People are starting to realize why the people who control Ron DeSantis could not launch their 2024 election bid from Florida.
Despite Ron DeSantis being a Florida native and current governor, President Trump is leading him 50% to 30% in state-wide polling. Regionally and within the demographics of the poll, things look even worse. [Article Here] (snip) “Turning to income levels, Trump leads with all except for those respondents making $200,000 or more a year. With that group, DeSantis leads 39% to 25%.” (read more)

If you want a good indication that conservatives are, at long last, scoring a few actual victories these days, look at the apoplexy it’s causing those on the left.
A prime example is a piece written by Jill Lawrence, a former editor at USA Today, which posted on July 4 on MSNBC and carried the scary title: “Seeing the erosion of our freedoms makes it hard to celebrate this Fourth of July.” It is a remarkable display of fearmongering, incoherence, and illogic.
“The Supreme Court, conservative governors and gerrymandered state legislatures are racing to shrink fundamental rights and freedoms,” Lawrence writes. “The result is that tens of millions of Americans

A fugitive who claimed to have provided the FBI with information on the Biden family’s business dealings in China is facing decades behind bars for alleged arms trafficking and other charges involving Iran. Gal Luft, a 57-year-old dual U.S.-Israeli citizen, is charged with acting as an unregistered agent of China and seeking to broker the sale of Iranian oil in violation of sanctions, federal prosecutors in Manhattan said on Monday.
The indictment also accuses Luft of recruiting and paying a former high-ranking U.S. government official on behalf of principals based in China in 2016, without registering as a foreign agent as required by law.

Seven times before law enforcement found cocaine smuggled into the White House, President Joe Biden promised to restore “integrity” and “decency” to the presidency.
Over the July 4th weekend, officials discovered cocaine stashed in the White House. The Secret Service has yet to reveal its findings of who smuggled the white powdery drug into one of the most secure buildings in the world. And the White House refuses to provide much insight into the growing scandal. The White House press team refuses to say whether or not the cocaine belonged to Joe or Hunter Biden, citing campaign law.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf is a central figure in the investigation into Hunter Biden and is alleged to have stymied investigators and aided the Biden family.
Wolf is the subject of a letter Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, sent to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware, David Weiss, on Sunday. Wolf worked directly beneath Weiss on the Department of Justice and IRS probe into Biden’s overseas business dealings and tax affairs. In addition to other allegations about Wolf’s role in the probe, Grassley’s letter revealed an October 2020 briefing that Wolf allegedly received from the Department of Justice and FBI.

Former President Donald Trump ripped into Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds Monday over her decision to stay 'neutral' in the 2024 Republican primary - yet will appear on the campaign trail with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his wife Casey.
Trump took to Truth social to air his grievances, pointing out how he had endorsed Reynolds during her 2018 gubernatorial run - crediting himself for her ascent - only to have her appear in photo-ops with his political rivals.
Most recently, Reynolds tagged along Thursday when Casey DeSantis launched her 'Mamas for DeSantis' group outside of Des Moines, amid reports that the Iowa governor is over Trump.

The Justice Department briefed federal prosecutors and agents on the team investigating Hunter Biden on a key FBI document containing allegations of a criminal bribery scheme involving Joe Biden in October 2020, but did not invite IRS agents to that briefing, Sen. Chuck Grassley charged.
That accusation was leveled just weeks after IRS whistleblowers alleged that the entire federal investigation into Hunter Biden's business dealings was influenced by politics.
The document in question is an FBI-generated FD-1023 form. The form, dated June 30, 2020, reflects the FBI's interview with a "highly credible" confidential source who detailed multiple meetings and conversations

House Republicans will finally get a chance to press FBI Director Chris Wray for answers they’ve spent months seeking.
Wray’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday will mark his first appearance at a public hearing since former special counsel John Durham released findings of widespread FBI misconduct in the Russia investigation. It’ll also be his first since multiple whistleblowers from the IRS and FBI have come forward with descriptions of the preferential treatment offered to Hunter Biden.Wray’s FBI has come under fire for everything from political probes to religious liberty infringements.
Facing scrutiny from GOP lawmakers that has included calls for his removal, Wray will come under enormous pressure

Honduran drug dealers have made a business hub out of San Francisco due to the progressive city’s sanctuary laws for illegal immigration, fueling the nation’s fentanyl epidemic and the visible decline of a major American city.
San Francisco’s accommodative approach to illegal immigration makes it appealing to sell there, Honduran dealers told the San Francisco Chronicle as part of an in-depth investigation into how Honduran nationals have come to play a dominant role in the city’s drug crisis.
Under current San Francisco law, last amended in July 2016, city employees are forbidden from using city resources to cooperate with any ICE investigation, detention, or arrest relating to an illegal immigration case.

