This past May 1 was a typical day on the New York City subways. Commuters and tourists were transiting beneath the chaos of overhead Manhattan, only to witness New York’s subterranean version of Dante’s Inferno.
Specifically, a homeless man, now euphemistically called an “urban camper” or “displaced person,” was harassing fellow subway passengers. The Guardian went further in their descriptors, calling Neely “a talented dancer” who was “remembered as kind and loving” and even “had a fan club.”
Neely also had a long rap sheet, a fact conveniently overlooked by most media sympathizers.
I can’t do that. If I see someone in distress I just have to go to their assistance. Guess that makes me one of those “awful Christians!” So be it. But I sure will understand if a white man just stands there protecting himself.
What a mess our society has become.

See one of these stories in your local press and it's a sign for you to pack up and flee that city, maybe even the state.
Why wait until you become the story.

Ever seen those videos of people who are reacting to similar situations on the Subways of China? They all move as far away from the affected person as possible because they are afraid they will be sued or some other terrible legal thing will happen to them. If someone is in real distress they are on their own cuz no one wants to take a chance.

#1, I can't just sit by either. And I haven't sat by a few times. (Not as violent or dramatic as the article. )
The point is, I gotta sleep at night, even from a jail cell if that's how it goes.

When your government is mismanaged, no one is safe. How is it possible that a mentally ill criminal with a long rap sheet was able to enter a subway car, announce his intent to kill everyone, and tell his intended victims he was willing to die? Why was he free to threaten anyone, given his history of physical violence, even against the elderly? Who dropped the ball? Why was being on the street even an option???
At 6 foot two inches tall, but still smaller than the perp, Daniel Penny stepped up to subdue the out of control passenger, with help from other passengers. Why is this former marine, who tried to protect others being prosecuted and persecuted because the perp died while he was restrained? Was there something wrong with HOW he was restrained, or was death related to some other health or drug issue that wasn't being addressed? It was the perp who announced he intended to kill everyone. Since when are Americans obligated to stand by when someone is prepared to "kill everyone?"

The most distressing thing to me is that our beloved country is under attack by the mentally deranged, thieves, thugs & users in high & low places. They are trying to suck her dry & kill her. She desperately needs urgent help from the good people that she has succored for all of their lives. I hope, pray & believe that there are still “more of us than them”. Will we band together & organize efforts to save her life despite the potential personal cost? Will we end up on videos like those mentioned by #3?
God has given a remedy - 2 Chronicles 7:14. Will we open our eyes & heed it, before this evil succeeds and kills her? Will “all good men come to the aid of their country”? Now is certainly the time!
How many more individuals who tried to do right have to suffer because of it, before WTP decide to stand with them? Evil has an increasing number of defenders these days.
I know there are many of us that are old and relatively frail, but prayer and moral support is a vital & powerful weapon against evil too. It must come before success in any physical battle. May we all join together in that & may God hear our cries from heaven & heal our land.

I remember getting jumped by 4 thugs once when I delivered newspapers. Yelled for help and three strangers came to my rescue. One had a chain wrapped around his fist. Another had a foot long wrench. The thugs ran. I also fought back, and they got nothing. After that, I was armed when delivering newspapers. Same thugs mugged another paperboy. He fought back. He recognized one of the thugs. The paperboy and his mother showed up at that thug's home. Mom was armed with a baseball bat. She made it very clear things would go very bad for the thugs if they kept trying to rob people. That paperboy had 6 brothers all bigger than him. It was no idle threat. My dad ran a convenience store. Kept a crowbar under the counter. He also mentioned a gun if anyone tried sizing him up. His response, "I have a gun. Don't need the police to handle you". The thugs left him alone. He could handle any drunk. He'd just point them towards a bar. It was the people that were high that couldn't be reasoned with. When that happened, he defended himself.
The point is people have a right to defend themselves. Government has no business taking that right away from people. The thug got killed? It was inevitable. He should have known better. He should have got help from that government rather than being allowed to roam the subways. He was a danger to others, but mostly a danger to himself. Keep looking for fights and someone will eventually kill you.
