Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), the assistant House Democrat leader and a top ally of the president, is convinced President Joe Biden will run for a second term in 2024, and he discouraged any challengers.
“Yes, I am,” Clyburn said when CBS News’s Robert Costa asked if he is convinced that Biden will run for reelection.
Clyburn, who has been in House Democrat leadership for years, reportedly speaks with the president regularly and has been credited for helping Biden win their party’s primary during the 2020 presidential election. His endorsement of Biden in the primary ultimately helped him over the finish line after suffering multiple early-state losses.

Imagine the following scenario: You are driving through Los Angeles when your car is inexplicably struck by another. You pull out of traffic and stop at the side of the road so you can exchange information with the other driver as the law prescribes. In speaking with the other driver, you can see he appears to be under the influence of some intoxicant, as he is agitated, speaking incoherently, and running around in the street. You are relieved to spot a passing police officer, whom you flag down and apprise of events.
“There’s the man who hit me,” you say to the officer. “He’s running around in the street

News item: Stanford University withdraws its “Harmful Language” list after it received widespread publicity—and universal ridicule. But other universities are quietly imposing similar “language guidance” albeit without high-profile master lists that would expose them to the withering laughter and contempt they deserve.
News item: The Biden Administration rushes to reassure Americans that there is “no plan” to ban natural gas stoves. This is a lie, of course. Lots of progressive cities—and even New York state—are moving to impose bans on all natural gas appliances. There is no doubt that the climatistas are determined to take away your gas stoves.
What do these two stories have in common?

When it comes to gender follies, Minnesota Democrats are keeping up with their insane colleagues on the coasts. DFL state representative Sandra Feist has been pushing a bill “that would require school districts and charter schools to provide students in grades four through 12 with access to free menstrual products in student restrooms.” Feist’s bill was approved in committee last year by a 12-4 vote. See Feist’s news clip. The news clip also maps out new frontiers in poverty: “Elif Ozturk, a sophomore at Hopkins High School, said ‘period poverty’ is an issue she’s encountered among classmates.”

PORTLAND, Ore. – Senate Joint Memorial 2, also known as the Greater Idaho bill, was introduced on the floor of the Oregon legislature by Republican state Senator Dennis Linthicum of Klamath Falls on Jan. 10.
The bill requests “discussion between Oregon and Idaho governments regarding relocation of Oregon and Idaho border,” according to the bill text.
Voters in 11 eastern Oregon counties have already approved ballot measures indicating their support for joining the State of Idaho. “Eastern Oregon is culturally, politically, economically much more similar to Idaho than it is to western Oregon,” said Matt McCaw, a Grater Idaho Movement spokesperson. “Our movement is about self-determination and matching people to government

Longtime journalist and Fox News co-host Geraldo Rivera received a wave of criticism on Twitter Tuesday after incorrectly identifying the AR-15 as an "automatic rifle."
In an exchange on the opinion roundtable show, "The Five," Rivera discussed President Joe Biden's pledge to ban assault rifles with his fellow co-hosts.
"I submit to you, ladies and gentlemen, there is no legitimate reason ... to have an AR-15," Rivera tells the table.
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld pushed back on Rivera's opinion, however, and asked the former correspondent, "What does 'AR' stand for?" "It is an automatic rifle," Rivera answered, to which Gutfeld said, "That's not what it is."

LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday declared that porn performer Ron Jeremy is mentally incompetent to stand trial on dozens of rape and sexual assault counts. A hearing on placing the 69-year-old Jeremy, whose legal name is Ronald Hyatt, in a state hospital will be held next month.
Jeremy pleaded not guilty after a grand jury indicted him on 34 counts of sexual assault, including 12 counts of rape.
“When he was arrested two years ago I said he would be found innocent of all charges,”
Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Harris said in a hearing that after reviewing reports from both prosecutors and Jeremy’s defense that

Rescuers searched for a third day Tuesday for a Hawaii fisherman who went overboard from a boat after hooking a tuna over the weekend, authorities said. Mark Knittle, 63, of Captain Cook, was fishing with a friend off Honaunau on the Big Island on Sunday, when he hooked an ahi, or tuna, police said.
"The friend heard Knittle say, 'The fish is huge,' then saw Knittle go overboard into the water," according to a police news release. The friend tried to grab the line, but Knittle disappeared within seconds, the release said. The friend jumped in but couldn't see Knittle.

The world is run by a bunch of unelected powerful geriatrics. How do you replace them?
It’s the political race everyone is afraid to talk about.
For 52 years the World Economic Forum has been synonymous with its founder and executive chair Klaus Schwab, whose humble manner belies what many who know him describe as great ambition and boundless energy, even into his mid-80s.
Schwab has grown WEF’s $6,000 startup capital in 1971 into a $390 million a year business, turning a once sleepy organization into the think tank world’s FIFA.
When people are afraid to talk about a race, maybe something is seriously wrong there?

The Biden administration on Tuesday argued that the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention should have the authority to issue an immediate mask mandate on travelers.
The Department of Justice had appealed a federal judge’s ruling in April that said the CDC did not have the legal authority to issue a mask mandate, according to Reuters.
Noting that the crux of the issue was whether the CDC could impose the mandate without a public comment period, Justice Department attorney Brian Springer said action without waiting to hear from the public was essential “to prevent the possible infections and deaths that could result if people didn’t do the simple thing of

The National Archives issued three statements, one on August 12, one on September 8 and one on September 23, supposedly rebutting claims that there were any issues with Obama’s presidential records.
The September 8 statement specifically denied that any records from the Obama administration were missing. Or, very specifically, NARA “is not aware of any missing boxes of Presidential records from the Obama administration.”
Not aware is of course ‘lawyerese’ for plausible deniability.
In November, the first tranche of classified documents was found at Penn Biden.
NARA’s only statement on Nov 9 involved Trump’s documents. Ditto for another Dec 20 statement.

BOSTON, MA- No worries…it’s not like they’re trying to groom them or anything. In yet another clear example of the insanity of the left, in particular leftist universities, Harvard Medical School, which purports to be one of the leading such institutions in the country, is now offering courses on how to provide healthcare to infants who identify as being part of the alphabet community, according to a course catalog description.
Fox News reports the course, “Caring for Patients with Diverse Sexual Orientations, Gender Identities and Sex Development,” offers students the opportunity to work with “patients [who] identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex or asexual,”
