Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch issued a statement Monday defending the brand’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Mulvaney, a biological male who identifies as transgender, posted several videos on Saturday advertising Bud Light after the company sent Mulvaney packs of beer, including a customized can with Mulvaney’s face on it, to celebrate one year since Mulvaney’s transition. “Anheuser-Busch works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics and passion points. From time to time, we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Dylan Mulvaney.

So what. I stopped drinking all their products many years ago, as did everyone else I know. Maybe they will have bestiality labels involving their horses next. Whatever sells their "beer".

They'd do better with almost anyone else in the current atmosphere. Do they support that school shooting? A lot of transgender talking heads seem to.

When Gillette took on the "Toxic Masculinity" adds I threw out all of my Gillette shaving items as I will not support a woke enterprise.
Sadly, I am unable to do the same with Bud Light. I have none of their product to discard. Tried the stuff years ago, and the first bottle I bought was also the last. Their rank taste is not at all like the real beer such as Fosters, Guinness, St, Pauli Girl and Labatts.
Not a smart move to identify with the mentally ill segment of the population.

The marketing/advertising gurus at A/B need to have their heads examined. The Dylan Mulvaneys of the world don’t drink beer, they drink wine spritzers.

Not only am I not a drinker I am not a champion of putting mentally ill people on display to push a product, any product. For some reason it appears that the best woman for the job is a homosexual male, disguised as a tranny, getting his jollies by wearing panties, giggling and putting on makeup. It appears that Dylan is not the only loon in this scenario. Celebrating "womanhood" with a beer and male genitalia? I don't think so. It used to be called abnormal.

The funniest part? I’m betting they have million of those cans in a warehouse, all full of beer. They’ll have to eat it all… and they’ll still lose 4/5s of their business. I keep it at my house because my neighbor loves it. Dumped it down the sink today. He’ll have to drink Coors Light.

Wait about three months and take a look at their sales, that will tell you if their decision to partner with the transgender individual was right or wrong! Remember when you get to the bottom line they are in business to sell beer.

This is actually much, much worse than the trans idiocy. There's a real world legal component.
Bonchie pointed out in an earlier thread (but missed the real world problem)...
"In the case of Mulvaney, though, the spectacle is even worse because he identifies as an underage girl. How do these major corporations..."
All 50 states have regulatory agencies that usually use the police powers of the state to regulate all aspects of the alcohol business including marketing for the health, safety, and welfare of their citizens. The legal age for sales and service (but usually not consumption) is 21 and up.
Anhauser Busch Inbev, perhaps the largest purveyor of alcoholic beverages in the United States, is very publicly marketing their beer using an influencer who presents to the public (including children) on social media as someone under the age of 21, perhaps as young as a 'tween. Name one alcoholic beverage campaign with the suggestion of children in it. Where exactly was ABInbev's General Counsel or regulatory compliance department during the development of this American beer marketing stunt?

We had 15 cans of Budweiser in the fridge. We poured them all down the sink this morning.
My husband also informed them in no uncertain terms that we would never buy another drop of their woke swill again.
Go woke, burn in Hades as far as I'm concerned!!!!!

Anheuser-Busch used to make a little money for investors. Kiss those days goodbye. Sometime in the 1970s the company changed its Budweiser production process from 30 days to less than a week by replacing the natural fermentation process with a chemically induced process. It has been horse pi$$ ever since. Bud Light is like drinking river water.

Anheuser-Busch is no longer an American company. They sold out to InBev SA/NV from Belgium. Coors sold out to Molson from Canada.
Budweister used to have very favorable media presence, but when they came out with the Super Bowl ad which showed America in a poor light, that was it.
This is just another ad that they think will get them media presence, but when you pander to less than 1% of the population, its going to backfire.
