Billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch has revealed that he is engaged to new girlfriend Ann Lesley Smith, just six months after the pair first met - and less than a year after his divorce from fourth wife Jerry Hall was finalized.
The 92-year-old shared the news in an interview with one of his own publications - the New York Post - this morning, revealing that he popped the question to Smith, 66, with an Asscher-cut diamond solitaire ring, which he 'personally selected'.
Murdoch, who has been married four times previously, admitted that he was 'nervous' about popping the question yet again, confessing that he had 'dreaded falling in love' -

Ron DeSantis attacked 'Soros-funded' prosecutor Alvin Bragg for creating a 'manufactured circus' in his first comments on rumors Donald Trump will be indicted.
The Florida governor made the comments Monday after Trump's inner circle criticized him for staying silent on claims the former president will be arrested in the Stormy Daniels hush money case on Tuesday.
It offers a dilemma to Trump's likely rivals for the Republican 2024 nomination: Do they take the opportunity to bash the former president for his indiscretions, or do they steer clear for fear of alienating the vocal, restless party base?

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, the chamber's No. 2 Democrat, said on Sunday that he will quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, adding to a number of lawmakers from both parties who have been absent from the Senate. "Thankfully, I am fully vaccinated and boosted and only experiencing minor symptoms," Durbin said in a tweet. The Illinois Democrat said he would follow Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, which call for five days of quarantine for those who test positive. Two other Democrats, Senators Dianne Feinstein and John Fetterman, have been absent from the Senate for health reasons. Senate

The mayor of Miami Beach wants to cancel Spring Break as footage emerged of the moment a man was shot dead on a sidewalk during another wild weekend of partying.
'We haven’t asked for spring break in our city. We don’t want spring break in our city. It’s too rowdy, brings too much disorder and is simply too difficult to police,' said Democratic mayor Dan Gelber.
The chaotic weekend saw two men shot dead and partygoers jumping on a car, brawling in streets and even trashing a slushie shop on the main drag despite the city instituting a curfew on Sunday night.

After remaining silent over the weekend, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took shots at the "Soros-funded prosecutor" in Manhattan involved in an ongoing hush money case against former President Donald Trump.
“I have no interest in getting involved in some manufactured circus by some Soros-DA,” DeSantis said at a news conference Monday, referring to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. “He’s trying to do a political spectacle. He’s trying to virtue signal for his base. I’ve got real issues I got to deal with here in the state of Florida.”

The White House press briefing room erupted on Monday after a reporter from an Africa-focused outlet accused press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre of making a “mockery of the First Amendment.”
Jean-Pierre stepped to the briefing room podium followed by the cast of the Apple TV series “Ted Lasso,” who was visiting the White House to meet with President Joe Biden about mental health awareness. Soon after taking the stage, Jean-Pierre was pelted with accusations of discrimination from Today News Africa correspondent Simon Ateba.

Donald Trump has characterized his impending arrest this week as a political vendetta, and has urged his supporters to take to the streets in protest.
I agree with him that it’s a political vendetta, but disagree about taking to the streets.
It is indeed a nakedly political act by the Manhattan District Attorney. Numerous other prosecutors including sophisticated federal prosecutors have reviewed this same evidence, and have declined to pursue this case.
Rightly so. It’s a lousy case. The legal theory is a stretch. Moreover, the prosecution’s fact witnesses are not credible.

Joe Biden’s utter lack of economic knowledge was on full display Saturday and Twitter CEO Elon Musk thoroughly humiliated him in the process.
Biden sent out a tweet claiming that billionaires do not pay their “fair share” in taxes. To resolve this, he demanded a minimum 25% tax rate on billionaires.
Look, I think you should be able to be a billionaire if you can earn it, but just pay your fair share. I think you ought to pay a minimum tax of 25%.
It’s about basic fairness.
As noted by the Blaze, Biden’s tweet also included a graphic containing a message from his

PHOENIX — Gov. Katie Hobbs on Friday forbade all state agencies under her control from discriminating against workers based on their hair texture and style.
In signing the executive order on Friday, Hobbs said she wants to make sure that Black state employees as well as workers for companies that contract with the state "will be able to wear their natural hair without fear of discrimination."
"More importantly is the message this sends to all Black women, men and children that you deserve to be comfortable wearing your natural hair at school and in the workplace without being perceived as unprofessional or suffering other negative consequences," she said.

Three years ago tomorrow, on March 21, 2020, American Thinker published the first nationally-read critical article about Dr. Anthony Fauci (snip) The gist of the article was substantive (snip) On March 24, 2020, POLITICO was the first publication to pile on in “Anthony Fauci becomes a fringe MAGA target:” (snip) Two days later, the Washington Post published the first of four critical articles that referenced – and linked to – my AT blog. Also weighing in were the New York Times (two articles including one of them on page 1A), New York Magazine, Vanity Fair, Buzzfeed, and a large number of other left of center MSM outlets

Former President Donald Trump's closest supporters are raging against his likely 2024 rival, Ron DeSantis, after the Florida governor broke his silence to deliver what they believed to be milquetoast remarks ahead of Trump's likely indictment by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office later this week. Speaking at a news conference Monday, DeSantis stressed he had yet to hear any facts about Trump's potential arrest over his role in a scheme to pay off former sexual partners for their silence in the heat of the 2016 election cycle—an alleged violation of New York campaign finance laws.
He then accused the prosecutor, Alvin Bragg, of being backed by liberal megadonor

Stunningly, the Polish Ambassador to France Jan Emeryk Rościszewski said yesterday: “Either Ukraine will defend its independence today, or we will be forced to enter into this conflict,” sending a clear message that NATO will enter the war against Russia if Ukraine loses ground.
Rościszewski essentially said the quiet part out loud, and that public statement immediately caused the NATO allies to recoil. The EU NATO allies were not recoiling due to the substance of what he said, but rather because he said it publicly. Keep in mind, Jan Emeryk Rościszewski has been Poland’s Ambassador to France for about a year, and before that he was the Chairman of
