America's insane debt is suicidal! Yet
the socialist left and hysterical media
will fight to keep on spending. I led

There's a 'd-word' that obsesses and terrifies the mainstream media every time a Republican starts talking tough about reining in America's out-of-control – dare I say, suicidal – federal spending.
Strikingly, the word is not 'debt.'
It's 'default'.
On Wednesday, Speaker Kevin McCarthy met for the first time with President Joe Biden to kick off negotiations ahead of the now-recurring, annual business of raising America's borrowing limit to finance its upward-spiraling debt.
'Default' was on the minds of reporters waiting for McCarthy outside the White House. 'Can you commit that the U.S. will not default on its obligations,' one asked.
No one – the least of which being McCarthy – wants America to fail

1995! Are you serious! Doesn’t this idiot realize how much this country has changed demographically from 30 years ago? Not even to mention the dumbing down and brainwashing of our youth in public schools systems. Just look at how the under 30 voted in the last midterm.

The Republicans have been going along with them for decades. I fear it's all too late now.

I remember when the debt was only around 3 trillion and could have been fixed with some belt tightening. Both sides of the aisle failed to do so and now we are so far down the rabbit hole we will never get out. Spending is how politicians keep getting re-elected so we are doomed.

Watching pennies at this point will do nothing to reduce Joe's seven trillion dollar gifts to the Green Weenies and illegal immigrants. Our grandchildren will be cursing him, if the country lasts that long.

Newt, relax, the owners of the world's central banks have plans for us. Soon, the US dollar will cease to exist and will be replaced with a digital currency. Also, Newt, the FedNow cashless payment system goes live this summer. You might want to study up on this.
After America is fully committed to its so-called digital dollar, aka the Central Bank Digital Currency, the central banks will erase our national debt like it never even happened. Sounds good, no? But there is a catch. In exchange for erasing the debt the central banks will control how much the federal government and we the people will spend, on what, and when. You will own nothing and be happy. Welcome to the Great Reset. If we are compliant or not compliant, our individual social credit scores will increase or decrease, and voila, we will be allowed to receive money and food to eat or have no money or food while being subject to hard labor. Any questions, Newt?

The US has attempted to balance the budget 7 times in our history with the Gingrich-Clinton attempt being the last in 1998. Six of these attempts resulted in economic depressions including the Great Depression in 1932. The Gingrich attempt resulted in a deep recession in 2000 that would have produced a depression, but the Congress quietly undermined it and went back to deficit budgets before that was allowed to happen.
The US has never "borrowed" a dollar anymore than a corporation "borrows" its own stock on margin to float new shares to the public. The government deficit of dollars is just the number of outstanding dollars that are circulating in the private economy. When we attempt to balance the budget we are taking dollars out of the pubic's pocket where they are productive and parking them with the Treasury where they are retired like stock shares.
The Federal Reserve must legally issue new dollars to the Treasury to meet the appropriations made by Congress. As long as this process is done with an understanding that you can't issue more shares than the productive capacity of the economy can absorb without causing price inflation, nothing bad will happen.
Gingrich and other conservatives are right about many cultural and civil ills in society but they need to drop the tired, monetarist, "Scrooge McDuck" act and show some vision instead. How great would America be if we spent our resources for real public needs rather than the narrow interests of political contributors.

The words 'debt', 'insane', and 'suicidal' all in one sentence, I liked.
Everything else, ehhhh.
Even by Newt's own admission, his victory in 1996 was only symbolic which meant nothing really changed. We can trust the Republicans to fix this? I don't trust anyone in Washington! None of them serve the public anymore. They only serve themselves and big-money interests. Does that sound like an environment that will come up with a solution?
Washington isn't the solution. It is part of the problem!

I have great respect for Mr. Newt's views, but we no longer live in the world he thinks we do.
The republican's lack of backbone to stand up against this insane fiscal policy of attempting to SPEND our way out only makes things worse. In the history of the World this idea of spending our way out has NEVER WORKED, yet a majority of 'republicans' voted for the "omnibus' monstrosity. They have failed U.S.
President Reagan brought double-digit inflation to heel, but the first two years of his first term were not a great economic success. What followed was a juggernaut that only outrageous spending could stop, and NoBama did just that with his Keynsian foollishness.
There does not appear to be the will to stop this spending on political pet projects thrown into the mix without uproar and upheaval from the public who the media/big tech conspiracy keeps from the public with the latest "shiny object' distraction. The majority of families are now living "paycheck to paycheck" just to keep up with the rising costs of Bidenflation and the fast decline in the purchasing power of a dollar because of it, making their hard-earned money worth less--worthless.
After the successful psyops operation of the 2020 election where NO JUDGES would hear evidence in court, the breaking up of society with the "two weeks to slow the spread" and now corporations attempting to control private business trade with THEIR OWN new policies, we may just be only slowing down the inevitable-- not necessarily a 'default' but a massive new worldwide "depression" in which we may never survive at this point in time with the encouragement of INVASION under the guise of 'we need people to work" which displaces AMERICANS.
Like a dog who needs the owner to feed and water him daily, the NoBama/Soros demonrat socialist marxists can cut off all the goodies to the addicted and lazy..... Pray that the public wakes up and does something because DC won't do ANYTHING to cut off THEIR gravy train

As Gingrich notes the Republicans “shut down” the government twice in their fight with Clinton over the budget. Despite the hysteria promoted by the media and the condemnation of the establishment Republicans, the House didn’t lose its Republican majority in the next election. Gingrich and company won.
Do today’s Republicans have the spine to do the same now? Very doubtful. Mitch McConnell announces at the beginning of every term that the government will not be shutdown, thereby eliminating any leverage to rein in spending. I fear our leaders will cravenly keep on the path towards national suicide.