Between the 2012 and 2020 presidential elections, black voters moved six points towards Republicans and Latinos shifted eight. The exception to this trend was Asian American voters, who inched one point towards Democrats over those eight years.
In 2022, this silver lining dulled appreciably. New data from the analytic firm Catalist shows that Democrats struggled with Asian American voters in the midterms. The demographic lurched seven percent towards Republicans in just two years—more than any other major ethnic category. The usual suspects have weighed in on recent belated efforts to enforce U.S. immigration laws.
Our now bankrupt media, the corrupt government of Mexico, and the Diversity/Equity/Inclusion apparat have damned a series of laws recently passed by the Florida legislature and signed by Governor Ron DeSantis that enforce existing federal immigration laws.
Such critics seem oblivious to the current violence that is paralyzing Europe in general, and in particular France—as if such European chaos offers no lessons for the U.S. or any other salad-bowl, open-borders Western nation.
Florida decided no longer to provide de facto and illegal exemptions to foreign nationals who entered and now reside in the state illegally.

Alright, I think I’m convinced that there’s something afoot, and a new article from Axios is cementing my perception. In the piece, which is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster given the predictable attempt to soften what was reported, Joe Biden is described as borderline abusive, and in some of the interactions described, it’s fair to ask if he even crosses that line.Far from the decent, loving human being that the press has long tried to paint Biden as, he’s revealed to be a vulgar, angry man with no sense of boundaries. Boundaries, I might add, that most people would get fired or sued for crossing in the real world.

House Republicans are eyeing stripping the salaries of some of their main targets in the Biden administration as impeachment of these officials remains a divisive topic in the caucus.
The Holman Rule dates back to 1876 and is an obscure legislative power that allows lawmakers to reduce, or even strip the salaries of specific federal employees.
Kevin McCarthy decided before becoming House Speaker earlier this year to reinstate the Holman Rule after it remained dormant under the prior Democratic majority Congress. This sets the stage for top leaders to back the move to strip salaries – and effectively fire – members of Biden's team.

To Todd, the issue was not that the Biden family have shunned to poor little girl that Hunter and the stripper had together, it's Republicans who are the villains of the story in Todd's delusional mind.
"I think we all understand the personal challenge and concern and all of these things that the President has here, but his political foes see this and they're trying to exploit," Todd lashed out

President Joe Biden met and embraced King Charles on Monday after snubbing his coronation in May, and as he faces allegations he is anti-British.
The president received a royal salute at Windsor Castle before talks focusing on climate on the eve of the crunch NATO summit in Lithuania.
A hands-on Biden, 80, grabbed 74-year-old Charles' arm as they shook hands before they walked to the stage for the playing of the Star Spangled Banner. The tactile president also put his hand on the King's back as they did a lap of the Windsor Castle quadrangle to inspect the Welsh Guards.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) is considering signing legislation into law that would allow illegal aliens, enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, to become police officers in the sanctuary state.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the Wagner mercenary chief and his fighters just days after they threatened to topple the country’s military leadership and marched on Moscow, the Kremlin said Monday.
Yevgeny Prigozhin and top commanders at Wagner Group met Putin in the Kremlin on June 29, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said during his daily call with reporters. The meeting lasted nearly three hours, Peskov said, and some 35 people attended.
Prigozhin and other members of Wagner did not comment publicly on the meeting and the Kremlin's version of events couldn't be confirmed.

France is on fire again. For over a week, rioters in urban centers across the country have looted and torched stores, public buildings, and vehicles. French law enforcement has cracked down on the destruction, arresting thousands of the rioters.
The death of Algerian 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk triggered the riots, after police shot him. The corporate media have done their best to stress that Merzouk was a generally good kid who didn’t have a criminal record, liked to play rugby, and was studying to become an electrician. Yet he attended a school for troubled kids.

33 Latin American and Caribbean heads of States (from CELAC group) will travel to Brussels for the 17-18 July Summit with the 27 United Europe members.
But the historical upcoming CELAC-EU summit is facing an unexpected amount of discord over a range of issues, most notably the stance on the war on Ukraine.
That the two groups are not seeing eye-to-eye in this issue has become clear after the dispute over the attendance of Ukraine’s President Zelensky, who was invited by Spain, only to be ‘uninvited’ after heavy pushback from Latin American leaders.

On July 8th, New York Times columnist David French, strained to apply a human face on Trump supporters, but I don't think I am giving him too much credit when I infer a connection to Biden's vicious attack on Pres. Trump and MAGA Republicans of September 1, 2022. The writer summed the Trump years (from 2015 to the present) this way: "Everything is normal until, suddenly, it's not."
Early in his Philadelphia remarks, Biden said:

Many factors have contributed to the downfall of America’s schools. One rarely discussed issue is the disproportionate praise heaped on the teaching industry, which has led teachers to believe the scope of their influence ought to extend beyond the teaching of facts and figures. As a society, we have praised teachers to the extent that even mild criticism of the profession is met with a chorus of boos. “My sister is a teacher!”
When discussing widespread problems in the profession, instead of presenting an actual argument, those who reflexively defend the industry will often mention having friends or relatives who are teachers, as if this anecdotal tidbit is a meaningful response.

