Her name is Abigail Zwerner and she’s the elementary school teacher in Virginia who became national news after she was shot by a 6-year-old on January 6. Zwerner was praised after the shooting because, despite being hit in the hand and the chest, she got all 20 of the kids in her class out of the room before leaving herself. She then spent two weeks in the hospital and has had multiple surgeries. Now she’s given her first interview to NBC News which will be aired in full tomorrow morning.[snip] Zwerner is filing a lawsuit later this month against the school system citing failures to respond to warnings

A Washington DC resident excoriated Dr. Anthony Fauci and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser as they went door to door in his Anacostia neighborhood encouraging residents to receive the Covid -19 vaccine
In footage going viral on social media, the DC resident blasts Fauci and the Democrat lawmaker for coercing the public to inject themselves with the Covid “vaccines,” a gene-editing technology that has taken more lives than any vaccine in history and prevents no transmission against the man-made virus.
“The people in America are not settled with the information that’s been given to us right now. So, I’m not going to be lining up, taking a shot or a vaccination for something

The mayor of Miami Beach wants to cancel Spring Break as footage emerged of the moment a man was shot dead on a sidewalk during another wild weekend of partying.
'We haven’t asked for spring break in our city. We don’t want spring break in our city. It’s too rowdy, brings too much disorder and is simply too difficult to police,' said Democratic mayor Dan Gelber.
The chaotic weekend saw two men shot dead and partygoers jumping on a car, brawling in streets and even trashing a slushie shop on the main drag despite the city instituting a curfew on Sunday night.
Footage showed the horrifying moment

Climate war: Green Handouts Shaped SVB Biz
“If government funds it, they will come,” snarks The Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley A. Strassel. “That’s one overlooked story line” in Silicon Valley Bank’s collapse. In recent years, SVB’s clients have “skewed in one direction,” including 1,150 in the climate-tech and sustainability sector. The bank provided services to startups that weren’t profitable and would’ve had a harder time getting loans elsewhere, i.e., “subprime firms” — knowing the federal government was offering “handouts” to such companies. Congress’ $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, for instance, “was a starting gun for a clean-tech frenzy,” making “hundreds of billions” available.

Needless to say, I don’t often write about such things as healthy diets and lifestyles — which is not to say I don’t adhere to both — but when the World Health Organization calls on member governments to pass strict limitations on what I can eat and how much of it, it gets my attention — and should get yours, as well.
Again, my stance, particularly in this case, shouldn’t be confused with opposition to the current culprit in the spotlight: salt. Specifically, excessive consumption of salt. While I agree in principle with the notion, I don’t agree that it’s the job of the federal government to look

Ron DeSantis came out against our current blank check n’ hack cliches Ukraine policy, stating the indisputable truth that Ukraine was not a vital US interest worthy of risking World War III with Russia. The next day he was proven right when a Russian SU-27 knocked a US Reaper drone into the Black Sea. Hey, feeding Russians (and Ukrainians) into a meat grinder is all fun and games until we get dragged into the abattoir too. Of course, all the right people got really mad about it – when Bill Kristol, Adam Kinzinger, David French, Max Boot and Mitt Romney are all for something, you need to be against it.

The Claremont Institute's Center for the American Way of Life on Tuesday unveiled a database to track funding to Black Lives Matter and related organizations. "This online dashboard tracks corporate contributions and pledges to the BLM movement and related causes," the group announced. "BLM and its manifold extensions engineered one of the most successful grifts in American history, to the tune of $82.9 billion." The database is searchable by contributor, recipients, and contributor location. Athletic wear company Adidas gave $120 million to various organizations that promote black and Latino groups. Another top-of-the-list contribution is a $600,000 donation to the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund from 343 Industries, the developers of the hit video CORRECION*

Three years after COVID struck Michigan, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer now admits that many of her early lockdown rules, in retrospect, “don’t make a lot of sense.”
“We had to make some decisions, that in retrospect, don’t make a lot of sense,” Whitmer said in a CNN interview clip posted by the Twitter account @Breaking911.
When COVID struck, Whitmer shuttered much of the state’s economy. Her rules deemed which careers were “essential” and ordered “nonessential” workers to stay home.
Whitmer banned stores larger than 50,000 square feet from selling paint and home-improvement supplies, as well as advertising for “nonessential” goods. Even poperating a motorboat could bring criminal charges, as

Another so-called “conspiracy theory” appears to be coming true — this time, regarding voting and the 2024 elections.
A coalition comprised of more than 50 left-wing organizations — including AARP, the ACLU, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the League of Women Voters, and the NAACP — is pushing the Biden administration to increase voter registration and turnout among new immigrants and those who are currently in federal custody awaiting their trials ahead of the all-important 2024 elections. The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights published a progress report titled “Strengthening Democracy,” in which it calls on federal agencies to “work quickly to do everything they can” to

CNN used misleading data from the Gun Violence Archive to claim Monday “the U.S. has surpassed 100 mass shootings in 2023.”
CNN noted, “America reached the grim number by the first week of March.”
Both CNN and the Gun Violence Archive departed from the standard definition for mass shootings, which the Rand Corporation observed as being derived from the FBI’s 1980s definition of a “mass murderer” of an individual who “kills four or more people in a single incident (not including himself).” But for CNN and the Gun Violence Archive, an incident with no fatalities is still a mass shooting. This means labels like drive-by shootings, gang hits

Two United Airlines planes were involved in a slow-speed collision at Boston Logan International Airport on Monday. It came a week after at the same airport a JetBlue pilot was forced to take 'evasive action' when Learjet 60 crossed the runway when it was preparing to land.
It happened as one airliner was being pushed backwards out of its bay and its right wing fouled on the horizontal stabilizer at the rear of an adjacent plane.
The incident occurred just before 9am and required United Airlines to disembark all passengers so the the two flight could be rescheduled using different aircraft.

Polk County, Florida, Sheriff Grady Judd has built a reputation of straight talk and being tough on crime.
During the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, Grady told homeowners facing looters during the tragedy, “I would highly suggest that if a looter breaks into your home, comes into your home while you’re there to steal stuff, that you take your gun and you shoot him – you shoot him so he looks like grated cheese.”
On the failures of law enforcement to protect children in Uvalde, Texas, Grady said,“If you come to a school in this county, armed, we’re going to do our best through either our guardians, our school
