Speaking during an interview with Fox News Thursday afternoon, Republican Congressman Don Bacon expressed he was open to working with Democrats in order to get Leader Kevin McCarthy across the finish line as Speaker of the House. McCarthy needs 218 votes. (Tweet/Video) Republican Michael Waltz, who is supportive of McCarthy, is opposed to working with Democrats in order to elect a Speaker. (Tweet/Video) As of Thursday afternoon, McCarthy failed to obtain 218 votes on nine ballots. At the beginning of the day, McCarthy urged reporters and Americans watching the votes not to read into the results,

If he ascends to the chair spurning Conservative colleagues and with help of the Dark Side, he is done for. Secondly, Democrat support will not come without a price. And what the Democrats covet most is power. Beware!!

The Uniparty rears its ugly head.
When he'd rather deal with the America hating DNC instead of his own party you know it's gone to Hell.

Go ahead and make a deal with Democrats but not your own party members. We can then jump to the inevitable conclusion of politics in the modern era and quit continuing to waste our time trying to keep the Republican Party alive.

Or it could get even worse than this - it would take just six rino pubbies to crossover and vote for Jeffries. The ultimate political disaster, IMO.

The corruption and deal making is as bad as it has ever been. This is an example of what has been going on for years an is another way to rig and steal an election. If they do this they will be sorry.

If the Republicans prefer working with Democrats over Republicans, that will split the party down the middle. This is a dumb idea.

If McCarthy was voted in on day one, without these negotiations for rules changes and power changes, nothing would change, business a usual. McCarthy would rule like Pelosi having total control over what get said and gets done. Same as Paul Ryan. We need these discussions and changes three days doesn’t hurt a thing since the democrats omnibus keeps democrats alive for nine months. If you like what McConnell did McCarthy would be doing the same in the house.

I loathe this POS. He is one of our congressmen, and is a lying, backstabbing RINO masquerading as a conservative. The problem with voting him out is that, as bad as he is, the democrats that run against him are bat***t crazy. We can’t seem to get a good MAGA candidate to step up. Bacon is a one-star general which is typically what they promote you to when they want to get rid of you. He is thick into the Republican elite, both locally and federally.

The Founder's in their Wisdom and experience, designed the House of Representatives elected officials to only serve a shorter period of time in the Congress than those in the Senate. Thus the Constitution set 2 year terms for the Representatives to serve so they would be closer to those whom they represented in Congress. If the voters approved of what they were doing, they could go back to the voters for their approval of another 2 year term & so on. They were never expected to loose that close touch with their home base State and the people who elected them. But now, some are so entrenched there for decades they think they own the place! Newcomers are intimidated by those who have been entrenched there for too long & have lost touch with the voters who sent them there to TEMPORARILY represent them! The Congress seems to be bogged down in their abuse of the Founder's stated intentions for those elected to serve THIS country and its citizens!

FTA: "Republican Floats Working With Democrats
to Elect McCarthy Speaker"
This is precisely why he is in the position he's in...America needs more than a part-time Patriot! America NEEDS a full-time Patriotic Conservative Republican at the Helm of the House. McCarthy does not fit that parameter, anywhere close!

And now you know the reason why after eleven tries, McCarthy still hasn't won the speakership. Those closest to McCarthy are the ones pushing this idea. Keep advancing such BS and those 20 holdouts will increase in number.

Don Bacon is a liberal Republican and borderline RINO from Nebraska who wins his elections by just a few points, and no doubt would vote to elect Hakeem Jefferies, a socialist Democrat as the Speaker, if Bacon thinks it will help him win his re-election try in 2024. Remember Nebraska has a history of electing bogus conservatives who after arriving in DC turn out to be RINOS.

Call your congressman. Support the goals of the 20. McCarthy can't change his spots. His interest and the house leadership is intent on promoting the status quo which has benefitted them, the lobbyists, wall street and the globalists. They walked away from the fight and if anything, were complicit in all that happened --- the coup, the coordinated wuhan flu response, the continued efforts to squelch populist conservatism and limited government as espoused by Trump Palin, ....
Call and vent to your congressman, They need to know how these twenty are standing athwart history, yelling STOP and we are with them. Congress have multiple offices, call them all. Load up their email.
Don't have a republican congressman? Call the closest one.
Next up, can someone put together or find the list with phone numbers for the brave holdouts? spend two minutes and voice your support. Like Trump, they ae fighting to save the republic and the great nation were once were.