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is trying to put one over on America.
In her dissent from the high court’s long-overdue ruling against racial preferences in college admissions, she cited an utterly bogus statistic. For high-risk Black newborns, having a Black physician more than doubles the likelihood that the baby will live,” she wrote in rationalizing Harvard’s bigotry against Asian-American applicants.
Yet that black-infant mortality number is obvious bunk.
If it were true, it would mean thousands of black infants dying every year thanks to white doctors’ secret racism.
But the actual survival rates are 99.55% for black infants, 99.68% for white ones.

Of late, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) have come under fire from nearly all corners of Congress. More than fifteen legislative proposals have been filed on changing the way PBMs operate, while six committees in Congress have convened hearings on the topic. Will all this attention lead to a good outcome for patients and taxpayers, many of whom have never even heard of the term “PBM”? It’s possible, but only if Congress takes care to enact free market reforms that boost visibility on PBMs’ pricing practices, rather than tipping the scales in favor of heavy-handed government regulators.

“The result

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s government abruptly collapsed on Friday amid infighting over migration policy. Rutte, who’s led the Netherlands since 2010, effectively brought his fourth administration to an end after he gave his coalition partners an ultimatum to limit the right to family reunions for refugees from war zones.
The coalition partners — Rutte’s VVD, the Christian Democrats, progressive D66 and the smaller Christian Union — had been in talks over asylum policy for weeks. Though they were close to a deal, the conflict escalated Wednesday when Rutte abruptly introduced non-negotiable demands. The troubles snowballed from there.

Native American groups are now joining the call for reparations centuries after hundreds of tribes had land taken from them by 'land-grab universities and colleges.'
An estimated 10.7 million acres of land was taken from 250 tribes following the signing of the Morrill Act by President Abraham Lincoln in 1862.
This law converted tribal lands into initial sites for land-grant higher education institutions in many states. Institutions such as the University of Minnesota, which received 94,440 acres of land, and Cornell University in New York that received more than 987,000 acres are being targeted. Cornell, in total, received land in 15 states -

Wisconsin’s governor, Tony Evers, signed off on a two-year spending plan on Wednesday after gutting a Republican tax cut and using his broad veto powers to increase school funding for centuries.
Evers angered Republicans with both moves, with some saying the Democratic governor was going back on deals he had made with them.
Wisconsin governors have broad partial veto power and Evers got creative with his use of it in this budget, which is the third passed by a Republican legislature that he’s signed.

New York's deadly storm has killed at least one person after a woman in her mid-30s was swept away in her house while trying to save her dog amid biblical flash flooding.
Search parties desperately helped stranded families throughout the night as the severe deluge caused tens of millions of dollars in damage - washing out people's possessions, ruining local infrastructure, and turning the state into a 'war zone.'
The storm's epicenter, Hudson Valley, New York, received as much as eight inches of rainfall Sunday as multiple cities and counties declared a State of Emergency because of the intense rain.

President Biden sat down for a recent interview in which he said the United States is low on 155 mm artillery ammunition rounds, sparking outrage and questions of competency from conservatives on social media.
During the interview, which aired Sunday morning, Biden defended his administration for sending cluster munitions to Ukraine as a "transition period" until more munitions are produced.

The First Amendment is under assault by the very people entrusted to protect it. The Biden administration and the corporate media removed any doubt about this after a July 4 ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Terry A. Doughty. Evidence revealed during the discovery process in Missouri v. Biden convinced the judge that administration officials illegally pressured social media platforms to censor disfavored views. Doughty issued a 155-page opinion and an injunction prohibiting federal officials from “pressuring or coercing social-media companies in any manner to remove, delete, suppress, or reduce posted content of postings containing protected free speech.”

I don’t regularly follow the comedy duo Key & Peele, so I only now caught up with a comedy sketch entitled “Mother Majesty Empowers The Women of Tomorrow,” which premiered roughly ten years ago. It shocked me, not because it’s vulgar (which it is) but because it's prophetic. It shows how the female “empowerment” message from the left is, in fact, deadly for women and benefits only men. It was also prophetic insofar as it ties in with the new “Miss” Netherlands and Dylan Mulvaney.
There’s nothing that kills a joke more than explaining it, so here’s the video for you to watch.

RedState has reported on the reception from legacy Hollywood and the Left on the unexpected box office smash Sound of Freedom, starring Passion of The Christ‘s Jim Caviezel. Caviezel portrays Tim Ballard, a federal agent who rescues a boy from captivity in South America, only to discover that his sister has been left behind. The rest of the film focuses on the mission to get her out of the country. This journey leads Ballard to found Operation Underground Railroad, which works to rescue children from human trafficking across the globe.
One reason the Left is having conniption fits is because the film is building not only awareness about child trafficking
