If the Drudge Report leak (see Peter Barry Chowka’s coverage of it here) about the new lineup at Fox News is correct, the network is stumbling very badly. Sticking with its existing talent (moving Hannity to Tucker’s old time slot) will not appease viewers angry over Tucker’s firing. The former viewers have made it clear that Hannity will not win them back. Megyn Kelly made this point and more on her popular podcast. Transcript via Grabien: Kelly: “Breaking news. Drudge Report is reporting right now that they have decided on what to do about their hemorrhaging 8:00 PM hour formerly occupied by Tucker Carlson.

What is the Drudge Report, and who is Sean Hannity?

I read they are thinking of moving Laura from prime time. She is the only one they have right now who is worth listening to! Fox has imploded on itself. Sad.

I got to the point where I couldn't stand Hannity anymore. Almost every show he had to emphasize that he wasn't criticizing the hard working everyday agents at the FBI, it was just the top brass he didn't like. Well, guess who executed all the mayhem, Sean! It wasn't just the top brass!

Why don't they give Sean a co-host. Oh I dunno - maybe Ainsley Earnhardt who is a complete ditz. NO to Sean and I haven't watched him in over a decade. Gutfeld - he's okay but do not understand the appeal of Kat Timpf. Fox is really going down the drain.

What's the point? As soon as any new person goes against the WEF line, they'll be fired, too. No, Fox has shown who they are--who could support them now?

When they got rid of Tucker because he was making the Murdochs and Chuck Schumer uncomfortable you have to assume that the rest of their talent are not doing that so they get to remain on the payroll. Reason enough to never trust any of them again.

I have not heard Hannity defend FBI field agents for awhile. Did he reform, or have I missed his recent comments about the bureau?

Nothing will replace Tucker except Tucker's return. To their credit, Fox has a better overall group of people than any other network but would benefit by dropping the deadbeats like Geraldo and Juan. Jimmy Failla is getting better all the time. Hannity will always be Hannity. Still won't watch after their big insult to the viewers.

My wife leaves the Fox News channel running all day on the big television, and I really don't like that because I can't stand to watch Neil Cavuto and she really isn't watching him either. That means the occasional popular program by someone like Greg Gutfeld or The Five will boost the ratings of the rest of the programming.

As if Hannity wasn't already annoying enough, the live-audience pep-rally shows are a joke. In the beginning, the novelty of attractive, intelligent, and congenial females (Heather Nauert, Trish Regan, Patty Ann Browne, Laurie Dhue, Linda Vester, et al) was appealing. These days, only ditzy blondes need apply. Nothing to add beyond their coiffure. (The one exception: Sandra Smith.)

No, they need to bring back a number of people they fired over the last ten years and let them report freely.

How I wish my cable provider, Spectrum, would carry Newsmax or OANN. There is nowhere else to go to see actual news with a slight conservative bent.

We haven't watched Fox since the night they called Arizona for Biden. Then we got rid of cable and took a lot of garbage out of the house.

Fox needs to face the fact that it is a lot more than Tucker Carlson. I have lost faith in the content of Fox News, which is censored and mellowed down to appease the left. I like the straight up truth. Don't waste my time with narrative.

#14 Our cable provider is Spectrum also, but we do get Newsmax, but not OAN. Interesting, I wonder why?

If Fox is attempting to pander/appease the left and bring them in as new viewers, I don't think that play will be successful for them. I have lost count of the lefties in my community who submit letters to my local paper and begin their letters by mocking "those stupid and ignorant Fox viewers who only tune in because Fox tells them only what they want to hear". IOW Fox viewers are afraid of "THE TRUTH". These people are part of the Maddow/Reid cult; It'll be a very long time if ever that they tune into Fox.

#14 lives about twenty miles north of me. (I'm in northern Pinellas County.) Same as #18, Spectrum is also my cable provider. OANN is not available, but Newsmax is. Sunday Morning with Maria Bartiromo is all I watch on Fox. Now I mostly watch Newsmax.

I didn't often agree with Tucker and his contrarian views. Nor did I think much of his guests. But his show was almost always interesting. Even the space aliens.
And I miss it.
As for the rest of the primetime crew...Hannity, Watters, Laura, Gutfeld...none are worth my time. Except for Kat Timpf... funny and sexy. Wish Fox would give her her own show.

Instead of parking that huge Megan Kelly quote and video at the top of this article, Lifson could have made better use of bandwidth by just putting in a link to the interview of Roger Ailes' widow, Elizabeth with Eric Bolling last night. Lucky for you, it will air again tonight. (If you really do miss Rush as I do, there's a great candid photo of Mr. and Mrs. Ailes with Rush on the Newsmax site.)
