This year’s Super Bowl will feature the singing of Lift Every Voice and Sing, otherwise known as the black national anthem, before the start of this year’s game.
The song will be sung before the U.S. national anthem.
According to Mashable, “If the Super Bowl is your introduction to national treasure Sheryl Lee Ralph, welcome. The veteran singer-actress is set to take the Super Bowl stage Sunday to perform what is known as the Black national anthem, “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” She’s joined by country singer Chris Stapleton singing the national anthem and R&B star Babyface performing “America the Beautiful.'”

Dozens of students walked out of their New Hampshire school after the district banned urinals in a compromise to a proposal that would have blocked children from using facilities based on their gender identity. The school board decided a few days before the Friday walkout to prohibit students at Milford Middle School and Milford High School from using urinals or shared spaces in locker rooms. The ban in a town of about 15,000 people roughly 35 miles (56 kilometers) from Concord, New Hampshire's capital, was the culmination of a long debate about district rules about bathroom use and gender identity.

A Canadian Catholic school pupil who was suspended last November for saying there are only two genders was arrested this week after attempting to return to class without renouncing his beliefs.
Josh Alexander, 16, was arrested on Monday afternoon at St Joseph’s Catholic High School in Renfrew, Ontario after trying to attend class after he had been suspended in November for saying there are only two genders during a class discussion.
“I got suspended for comments made during a class discussion,” Alexander said. “It was about male students using female washrooms, gender dysphoria and male breastfeeding.

Good news, everybody. All those UFOs being shot down over the US and Canada might not be from China after all, leaving the possibility that it’s just an alien invasion on the table.
According to the Chicoms, they have detected an unidentified craft over Rizhao and have scrambled jets in response, warning fishermen to stay alert if something comes crashing down out of the sky. That news was about an hour old as of this writing and no further news has been released on whether China successfully engaged the supposed craft. That is if there even was a UFO as the communists claim.
It seems far more likely

Back in 2017, when Amy Coney Barrett was undergoing confirmation hearings for her nomination to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein expressed concern about Judge Barrett’s devotion to her Catholic faith. “The dogma lives loudly within you,” Feinstein said. Two years later, Brian Buescher, a nominee to the federal bench in Ohio, faced criticism from Democratic Sens. Kamala Harris and Mazie Hirono for his membership in the Knights of Columbus. Then, an article in the Atlantic magazine argued that the Catholic rosary symbolized religious radicalism and had become a “weapon” for those dangerous white Christian nationalists.

President Biden will be traveling to Poland at the end of the month to mark the one-year mark of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the White House announced on Friday.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the president would be visiting the NATO ally from Feb. 20 to Feb. 22. The White House did not say whether Biden would at some point travel to Ukraine.
“He will meet with President Duda of Poland to discuss our bilateral cooperation as well as our collective efforts to support Ukraine and bolster NATO’s deterrence,” Jean-Pierre said.
She added that the president would “deliver remarks ahead of the one-year mark of the Russian invasion of Ukraine,

A few weeks after five Memphis Police officers administered a fatal beating to Tyre Nichols on Jan. 7, 2023, rumors began circulating that there may have been a personal aspect to the case. On Feb. 2, I reported:
It began with a rumor.
Sir Maejor, an ethnically black actor and model with a fair complexion due to albinism, tweeted Monday that “I am being told that Tyre Nichols was in a relationship with and worked at a Memphis @FedEx with #MemphisPolice Demetrius Halys’s ex-girlfriend & baby mama.” Not only that, but “After the beating Officer Halys took a pictures of #TyreNichols face and sent it to his babymama.”

Rihanna stole the show during the Super Bowl half time performance on Sunday night - but some fans were confused by the sultry energy she brought to the stage.
The Shine Bright Like a Diamond singer, 34, wowed fans in a sexy all-red outfit - and in a swooping dance move, seemed to grab her crotch before licking her fingers.
Her risqué show saw her belt out some of her greatest hits, including Run This Town and We Found Love at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where the Philadelphia Eagles are taking on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Who could have possibly predicted this entirely inevitable outcome? The Point did, obviously. Now the media is catching up and acting like crowdsourcing migration was ever going to end any other way.
"Pedro Yudel Bruzon was looking for someone in the U.S. to support his effort to seek asylum when he landed on a Facebook page filled with posts demanding up to $10,000 for a financial sponsor.
It’s part of an underground market that’s emerged since the Biden administration announced it would accept 30,000 immigrants each month arriving by air from Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and Haiti. Applicants for the humanitarian parole program need someone in the U.S., often a friend or relative,

Cue the Twilight Zone theme.
The Wall Street Journal reported the object shot down over by U.S. planes Lake Huron Sunday afternoon was “shaped like an octagon.” Rep. Jack Bergman (R-MI) said in an interview with Fox News a few minutes ago the object shot down by an F-16 that fired an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile was an “octagonal structure” over Lake Huron at about 20,000 feet. Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) implied in a statement the object was the same one tracked over Montana Saturday night (tweet posted further down in article.

A Montana congressman said on Saturday night that he had been told an unidentified object was spotted over his district, forcing the temporary closure of airspace - and the search for it would resume at daylight.
Matt Rosendale, a Republican elected in 2020, said he had been briefed by the Department of Defense, while he was at a Lincoln Reagan dinner.
Fighter jets were scrambled and airspace above Havre, a town of 10,000 people, 30 miles south of the Canadian border, was shut at 7:50pm before being reopened about 50 minutes later.

If you’re going to continue reading, consider yourself forewarned: It gets far crazier than the headline suggests. Let’s begin with the left’s latest insane notion: restoring sight to the blind is yet another example of ableism — the discrimination of and social prejudice against people with disabilities based on the belief that typical abilities are superior — and moreover, disabilities “need no cure.” See what I mean?
As RedState reported earlier this month, Jimmy Donaldson, more popularly known as “MrBeast,” posted a video to his YouTube channel about how he helped “cure” the blindness of 1,000 people by providing them with free cataract surgery. Donaldson was promptly both praised and skewered,
