would the Black version of this test look like? Or should Blacks be exempt from taking the test? Is this what they think of themselves?

I read somewhere that the school board/state teachers union in Baltimore MD spends a whopping 40,000 per student. That's startling since a huge amount of high school graduates from our 29th largest US city are some of the dumbest in the country. Most of those kids can't read or write. The teacher's there care but most do not and are either incompetent of apathetic. It damn sure didn't help that the leftist teacher's union and democrats that are/were beholden to them like the late not great Elijah Cummings did nothing. Except get rich off of taxpayer money. It is shameful and like the title says the kids suffer. Especially in cities ran by corrupt, power-hungry democrats.

Where I live, the schools biggest concerns are sports, and the attendant sides, like the cheer and dance teams.

A simple picture proves his point quite nicely. Draw a graph from 1960 to the present, one line representing the average cost per student across America in the government schools and a second line representing our students' performance against other students in the world. The two lines cross somewhere after a few decades with the cost line shooting upward and the performance line going underwater. It soon becomes clear that that government schools are nothing but a huge political and money operation with students being shortchanged to a greater degree every year.

“Note the mental image evoked by the very word public: public school, public park, public health, public housing. To call something public is to define it as dirty, insufficient and hazardous. The ultimate paradigm of social spending is the public restroom.”
