Michelin is recalling more than 542,000 light truck tires in the U.S. because they don't have enough traction to work in all snowy conditions.
The recall covers certain Agilis CrossClimate C-Metric tires that Michelin says don't meet U.S. safety standards.
The tire maker says in documents posted Thursday by safety regulators that tires, which were first sold in the United States and Canada in 2018, without sufficient traction can increase the risk of a crash.

Epps made the remarks in an interview that aired Sunday night on CBS News’ “60 Minutes.”“Brings back some bad memories,” Epps said when asked what he thinks when he looks at video of the riot. “It’s hard to see our Capitol under attack.”
The show then highlighted how conservative media and Republican lawmakers have called into question Epps’ role in the riot.

WASHINGTON—President Joe Biden is expected to tap Julie Rodriguez, a senior White House adviser, to manage his reelection campaign, a person familiar with deliberations on the matter said Sunday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because Rodriguez’s appointment has not been finalized and Biden has yet to formally launch his reelection campaign. CBS News was first to report that Biden has decided to pick Rodriguez.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy demanded President Biden return to the negotiating table for debt ceiling negotiations, as talks remain stalled over key spending cuts and a potential increase to the ceiling overall. NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell is departing the company following an investigation into misconduct, which involved an “inappropriate relationship.”
Comcast and Shell jointly announced the news Sunday in a statement that noted the two “have mutually agreed” on the decision. Shell will depart effective immediately. A coroner has determined that a 32-year-old “healthy” British doctor died from a cerebral blood clot caused by a reaction to the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
Dr. Stephen Wright passed away in January 2021 — just ten days after receiving his first dose of the vaccine.
His wife, Charlotte Wright, is trying to get the cause of death changed from “natural causes” on his death certificate. She has also filed a lawsuit against the pharmaceutical company and dozens of people.
Senior Coroner Andrew Harris explained in a court hearing that Wright’s death was caused by a brainstem infarction, bleed on the brain, and “vaccine-induced thrombosis.”
An Arizona judge has rejected state Attorney General Kris Mayes’s attempt to terminate an agreement between Cochise County and the county recorder in a Thursday ruling.
The agreement, which was drafted in February 2023, permits the Cochise County’s recorder to be granted control over “almost all of the powers and duties of the election conferred by statute upon the Cochise County Board of Supervisors,” the document states.
After the initial agreement was written, Mayes filed a lawsuit in March on behalf of Arizona against the three Cochise County supervisors and the county recorder, citing that the agreement violates the Arizona Constitution and Arizona law, according to the documents filed.

I’m not sure why it’s happening -- perhaps it’s a backlash from the most obnoxious of the feminists and their conduct or the widespread denigration of and discrimination against white heterosexual men, but there’s no doubt in my mind that there’s a concerted attack by the culture warriors to erase women, denigrate them, and allow them only symbolic powers -- like choosing the moronic Kamala Harris as vice president instead of someone with a demonstrated and earned record of competence. How long has it been since we’ve seen women we looked up to, like Golda Meier and Maggie Thatcher, wielding political power?
