The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has made a formal request for information about the possible health hazards of gas-powered stoves—another signal that the United States may be moving towards a ban on those appliances under the Biden administration.
“This RFI does not constitute or propose regulatory action, but rather is intended to inform the Commission and the public,” the request states.
The request can be viewed here. It has already received hundreds of comments. The comment period ends May 8.

Former President Donald Trump will surrender to face criminal charges if indicted by a Manhattan grand jury, his lawyer said Friday evening.
The lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, spoke on the heels of a report by WNBC that federal, state and local law enforcement agencies are preparing security arrangements for the possibility that Trump will be indicted as early as next week.
“Will follow normal procedures if it gets to that point,” Tacopina told CNBC when asked what Trump would do if that possibility becomes reality.

Donald Trump's call for Americans to "protest", after claiming he will be "arrested on Tuesday", has sparked an angry reaction online, with commentators comparing it to the rhetoric used ahead of the January 6 2021 attack on Congress. Speculation has been growing for weeks that Trump is about to be indicted by the Manhattan district attorney's office, for allegedly breaching campaign finance laws to arrange a payment of $130,000 in hush money to adult movie star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.
On January 6 2021 hundreds of Trump supporters stormed Congress in a bid to stop Joe Biden's 2020 presidential election result from being certified. In the ensuing mayhem,

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Saturday trashed Trump as radical Soros DA Alvin Bragg prepares to indict the former president.
In January the Manhattan District Attorney’s office revived its criminal investigation into Trump’s ‘hush payments’ to porn star Stephanie Clifford, AKA, Stormy Daniels and elevated the case from a misdemeanor to a felony.
Trump has been accused of paying Daniels ‘hush payments’ in a scheme to silence her and stop the story about their alleged affair from being published in the National Enquirer.

The Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and related causes received an astonishing $82.9 billion from corporations, a new funding database from the Claremont Institute has found.
The Claremont Institute’s Center for the American Way of Life explained the necessity of their report in an article published in Newsweek, where the Center asserted that the 2020 BLM movement was about more than just “rioting and destruction.”
The Center explained that “The BLM pressure campaigns, harassment, and moral blackmail also amounted to possibly the most lucrative shakedown of corporate America in its history.”
“As a point of reference, $82.9 billion is more than the GDP of 46 African countries.

Former President Barack Obama was spotted on Thursday boarding a private jet in Los Angeles that is believed to be owned or chartered by actor Ashton Kutcher.
Obama, who many believe may have more influence than is known in the policies that shape the Biden administration, is enjoying the good life, whether it’s enjoying himself at his 29-acre estate on Martha’s Vineyard or jetting around the world to vacation in one fabulous hot spot or another.
And while he is quick to lecture Americans about climate change, it seems Obama reserves the audacity to be a hypocrite.

Republican lawmakers blasted the prospect of former President Trump being indicted after he revealed he expects to be arrested next week, calling the potential move “politically motivated” and an “abuse of power.”
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said he would direct relevant committees to investigate if any federal funding is being used to “subvert our democracy by interfering in elections with politically motivated prosecutions.” “Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump,” he tweeted, referring to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

The headline says it all, doesn’t it?
North College Hill City School District in Cincinnati, Ohio, recently ranked #597 out of 607 Ohio school districts, according to the state’s evaluation index. By my grading scale, that’s straight F-minuses across the board. The district’s preposterous excuse? The teachers are “all worn out.” Oh, noes! On second thought, indoctrinating children five days a week must be a grueling task, at least at the beginning. I mean, you know, programming young minds to believe things they’ve likely never even heard of, the need to remember “who’s what gender?” every day,

Former President Trump will ultimately end up back in the White House if he is indicted by Manhattan prosecutors, Elon Musk predicted.
“If this happens, Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory,” Musk said in a tweet.
Musk’s tweet came as Trump declared on his own Truth Social platform that “ILLEGAL LEAKS” from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office indicate he “WOULD BE ARRESTED TUESDAY.” The comment from the Twitter boss and world’s richest man came in response to a Fox News segment detailing how Trump could potentially be “cuffed” and “fingerprinted and processed” and “escorted into the courtroom.”

The release of January 6th footage to Tucker Carlson by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy continues to make waves after the general counsel for the USCP threw a fit about it in a recent court filing. The case in question involves providing January 6th defendants access to the footage, something the USCP and the DOJ are fighting against. The police force’s general counsel argues that they did not get the review most of what was released by Carlson, with some of it being from the so-called “sensitive list.” (Tweet)
