The Climate Is In Great Shape

Original Article

It doesn’t come as any surprise to regular Power Line readers that the politically and economically motivated climate hysteria with which we are constantly bombarded is false. This piece by Javier Vinós at Watts Up With That, titled “Good 2022 Climate News the MSM didn’t tell you,” does an excellent job of summing up the reality that is usually obscured. As Vinos says, there has been mild warming during the last 40 years. But the rate of warming has been slowing down, not accelerating as the alarmists’ models predict: [T]he good news that no one is telling us is that global warming is slowing down.

The area where I live was covered with 2 or 3 hundred feet of ice several times in the past. Thank God for global warming.

Global warming is now and always has been a hoax pushed by fools, and more importantly, socialist/communists in America and western Europe. Democrats see global warming along with open borders as their tickets to perpetual rule. Resisters can be cancelled at the ballot box. We saw in 2020 and recently in Arizona. Honest elections are becoming a rarity.

As he notes in his article, global warming will not cause increased weather events. When we start getting an increase in storms again is when we will know for sure that we crossed a line into a cooler period. Cold fronts will become much stronger and more defined. They estimate around 2030 we'll be back into a full blown cooling period.

The good news is global warming is slowing down. The bad news is winters are going to get a hell of lot colder and last longer.

I spent a forty year career in engineering doing very high end computer simulations of real mechanical, structural and electrical systems. Matching your simulations to real world data is MANDATORY. A simulation (model) which deviates increasingly from the real world data is beyond worthless, moving into dangerous. Climate models are harmful, nonscientific nonsense. Laugh at their models, and ignore their bogus "predictions".

Partial amen to #7 -- the scam is slowing down in some manner; but the Warmers are always looking for new angles from which to induce fear, which has a way of lowering skepticism. They can't make it more plausible; but they can make its prospects more frightening.

Twitter let Democrats spread a false narrative that “Russian bots” were making a Republican memo on FBI surveillance abuse trend in 2018, according to the 14th installment of the “Twitter Files,” released Thursday. The failure of the website to push back as Democrats used the bot claims to discredit findings by Rep. Devin Nunes of flaws in the Trump-Russia investigation, was “one of the more shameful episodes in the recent history of our media,” according to independent journalist and author Matt Taibbi. The conservative California Republican had submitted the report “detailing abuses by the FBI in obtaining FISA surveillance authority against Trump-connected figures”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Thursday argued President Biden knew his private office had classified documents, or he wouldn’t have had his attorneys remove things from his office. “I think if you call a lawyer to remove something for your office, he must have known ahead of time,” McCarthy said. “So, I think he has a lot of answers to the American public. The good thing about that is the American public has a Congress that can get the answers.” The remarks came at McCarthy’s first press conference as Speaker in response to a question from the conservative One America News Network about whether McCarthy had ever used a lawyer

The story of Joe Biden and the classified documents is just getting worse. As we reported earlier, the location of the second set of classified documents was concerning — in a storage area in Biden’s Wilmington home. I knew it was going to be bad when they didn’t even say where it was when they initially announced it. Then Biden’s response to that was just horrible, claiming the classified documents were locked up next to his Corvette. “My Corvette’s in a locked garage, okay? So it’s not like they’re sitting out on the street.” That got George Washington Law School professor Jonathan Turley going. He ripped into Biden

After a week of leftist-media hazing about a “hard right” faction holding Kevin McCarthy’s bid for House Speaker “hostage,” it’s a breath of fresh air to find Washington Post columnist (and Deputy Opinion Editor) Karen Tumulty acknowledging that there were principled reasons to negotiate in a piece entitled "What the House GOP rebels were right about." It turns out anyone can see Congress has a broken system, regardless of party. Tumulty noted the "hardliners" had a point on how the legislative machine operates these days: Procedural issues rarely get the attention they deserve, which is why it has largely slipped the public’s notice

JPMorgan Chase on Thursday shut down the website for a college financial aid platform it bought for $175 million after alleging the company's founder created nearly 4 million fake customer accounts. The country's biggest bank acquired Frank in September 2021 to help it deepen relationships with college students, a key demographic, a Chase executive told CNBC at the time. JPMorgan touted the deal as giving it the "fastest-growing college financial planning platform" used by more than 5 million students at 6,000 institutions. It also provided access to the startup's founder, Charlie Javice, who joined the New York-based bank as part of the acquisition. Months after the transaction closed,

The documents were located following a search of the president's homes in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. No classified documents were located in Rehoboth, the statement says. The documents were found "among personal and political papers," the statement reads. Lawyers for Biden concluded their review of the Delaware homes on Wednesday evening.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been focused on “LGBTQI+” inclusivity and “gender-neutral” language under President Joe Biden — even as it has struggled to manage the nation’s commercial air traffic. On Wednesday, the FAA ordered the first nationwide “ground stop” since Sep. 11, 2001, after a computer system failed overnight, grounding thousands of flights and throwing the country’s air traffic into chaos. It was the second crisis in as many months, after a winter storm snarled air travel during the holiday season. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg blamed Southwest Airlines, whose personnel management system caused company-wide cancelations that accounted for much of the nationwide disruption. But the FAA’s own systems

They also found a lesion on her chest, which appeared to be basal cell carcinoma, and doctors extracted. They later confirmed it was that type of skin cancer.

Following yet another failure of government control of transportation -- the FAA system debacle -- Pete Buttigieg has been soundly thrashed again for his incompetence. The FAA failure is only one of many fiascos over the past year laid at the feet of the erstwhile secretary of Transportation. Recall when he and his “husband” were on paternity leave for nearly two months while the maritime shipping supply chain crisis was going on last fall. Next, he was AWOL during the railroad strike negotiations and really played no role in brokering a deal. As a matter of fact, he was on vacation in Portugal at the time.
