Another Trump-hating FBI lovebird flies

A certain amount of foofaraw came about when FBI bigshots Peter Strzok and Lisa Page drew headlines for their Trump-hating text-messages while in the throes of an extramarital affair.
And rightly, most of the attention went to the pair's illegal use of government property and underhanded Borgia-style machinations against the incoming U.S. president.
But their openly out there extramarital affair is worth noting, too. Under FBI regulations, adulterous affairs are a firing offense, given that such behavior puts national security at risk and automatically leads to the loss of one's security clearance.
It makes sense that someone who can't keep a personal vow probably wouldn't be inclined to remain loyal to his country,

McGonigal was head of counterintelligence. Some old FBI agents from a time of better behavior say that the agency should go back to being an crime investigation agency, not an intelligence operation. It would impose a different and better culture, they say.

Remember Robert Hannsen, the Russian Spy, the American who spied for Russia and worked as an FBI agent. The FBI still can't shoot straight and its agents are still suspect. So there is no surprise that FBI agents work against America.

If Chrisopher Waray is indeed "getting a little on the side," that would go a long way to explain why this culture is tolerated within the Bureau.
Mrs. Wray, can your husband look you in the eye and swear his fidelity to you?

I’m surprised they have time to foment bogus stories against a sitting President when they are so busy having “foreign” affairs.

FTA:
She said she was so angry that, after a bout of drinking, she emailed his boss to disclose the affair as well as extensive dealings she’d noticed McGonigal had in Albania. It’s unclear what came of the email but the feds turned up on her doorstep three years later to ask her about McGonigal and some of her allegations regarding Albania appeared in last week’s indictment.
First, it took them 3 years to ask her about this affair?
Presume they sat on it, trying to cover it up, but then this laptop thing and the GOP took control of the House seems more likely to have pushed them to finally show up.
Second, notice the mention of Albania, which is something that's being mentioned in the the most recent Biden e-mails?
Sure hope Strzok lost his security clearance, pursuant to FBI regulations.

Why didn't the FBI investigate sooner...during the PDT administration with the goal of making PDT look bad?
(That's right...PDT was their only target then.)

The last thing you want is the FBI investigate its self. The DOJ IG should have done this and it looks like the IG turned the other way when it came to the FBI. Many of Obama's people were put in place before he left. The FBI was one, you can look in every Intelligence organization and find them. Trump made a huge mistake by not removing these people when he took office. When it comes to personnel, Trump stinks. He picks all the wrong people.

#7 beat me to it, why did it take 3 years before the FIB pursued this story? It is all in the timing. Dan Bongino was mentioned in the article, he has done an outstanding job of breaking down all of the scandals being uncovered. His ability to recall names and tie people together is incredible. My only complaint about his show is that he constantly talks in asides where his voice drops down and becomes nearly inaudible (yes I have it turned up). Excellent article BTW--thanks.

Go back and examine the changes in the entire corruption discourse and take note of the timing of the news about Charles McGonigal's indictment. Something is up.

A jilted mistress's testimony, lavish expenses, piles of cash laying around, meetings with Russkies and Albanians yet no 6AM full military tactical raid on his home with the family in their underwear with CNN cameras? And you're going to let this corruption investigate itself? There must be money being distributed for this to continue.

Unfortunately Monica, your notions have become quaint and perhaps a trifle bourgeois. The ruling class have dropped the terms "integrity", "honesty" "fidelity" and "duty" from the official list of virtues.

Someone tweeted during the WEF that Christopher Wray was spending $2500.00 a night in Davos for prostitutes. They didn't clarify if it was men or women.

Hey, y'all. This is funnier than Operation Tailhook. (As the Tailhook story spread, senior USN and USMC officers retired or had their careers ruined.) As with most rotting fish, it is dead from the head. At the exalted DOJ, too good to hope they get some sort of monetary sanction and/or jail time.

It's all about the Davos oligarchs putting their plan for world domination in play...I can't believe they are stupid enough to think WE peasants won't fight back...they need our money...and tax collectors have not been kindly thought of back to biblical times....they can only rule...if...they have our money...a little fly in their ointment....their master plan to control has a flaw....

Anybody think the FIB didn't know of McGonigal's dalliances before the dropped a dime on him? They just couldn't be bothered until the 'sidekick' may have gone public. Then they had to 'do something'.
She should be glad she's still alive.

I wonder if the FBI would have handled McGonigal differently if his affair had been with another man. Would they have let it slide in the name of wokeness?
