Sixty-seven congregations in Arkansas have officially disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church, being part of a wave of departures driven largely by the mainline Protestant denomination’s ongoing debate over LGBT issues. (snip) According to the UMC Book of Discipline, the Church prohibits the blessing of same-sex unions and bars the ordination of individuals who are in same-sex romantic relationships.
Nevertheless, many theologically progressive leaders within the UMC have actively refused to follow or enforce these rules, prompting many theological conservatives to seek dismissal.

"..arguing that it had a right to leave the denomination with its church property."
another way the WEF is dismantling OUR churches..

This is pretty simple. If your congregation holds to God's written word, then you must leave the UMC. If your congregation holds to modern worldly morality or lack of it, then by all means stay.

We are clearly in the Laodicean days of the church history. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Read God's word and obey it, you won't be disappointed. We have failed as a testimony, repent and seek God's grace to go on until He comes.

My sister and I left the Methodist church that we grew up in and the church where my mother was the organist for 28 years because of all leftist BS in sermons and the hiring of a LBQTUXYZ minister who would go off into leftist tangents at the drop of a hat. We've gone to a Methodist church that is more traditional.

Those that adhere to the word of God understand that homosexuality is not accepted by God. I was not put on Earth to judge other people but God’s word prevails. Churches that embrace a clearly forbidden lifestyle are not churches. They are gathering places for the woke.

Why do liberals always have to have your thing? Why don’t they just start their own thing. They are parasites that need to feed off its host.

I leff the UMC when they first supported the World Council of Churches with the Eliam Gonzalez nightmare. Still don't miss them. They have only gotten wors.

Good for those churches who prefer to honor God and obey Him rather than be Churchians seeking worldly approval. I disagree with #1, because I think this is all part of the spiritual awakening predicted in the NT. There is going to be a mega splitting of Godly vs worldly coming. I actually believe though that it is starting already.

Homosexuality is a front! The UMC does not believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for our sins! NO Jesus means NO sin, so a free for all! GEEZE!

I left the UMC in 1978. The minister's sermons were the jokes from Readers Digest and John Denver songs. Definitely not Christ-centered.
I had joined Amway and my sponsor's sponsor led me to a Bible-believing Bible-preaching Church.
I interrupted his life in 2008 to thank him for directing me to my eternal salvation. Earlier this year, this man entered glory. PTL

The reason we have so many Christian churches is that too many Christians think God's word should "evolve" with the secular world.

The Bible based PCA, Presbyterian Church of America, split away from the woke, non-biblical PCUSA, Presbyterian Church (USA) years ago for the same reason.

My mother and I left our Presbyterian Church when they joined PCUSA. PCUSA was known to be liberal but I didn’t realize how far left they were until I started getting their magazine. Pure socialist/communist. Now, the UMC has gone down that path. Our area bishops stopped the voting because too many were disaffiliating so they effectively refused to let us vote to leave. The church has now split with with members leaving. Some have formed another Methodist church and some have joined other more traditional Protestant churches. The left is pure evil and ruins everything that it touches.. We will be joining a non-PCUSA Presbyterian Church here.
