Some of us have been saying this for a very long time: green will bring down the world. Green creates a vicious circle, a term you may remember from Economics 101. It is when the serpent eats itself, no wealth is created and collapse results. That is what we are doing with ESG, with carbon taxes, with the forced adoption of unreliable vertiginously expensive green energy. It has skewed every single market. No one is investing in sound enterprise, and anything once sound is a Jenga tower, unstable, rotting from within. This. This is what threatens to bring down the world.

Not just dense, OP. Also deathly afraid of losing their precious careers by departing from groupthink.

As soon as Georgie Boy Soros and Klaus both keel over, maybe things will improve.

We, the American voters should insist, verbally or otherwise, on fair and legal elections. That will bring PDT back to power. When the locomotive of the US economy starts pulling once more, everything will fall into place.

Our "leaders" do not want to fix our mess. It was intentionally created by those "leaders". Waiting for them to die off is a fool's errand - there will be ever more to fill the void. Your vote is NOT your voice. Your tax dollars are, but as yet, we have no sway with them unless we withhold those dollars. In which case the powers will strip you of all you have. A vicious circle indeed.

Greenies are anti-God and anti-Creation. “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’”—Genesis 1:28. Why would you cede all of that to some Scoldielocks?

At the most fundamental level, energy equals prosperity. When energy is abundant and low cost, production costs are low allowing job creation and greater productivity in the economy. The green movement has adopted an ascetic worldview that believes we can only by cleansed of our sins by starving ourselves of freely available energy in order to be virtuous. This is not science, it is religion.
I am not as pessimistic as the author because I still believe in human innovation and creativity. Advanced generation IV nuclear power using liquid molten salt fuels could safely produce all the electricity the world needs, while burning all the waste produced by the previous generations of reactors and sequestering the CO2 produced by irreplaceable fossil fuels. Genetic editing and synthetic biology can be used to improve food quality and quantity, produce therapies for cancer and a host of devastating genetic diseases, and even extend human lifespans. These changes are coming whether the world's leaders realize it or not.
Hoarding gold as Putin seems to be doing is a stupid, old-world fetish that has nothing to do with the function of sovereign currencies. Fixed asset currencies restrict the available supply of money unnecessarily and lead to stagnation and high borrowing costs. Recognizing that the money supply follows the laws of Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) would free government from the inefficient and destructive political theater of deciding whose donors get the biggest piece of the fiscal pie. It would quickly make the ridiculous spending on political advertising a thing of the past.

The main reason I read this was because I wanted to see what she thought the solution was for our economic problems. As near as I could tell, correct me if I am wrong, it is go back to the policies of the past. Only problem I have with that is that the policies of the past have lead us to where we are today. Those policies applied when our population was at a percentage of what it is today. Everyone must work? Sounds good, but what do you do when you have 100 million able bodied citizens and only 90 million jobs? Are you going to let those 10 million people starve or are you going to take care of them? If you do that, why work? Imagine the issue if your a country like China or India with a billion people.
Consider freedom for a moment. Show me a free society with no checks and balances, and I will show you a dysfunctional corrupt society. There are things you do not do. The more restrictions you put on society, the bigger and more powerful government becomes.
Feel free to tell me I am wrong, and what the author proposes will actually work. The author is definitely sounding the alarm. Her description of our problems are probably 90% accurate. I largely agree with her.

the knowledge and determination to realise them quickly , affordably, and efficiently.

As things get worse, there are people who will feel that they have nothing to lose and act accordingly. Especially those who are financially wiped out by this administration.

Our rulers are so dense that they don't have a clue that destroying everything includes destroying themselves. With their inflated egos they imagine they will rule over the sterile depopulated world which nevertheless will be making all the stuff they want and keeping all the services running.
