The Liberal Media Need Shock Treatment

Original Article

We hear it all the time and it’s true: “How would the liberal media be treating this story if it was a RepublicanDemocrat?” The IRS whistleblowers in the Hunter Biden matter are ignored by the liberal media. Biden steals thousands of classified documents -- without the authority to declassify them -- when he was a senator and vice-president and the story disappears. FBI insiders bravely reveal the blatant pro-Democratic bias of the organization and their testimony is sloughed off. Joe Biden commits one embarrassing verbal gaffe after another, demonstrating an unarguable diminution of mental acuity,

Like the writer I have no idea how to hold the biased media to account. I do think that “liberal” is not the appropriate adjective to modify “media.” The media is not liberal nor is the Democrat Party the media serve.

Conservative journalists (such as they are) run a constant risk of being deprived of their livelihood. So do Deep State whistleblowers. The stranglehold the Left has achieved on the popular culture, values and institutions makes it impossible to visit the same fate on the real perps. Just today there is a report of 40% students at Brown identifying as or with the LGBTQ... etc. crowd, Just a few years ago there were only 2%. How did the 38% pop like mushrooms overnight? This rot starts right at home. The way we raise our children. The way we reward and punish or ignore them. I don't think we have even begun to understand the magnitude and severity of the crisis our culture is facing.

Heh. I remember in Billy Wilder's "One, Two, Three" Otto Ludwig Piffl remarked that "the situation is hopeless, but not serious." The MSM exists in its own echo chamber. Circulation, subscriptions and viewership are abysmal. They'll all losing money hand over fist. They're getting hit hard, but they could stand to be hit harder. They ignore stories that don't fit with their agenda. Ignore them back. Starve the beast. Protest, harass and ridicule the MSM at every opportunity. Demand and support investigations into government/media collusion and First Amendment censorship. Support alternative media, especially investigative journalism.

"unless specific reporters can be individually humiliated and made to feel distinct personal embarrassment, they will never change their behavior" Like Trump did so VERY effectively? The crash and burn of CNN can be attributed to Trump calling them out. MSNBC also took a big hit. As to coverage of their embarrassment, the media did that to themselves because they WHINED incessantly about it. Trump is just a big meanie! Unfortunately for them, they sounded like immature idiots when doing it. Then, to get back at Trump they went on the attack, and sounded like morons. The media cheered when Trump was cheated out of a second term but they never really recovered. They are going to be hysterical if Trump wins in 2024. If you think things were bad before, in 2024 they will stop at nothing to stop Trump. But in throwing caution to the winds they will hang themselves. Their bad behavior will be SO blatant that they will not be able to make viable excuses for themselves. Maybe they should have a chat with Disney or Bud Light about the consequences of blatant repulsive behavior. Media is a business and not immune to public censure.

I love “Community Notes,” Twitter’s crowdsourced fact-checking and context-adding feature that has repeatedly busted politicians in their false or misleading claims. On Thursday, they were at it again, nailing FBI Director Chris Wray, whose agency tweeted Thursday that “The FBI is not and has never been in the business of policing or investigating speech by parents at school board meetings…”Community Notes begs to differ, and they added a little “context” to Wray’s claim: The FBI’s statement is misleading. On May 18, 2023, former FBI agent Steve Friend testified before the House Judiciary Committee that he and others were directed to surveil and document parents

Former Disney executive Ike Perlmutter has signaled his intention to financial back Donald Trump in the GOP presidential primary, making him one of the richest donors behind the former president this time around. A spokesman for Perlmutter, whose net worth is estimated at $3.9 billion, told CNBC that the businessman plans a 'meaningful' contribution to Trump's presidential campaign. The billionaire has not yet decided how much to donate, and his spokesman was unable to immediately offer further details when reached by DailyMail.com on Thursday night.

In a not a so-surprising revelation following a Secret Service briefing on Thursday, Republican Representative Lauren Boebert announced that cocaine discovered at the White House on July 2 was not the first incident of drugs found at Biden’s White House, citing two other instances within the last year. The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that Secret Service had announced the conclusion of its investigation into the recent cocaine discovery at the White House. Despite having narrowed down a list of 500 potential individuals, no suspects have been officially identified. Interestingly, the investigation has ended without administering drug tests to these individuals, a decision that has sparked further controversy and calls for transparency.

President Joe Biden on Thursday issued an executive order authorizing the Pentagon to call reservists to active duty “for the effective conduct” of U.S. military support to Ukraine. At the same time, the Pentagon designated the U.S. military support to Ukraine since 2014 under Operation Atlantic Resolve a “contingency operation.”Biden wrote in a message to Congress: By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 121 and 12304 of title 10, United States Code, I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for

Few places along our 2,000-mile southern border with Mexico more perfectly illustrate America's utterly dysfunctional immigration policy than a remote, private pecan farm in Eagle Pass, Texas. At this sprawling ranch - owned by Hugo and Magaly Urbina – on the banks of the Rio Grande, President Joe Biden's federal Border Patrol agents are locked in a bizarre daily struggle with Texas Governor Greg Abbott's Department of Public Safety (DPS). Under a simple white tent on the farm, U.S. Border Patrol agents are processing illegal migrants and then transporting them by bus to a nearby brick-and-mortar facility.

Prosecutorial overreach is not uncommon in high-profile cases. The prosecutors pile on the charges to frighten defendants with the prospect of long prison terms so they plead out. The state also hopes to throw enough charges against the wall to see what sticks. But the danger of overreach is that a judge may want to smack a prosecutor down for bringing unnecessary charges. Such is the case in the January 6 prosecutions. One of the rioters, Edward Lang, is facing 11 charges and pleaded not guilty to all of them. But a district court judge threw out the charges relating to “obstruction of an official proceeding” concerning Lang

Due to the lack of a solid suspect, the agency is closing its investigation. Katie had more on this yesterday. She included the statement from the Secret Service:
