I really miss Rush. Regardless how complex or critical the issue, I could always count on Rush Limbaugh’s entirely rational and moral analysis, delivered by an apex professional with genuine compassion, even for those with whom he disagreed.
He was ensconced behind that golden EIB microphone; a master of ideas and argument. From his lofty height, he engaged with every thorny problem with an equanimity that drew a placid sagacity from an ocean of experience, and confidence. After all, Rush was “documented almost always right 99.7% of the time.”
He was a compass that always pointed the precise bearing to truth. He was the constitutionalists’ loadstar.

Sitting here this morning sipping coffee from my Charter Member Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy mug with a very heavy heart...still. Really miss The Maha Rushie.

Rush vocalized what we had been thinking and feeling, so we felt calmer just knowing that our beliefs were main stream. He had the unique ability to bring humor to a topic that could cause outrage. He could make us laugh at the absurdity of the other view, which we hoped would infuriate the opposition.
I miss him terribly!

I'm right there with you #2. I'm still heartbroken and miss El Rushbo beyond words. The article mentions Jordan Peterson, I wish he had a daily show and not just a podcast. There is a huge void since Rush passed away.

Let’s start with failure to protect his brand at the retail level: those who promoted a back bench congressman and cIA hack, who offers that credential without any critical reflection on the recent failures of the intelligence community and Republican legislators to protect Americans, American exceptionalism and American culture, and some other talk radio sports guy, whose goal is not ruffle feathers,. The populist conservative message of limited government and maximum individual freedom and free markets, principles no longer articulated or embraced , but thwarted by an unchallenged media and unchallenged politicians.
Need to establish who is responsible for deliberately erasing Rushes legacy.
They’ve done to Rushes show what the did to Buckley’s National Review.

Perhaps if Rush's heirs had been a little less quick to sell out to Conservative Inc, we might have had a truly worthy successor-(hey,Steyn,that means YOU)...

I’m so glad Rush lived long enough to have The Medal Of Freedom presented to him by President Trump at the SOTU. What a night that was,

I cut my political teeth with Rush. And I'm unhappy with the 'replacements'. The J& B team just don't cut it.

A very sad truth: There will NEVER be another Rush Limbaugh. One of a kind, gone forever. Devastating.

Rush was able to explain things without condescending to his audience. He was a trailblazer that saved AM radio and gave millions of conservatives a voice. He was first and foremost an extremely talented and entertaining broadcaster that made it look effortless. When I hear an old clip from his show, I am brought to unexpected tears. The GOAT as they say now.

As much as I miss Rush, God took him home on His timeline. Personally, I'm glad Rush isn't here to watch the destruction of the country he loved so much. While he educated and entertained us with his wit, he was unable to stem the tide of the destruction over his 31 years on radio. His show let us know we weren't alone in our views.
However, I disagree with the author. He may not like the brash conservative views of I'm assuming Dan Bongino who I think took over the NY market, but 31 years of Rush reassuring us that we weren't alone didn't stem the tide of destruction. Rush's death gave rise to the ability of activist conservatives to get us engaged in a fight that we have no option but to win or we will be destroyed. Playing nice in the sandbox got us no where.
I strongly encourage those unhappy with Rush's replacement to start listening to the Warroom Podcast with Steve Bannon and crew. He is not Rush in personality but he understands the graveness of our situation and calls on WTP to engage and join the fight to save our country. I highly recommend it.
I will always be grateful to Rush for his wealth of knowledge. But God brought him home for a reason, as angry as I was at God for taking both him and allowing Trump to be removed from office. He has a grand plan whether we like it or not. It might just be that He's giving us a chance to save ourselves but we need to be willing to fight for it. Warroom is a great place to start. RIP Rush!

elRushbo was a true God-fearing, American Patriot! He was able to converse ANY topic with an absolute understanding to his audience, A diamond in the rough using a little golf lingo. Rush was the epitome of using his "talent on loan from God!" We ALL miss Maha Rushie!

