Health concerns for Ohio residents are growing after a train carrying toxic chemicals crashed and engulfed surrounding neighborhoods in black smoke.
East Palestine resident Melissa Henry told the Associated Press her youngest son's 'eyes turned red as tomato and he was coughing a lot' before the family evacuated to her parents' house outside the evacuation zone.
Another resident in North Lima, roughly ten miles from the train derailment, had her six chickens die days after the chemical fire started.
Taylor Holzer, a registered foxkeeper who lives outside the evacuation perimeter, told WKBN all his foxes were ill and one had died.

A passenger onboard the terrifying United Airlines flight that came within feet of crashing into the Pacific Ocean described his and his family's harrowing experience.
Rod Williams II said he was sitting near the back of United Flight 1722 with his wife and kids on December 18 when it suddenly came down.
The plane, which had been headed to San Francisco from Hawaii when it found itself in an intense storm, proceeded to go into a 'dramatic, nose-down' dive for about eight to 10 seconds, creating mass pandemonium in the cabin, Williams said.

Could it really happen? Could Joe Biden really decide to replace Kamala Harris in 2024? It would be risky as hell, particularly if a black woman wasn’t chosen to replace Harris on the ticket. Still, cries of “Racism!” and “Misogyny!” would abound on the left — even if another black woman did get the call.
Would the attacks make sense if the scenario played out as I suggested?
Of course not. But, hey; when has the crazed woke left ever made sense?

A top United States senator focused on government corruption is pushing the Pentagon inspector general to reopen an investigation into allegations that a former top defense official engaged in ethical misconduct related to a multi-billion dollar defense contract, citing new evidence.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee, is requesting that the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DOD OIG) reopen its investigation, claiming that a former DOD official, Sally Donnelly, failed to disclose a potential conflict of interest to the DOD OIG when it was investigating the allegations of ethical misconduct

Three people were killed and at least five others were injured after a gunman opened fire at Michigan State University on Monday night before turning the gun on himself, officials said.
The lone suspect shot up two seperate buildings on campus and terrified students for roughly four hours while he remained at large.
The five wounded victims suffered “life-threatening” injuries and were rushed to a local hospital, MSU Police and Public Safety Interim Deputy Chief Chris Rozman said during a 11 p.m. press conference.

A key signer of the open letter that wrongly suggested The Post’s bombshell reporting on Hunter Biden’s emails was part of a “Russian information operation” has accused Politico of distorting “what we said” — more than two years after the fact.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper tried Monday to tamp down the growing controversy over the letter that he and 50 other ex-spooks signed after The Post first revealed the existence of the first son’s infamous laptop in October 2020.
Their public statement, now the subject of investigations by the Republican-led House Judiciary and Intelligence committees, was first reported by Politico

Russia has suffered some of the heaviest military losses in a single battle since the start of the war after elite units repeatedly tried to storm a fortified coal mining town in broad daylight.
Ukrainian officials claim huge numbers of enemy troops have been killed, wounded and captured in failed attempts to seize the Donetsk hamlet of Vuhledar.
They say that one marine brigade of 5,000 men was almost entirely destroyed, for the third time since the Kremlin launched the full-scale invasion nearly a year ago.
The carnage – and loss of at least 130 armoured vehicles – led Russian hardliners to call for public show trials to punish incompetent generals

Microsoft has stopped partnering with a foreign think tank, pending review, that was designed to blacklist conservative media. The tech company also reportedly removed negative flags for conservative media outlets.
After Breitbart News, the Washington Examiner, and the Daily Caller News Foundation highlighted how a Microsoft-owned ad network, Xandr, employed foreign think tank Global Disinformation Index’s (GDI) media blacklist, otherwise known as the “Dynamic Exclusion List,” Microsoft said it has stopped using its blacklist, pending review.
“We try to take a principled approach to accuracy and fighting foreign propaganda.

This one was almost too stupid to cover, but sometimes the really stupid silliness is hard to pass up, which is nearly always the case with anything to do with MSNBC’s Morning Joe and its lovebird co-hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. (Mr. and Mrs. Mika, as I’m fond of calling them.)
On Friday’s episode of the Trump-bashing, Biden-loving comedy show, Mika beclowned herself bigly, which is a piece of cake for her and her emasculated hubby.

A growing number of states and cities are considering or implementing bans for the future construction of not just gas stoves, but natural gas hookups themselves, a move that would raise costs for consumers and potentially have negative environmental consequences, natural gas advocates told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Lawmakers in the state of Minnesota introduced legislation Wednesday that would permit the state’s Commissioner of Labor and Industry to amend the state’s energy code to “mitigate the impact of climate change,” a directive that could be used to justify a ban on natural gas, according to the free-market Minnesota think-tank Center of the American Experiment.
