In the 1960s, there was a professor and business analyst named Laurence J. Peter. He became famous for coming up with something called the Peter Principle. The informal way to describe it was this: In a business hierarchy, an employee does well and is promoted. He does well in his new, higher-level job and is promoted again. He does well in that position and is promoted yet again. Finally, he rises to a job that is beyond his abilities. He is no longer promoted and stays in the job he does not do well.
"In a hierarchy, every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence," Peter wrote.

The dilemma that arises is the following - Pete Buttigieg is Transportation Secretary for one reason and one reason only. His incompetency, on many levels, has been known for quite some time.

I've never heard of the Peter Principle but I'm sure that takes place, and certainly did with Buttplug. Kamala Harris' incompetence is an example of continuing to be promoted long after her abilities were reached. Her first political job was an appointment by Mayor Willie Brown with whom she had an adulterous affair, and then she continued to rise beyond her abilities.

What role did Buttigieg play in the decision to burn that train? If he wasn’t a part of it, why not? If he was, he needs to explain why he thought it was a good idea and what the expected aftereffects on locals and the region will be. And why was an overloaded, undermanned train carrying highly toxic chemicals allowed to travel at all? To whom were the contents bound? Was there anything on it that needed to be burned to hide evidence of wrongdoing?

When my dad was priming me for the corporate world, we had lots of discussions about that principle. I dont think Buttgig has just reached it. He reached it long before he hit the national stage. No, he was hired for the same reason as all the other sexual spastics in the Biden administration; because he filled a diversity square. He boinks boys, and thats his one qualification.

Yep, if Pete Buttpirate wasn't gay, he never would have even been considered for the office he now holds.

In his case, he is about 5 levels above his competency....the Peter Principal states 1 level above compentency...so that makes him SUPER Peter....er, sorry....

I think he should be fired for the "3 PPP'" Principle. I won't spell it out, but I'm sure a lot of Posters know what it is! Petey is the perfect example of a Lousy Employee!

I highly recommend reading this book if you weren't there when it exploded upon the scene. It was a huge hit, and quite the focus of conversation and analysis. It's easy to read and will take no time at all to finish.

I hope Pete is good in the sack because he isn't capable of anything else.

I can't think of a single person in the current administration that doesn't prove this point.

Buttigieg is just one among hundreds of similar Biden admin officials, all of whom were appointed for reasons other than their actual merit-based qualifications for the job.
Heck, Biden is the poster child for that model...

Pete is lazy and entitled, a pluperfect sloth who is getting paid for doing nothing. That is the story of the upper echelons of our government. Billions in salary are wasted on people who epitomize the Peter Principle.

The Peter Principle no longer applies today. Dems actually relish putting unqualified people in high-profile jobs, and promote them even higher.

Mayor Pete was not efficient as mayor in Indiana...but the Washington cabal saw him as a stooge to run some government agency for them...the result is a completely messed up transportation system...thanks Obama/biden...just like winken and blinken and nod dealing with security for our country...or heels up harris running the out of control southern border....they are all incompetents.....

Just for reference Pete's campaign claim if success with the South Bend economy was only because fascist Frau Whitmer shut down just the small businesses in Michigan forcing her taxed servants to flee to South Bend and other border cities for their retail, dining, entertainment and freedom. His Democrats can be credited but not him. AGAIN!