Really disappointed with the replacement in our market. The C and B show....they are anti-Trump, arrogant gossips who carry the globalist rhino message under the guise of conservatism. Try to listen, but they just grate on the ears.

Rush was consistently right because he never underestimated the moral bankruptcy of the Democrat Party. The truth has consistently been much worse than the little we see daily.

Growing up I anticipated Paul Harvey ensuring that whenever possible I could her "Hello, Americans! Standby for news!"..." Good day!". In my early 40s I discovered Rush and eagerly awaited "...across the fruited plains...". Both validated my conservative beliefs and articulated them in an entertaining fashion.

Like #15, I find Tray and Buck arrogant, self important and grating. How often I have tuned in on the car radio and can’t listen for more than a few minutes. Their silly conversations are not informative and really not even entertaining. I miss Rush’s passion , his love for this great country and his demon for personal responsibility. Rush was the real deal. Who on earth ever decided on the silly tag team that now sits behind the EIB microphone?

Dan Bongino is Rush's replacement in the DC/MD/VA market - see wmal.com talk radio. I generally like Dan and his views, in particular that on Joe Biden being a foreign agent. However, his talking style and his off hand comments about what he is drinking or whatever is rather annoying. HIs jokiness (for lack of better description) is annoying a and a bit immature.
Travis and Buck - don't listen to them and anyone who is former CIA - I take their opinions with a very large grain of salt. Fox News seems to have thing for them so I do not.

Back in the mid-nineties a thought ran through my mind while listening to Rush of what would it be like when Rush is no longer around. I suspected it wouldn't be like before Rush came along with no conservative voices out there simply because Rush had started a trend that was too popular and profitable to not continue. We are in a period where we are looking for the next Rush Limbaugh, knowing fool well that there was only one Rush Limbaugh.

Andrew Wilkow (The Wilkow Majority) on Sirius XM Patriot, while lacking the the Limbaugh humor and grace, is extremely smart and "one of us". No nonsence, well researched.

Perhaps Mark Steyn would have been the closest replacement to Rush, but he didn't want the job and went back to British television.
Have not been able to get into Clay & Buck, Bongino isn't on stations around here, and the only time I get to hear any 11-2 (CT) talk shows is Friday afternoon. Do enjoy the Breitbart shows in the AM and weekends, tho.

We knew that he'd be irreplaceable.
Can you imagine the parodies that Rush would have treated us to for the past two years, particularly those dealing with Kamala Harris?
Still, Rush caught a lucky break. God spared him from the pain of seeing and experiencing the country that he so loved and tried unsuccessfully to save.

One Rush "law" has remained unbroken. The Raiders will never be worth a damn outside of Oakland. Oakland players won a Super Bowl playing in LA, true. But since then, nope. Las Vegas Raiders? Hold your nose and breath through your mouth.

Rush had many inside sources that he would call about an issue and then he would give us the whole explanation including the backstory. Sometimes his explanation on a complex topic would take nearly an hour segment and it was interspersed with humor and entertainment. He was not boring.
The only thing I get anymore is a short propaganda statement from the government/news-media that leaves me with many more questions that the reporters apparently don't know to ask. Except for Peter Doocy. And if somewhere someone makes a statement that starts to contain the truth then Google or Youtube pastes a banner telling us to go to some UN statement on climate change which is filled with total nonsense.

You know the funny thing is, many in this salon were certain that Rush was in here from time to time, and that his show prepped looked to see what articles had been posted. Like so many of us, we come here to share and not miss things.
You sometimes got the sense he found stuff here.
I get the sense Buck and Clay don't know about this place, much less come here.

#30 I have the same question.
My brother lives near Tyler Texas and his radio station allowed the people to choose who would fill Rush's time slot, by playing some different shows and letting the people call in to vote. They chose Jimmy Failla.
At least he has the sense of humor that we miss. No one will ever put in the work on show prep that Rush did, or have his reasoning skills.
I listen online when I think of it, but can't find him on my radio in Baton Rouge.
Failla is much better than the choice made by the EIB and my radio station.
