Republican senators say they’re worried that conservative populism, though always a part of the GOP, is beginning to take over the party, becoming more radical and threatening to cause them significant political problems heading into the 2024 election.
GOP senators are saying they’re being increasingly confronted by constituents who buy into discredited conspiracy theories such as the claim that Democrats stole the 2020 presidential election or that federal agents incited the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
By Jove I think they got it. Yeah, sure…

Because you cannot, or will not, prove that it wasn't.
Did you steal your election?

Those aren’t “discredited conspiracy theories,” Alexander. More and more Americans are realizing the truth. But, I love that the GOP is worried. They should be.

Everyone knows elections have been getting stolen since at least Kennedy/Nixon. To say otherwise is pure ignorance or gas lighting.
They tried to steal 2016 but underestimated how much they'd need to win by so they way over did it next time and we got the ridiculous result in 2020 of a senile fool that had a reputation for being a bumbling clown and had no real constituency or political philosophy getting 81 million votes. A man who didn't even campaign and when he did very rarely show up there were more reporters than voters.
In an honest election Biden would have been completely blown out and lost at least 45 states and the rest would have been close.

The trouble, dear Senators, is not in the stars that you are failures and distrusted, it is in YOU because you have betrayed the voters, your constituents; you have lied, you have obfuscated the truth; you have not kept your word.
Now, it is true that some Senators have proved the exception. But betrayal is one of the worst things a person can do to another, and too many of our "leaders" have been unfaithful.
Too many stay too long in DC, and lose touch with the home front, caught up in the glitz and grandeur and self-importance nurtured by all the attention they get.
The unexamined life is not worth living, as Socrates wisely said.

This is exactly the sort of insanity that caused me to leave the Republi-Can't Party and become an independent conservative after watching the Republi-Can'ts stab President Trump in the back over and over again when the election truly was stolen from him. And I had been a Republican for almost all of my 65 years on this earth!!!!
A political party without the cajónes to fight injustice at the cost of this once-great republic needs to just die!!!!!
Anyone else notice that the only Senators in this editorial hit piece are the normal RINO's (like John Cornyn and Piere Delecto) who hate everything conservatives stand for. Everyone else "quoted" is "anonymous."

I believe the 2020 election was stolen, and all the other elections are fixed. The internet has allowed people to realize there are a lot of other people that feel the same way. The world is becoming closer, and more transparent. All those cameras and listening devices may allow the government to watch and listen to us, but we can watch and listen to them also, and we are realizing they are all corrupt losers. We need a better election process, and a better method of selecting candidates, because we are getting the worst of the bunch, not the best.

Romney’s being challenged. Murkowski needed a forty horse hitch and millions of RNC funds that could have been used in other closes races. Mitch and his houseboy Thune made it clear they’d rather lose the Senate than Help populist conservative candidates selected by Trump. And whatever you do, don’t ask about dominion voting machines. They thought they could wait us out.

The main premise of their argument is that the truth will cause them election difficulties because they can not accept the truth that our government is corrupt to the core and they have become part of the problem. My advice is to step aside and let non-squishy people run for your office.

"The 2020 election was not stolen," is one lie, that no matter how many times the Media and politicians say it, will not be accepted as truth.
The Big Lie won't work this time.

We used to call "conservative populism" simply having a moral compass. You know, comprising beliefs like absolute right/wrong boundaries (e.g., murder is always murder), stealing is always theft, a lie is always a lie, etc.
Now, it's the antithesis of the democrat party platform...and is why the RINOs like Murkowski have come out of the RINO closet.

There's a remedy to their fear. Start being more conservative, and yes, the 2020 election was stolen using fraud. No one in their right mind believes Biteme received 81 million actual votes to win. There are examples of fraud being committed and election laws being ignored up the yazoo.

The motive to cheat is unfortunately all too human. In 2020, the means to cheat with unprecedented mail-in ballots, unpurged voter rolls, and ballot harvesting provided the means. The cover of COVID emergency orders provided the opportunity. So why is it radical to be suspicious? Would Democrats cheat if they could, or does their well-known, historically overarching commitment to honesty and fairness constrain them?
